    Margie (Smith) Geiser, 85, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at the Abundant Christian Living Center in Johnson City. Margie was born in Elizabethton to the late Harry Gerome Smith and Margaret (Eisenberg) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years, Samuel Jason Geiser; her brother, Ron Smith; and several other beloved family members. Margie retired from the insurance industry where she had worked as an insurance underwriter. She was of the Baptist faith. Her greatest joy was her family and she loved spending time with her daughters. She also enjoyed gardening, word search puzzles and was very talented in decorating her home. Those left to remember and cherish Margie’s memory include her daughters, Jan Hoffman and Judy Crowley; a sister-in-law, Linda Smith; two grandchildren, Emily Gault and Tyler Buck; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob Scanlan and Nicole Scanlan. Margie will be laid to rest with her husband at Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Section) on Tuesday, January 31, at 1 p.m. Margie’s daughter will provide a eulogy for her mom.
