    Jesse Victor "Dopey" Osborne, Jr., 60, resident of 299 Smith Street, husband of Leticia Ramirez "Laddie" Osborne died June 24, 2013 at his mother's home.

    Born at Ft. Jackson, June 12, 1953, he was a son of Elsie Mae Gilliam Osborne and the late Jesse Victor Osborne.

    Dopey was a 1972 graduate of Whitmire High School where he was a proud member of the Beta Club. He attended North Greenville College and was honored to help many friends throughout his life who were studying to receive their South Carolina GED.

    He was formerly employed in commercial and residential construction and also had worked as a Mill Wright.

    Dopey loved to prepare and serve BBQ, but his greatest passion was helping friends and family. His love, generosity and compassion have been shared with many and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

    He was of the Pentecostal faith.

    Surviving in addition to his wife of thirty years of the home and his mother of Whitmire are a daughter, Carly Maude Osborne; and a son, Jesse Victor "Jesus" Osborne, III, both of the home; one brother, Dan "Boone" Osborne and wife Ruth Ann of Mountain City, TN; one sister, Kelly Osborne of Whitmire; and several nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM at Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Eddie Duncan and Reverend Tony Dickert officiating. Burial will follow in Whitmire Cemetery.

    Pallbearers will be Jesse "Jesus" Osborne, Dan "Boone" Osborne, Chris Farmer, Bobby Senn, David "Tee" Crisp and Wayland Gilliam.

    Honorary escort will be Lee "Frog" Moss, Jerry Thomas, Mike Lindler, Bubba Huntsinger and John Roche.
