    Notes:

    Packy R. Fair, 82, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at his home. He was born in Elizabethton to the late Vernon F. Fair Sr. and Mae (Taylor) Fair. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Kay Fair; a great-grandson, Jaxon Bradley Curl; and a sister, Pat Wilson. Packy was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Stoney Creek Baptist Church. He retired as a forklift operator at Fleming-IJ Company. He loved sitting on his patio and counting the stars. Those left to cherish and remember Packy include his loving wife of 59 years, Darrell Ann Campbell Fair, of the home; his son, Steve Fair and girlfriend Pam Higgins of Elizabethton; two grandchildren, Tiffanie Curl and husband Billy of Elizabethton and Kayla Babb (Lauren) of Paducah, Ky.; two brothers, Vernon F. Fair Jr. of Jonesborough and Tommy Fair of Elizabethton; one sister, Joyce Stevenson of Elizabethton; and three great-grandchildren, Austin Osborne, Trentin Lewis and Bradley Curl, all of Elizabethton. A celebration of Packy’s life will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, April 17, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Pastor Steve Davis officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Military Honors will be accorded at the graveside. Active pallbearers will be members of the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
