    Florence Katherine Stevens, 84, Johnson City passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Elizabethton and was a daughter of the late Wally Thomas Richardson and Annie Pearl Williams Richardson. Mrs. Stevens was a charter member of the Y Freewill Baptist Church n Johnson City. She had worked for the Family Drive-In and Skyline Drive-In and retired from the Johnson City Mall. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis ?Hawk? Stevens in 2016; a sister, Sylvia Richardson and two brothers, Carl and Steve Richardson.

    Survivors include her three children, Gary Stevens of Elizabethton, Eugene Stevens and wife, Karen of Madisonville, TN and Sandra Townsend and husband, Mike of Johnson City; three brothers, Frank Richardson and Elbert Richardson both of Elizabethton and Harley Richardson of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Christopher Stevens, Cody Stevens, Eugene Stevens Jr., James Miller and Justin Miller; seven great-grandchildren, Danielle, Sarah, Katherine, Jase, Case and Skyler Stevens and Travis Miller; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brandon Martin and Amy Moses, Chris, Chad and Alicia Townsend, Shea Leigh Moses and Talon and Lilly Martin.

    Graveside services for Mrs. Stevens will be conducted at 2:30 PM Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the Roselawn Memory Park with Rev. Johnny Richardson officiating.

    JOHNSON CITY - Florence Katherine Stevens, 84, Johnson City passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 in the Johnson City Medical Center.

    Graveside services for Mrs. Stevens will be conducted at 2:30 PM Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the Roselawn Memory Park with Rev. Johnny Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City from 1:00 to 2:00 PM then proceed to the cemetery. Mrs. Stevens sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.

    Florence married Lewis Jesse Stevens on 22 May 1953 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Lewis was born on 1 Apr 1936 in Hamilton County, , , Tennessee; died on 13 Aug 2016 in Washington County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Roselawn Memorial Park, , Carter County, Tennessee.     Mr. Gary Stevens, 66, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021. The son of the late Lewis & Florence Richardson Stevens, Gary was born in Carter County, Tennessee, on December 31, 1954.
    Gary retired from East Tennessee State University as a Maintenance Supervisor. He was formerly employed at SB White for 26 years.
    Gary’s grandkids were the light of his life. He had a love for history and enjoyed teaching others about his culture. Gary participated in the Wataugans outdoor drama as Chief Little Carpenter for 30 years. He was a founding member of the Ghost Riders and also founded the Tennessee Frontiersman.
    He is survived by his sons, Chris Stevens and Cody Stevens (Miranda), grandchildren, Sarah Stevens, Katherine Stevens, Case Stevens and Delaney Stevens, brother, Eugene Stevens Sr. (Karen), sister, Sandra Townsend, several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and fur-buddies, Gracie and Daisy.
    In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his first wife, Daisy.
    A funeral service will be held at the Tipton-Haynes Historic Site on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 12:00 PM. The graveside service will follow at 2:00PM at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
