    Grace Edna Rupard, age 91, of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, died December 27, 2013. She was born on December 4, 1922.

    Grace was employed at the Damascus Hosiery Mill for 33 years and was the Secretary for the Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency in Mountain City for 25 years. Grace loved to work in her vegetable and flower gardens and enjoyed being outside. She also enjoyed a good game of golf. She was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church.

    Grace is survived by her sisters: Margaret Lewis and husband Wayne and Beulah Robinson; very special sister-in-law, Janet Rupard; brother: Herbert ‘Hoover' Rupard and wife Doris; nieces and nephews: Jeff Rupard and wife Melissa, Jon Rupard and wife Kelly, Cindy Cretsinger-Heck and husband Bill, Hilda Robinson, Sandy Ward, Pam Savery, Cathy Canody, Ronnie Campbell, Terry Lewis, Allen Lewis, Phil Winters and Gary Winters; special great nephew and great niece, Kaleb and Channie Cretsinger; several more special great nieces and great nephews; special caregivers: Angie Fletcher, Diane Dunn and Mary McFadden; special pet, Oliver; special neighbors: Terry and Ruth Thomas; special friend, Leola Crowder and many more special friends and neighbors.

    In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her sisters: Shirley Jean Winters, Hazel Noland and Earleen Campbell; brother, Bobby D. ‘Burley' Rupard; brothers-in-law, Vaughn Robinson, Paul Winters and Hubert Campbell; niece, Ann Wiggins; nephew, Sam Noland, and special friend, Bill Moore.

    Funeral services were held at the Mountain City Funeral Home, officiated by Pastors Tom Prater and Warren Stewart. Interment in the Sunset Memorial Park, Damascus, Virginia.

    Pallbearers were Benny Rupard, Terry Thomas, Ronnie Campbell, Eric Taylor, Terry Lewis, Bill Heck and Frankey Shupe.

    Honorary Pallbearers were Allen Lewis, Gary Winters, Phil Winters, Paul Blevins, Kenny Icenhour, Jim Neely, Evan Taylor, Brian Taylor, Dr. William Mark Handy, Lee Hawkins, John Greer, Doug Canody and Zachary Canody.
