    Jimmy L. Keesee, 73, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022, at his home.

    He was born on July 25, 1948, in Bristol, Va., to the late Estel Haynes Keesee and Mary Cecil Jackson Keesee.

    In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Cliff and Dale Keesee; one great granddaughter, Reagan Brooke; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene and Edith Whiteaker; two brothers-in-law, Frank Whiteaker and Glen Mikel; sister-in-law, Dot Keesee and a special friend, Gary Long.

    Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman. He loved spending time in the mountains especially hunting, trout fishing and collecting Indian artifacts. He owned and operated Import Car Supply in Bristol, Va., for several years.

    Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Martha Whiteaker Keesee; four children, Megan Singleton (Clarence “Peanut”), Jesse Keesee (Jamie), Jennifer Gilley (Jeremiah) and Jeff Keesee; three sisters, Shirley Mikeal, Donna Keesee (Melanie) and Judy Brownlee (Barry "Corky"); nine grandchildren, Riley Singleton, Taraney Singleton, Jase Keesee, Jordyn Keesee, Landon Keesee and Luke Fields, Caitlin Gilley, Hannah Gilley and Paige Keesee; three great grandchildren, Addy, Payton and Caton; sister-in-law, Liz Keesee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    A gathering for family and friends to celebrate his life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Frost Funeral Home. There will be no other formal services.
