    MRS. LOURY ARNOLD
    Funeral services for Mrs. Loury Arnold, 75, who died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday at her home, Doeville, Route 1, Johnson county, following a lingering illness, were held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the residence, Rev. J. O. Jones officiated with burial in the Robertson Cemetery.
    Survivors include her husband, Gatha Arnold, a brother, Webb Rambo, Johnson City and one sister, Mrs. Florence Elliott, also of Johnson City.

    LAURA IRENE RAMBO ARNOLD was born Jan. 9, 1871, and died Feb. 8, 1946, age 75 years and one month. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Rambo.
    She married Gatha Arnold, Sept. 20, 1896, who survives. To this union no children were born. She is also survived by one sister, Florence Elliott, Johnson City; two brothers, Webster Rambo, Johnson City and Gerdie Rambo, Oregon.

    BUTLER — Verda Graybeal, age 73, of Butler, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 8, 2016, at the Bristol Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

    She was born on November 20, 1942, daughter of the late Fred and Lona Stout Elliott.

    In addition to her parents, Verda was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Graybeal, who passed March 11, 2010 and her sister, Betty Phillips.

    Verda was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved visiting and spending time with neighbors and friends. Verda loved summertime, raising a vegetable garden and growing beautiful flowers. She was adored by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.

    Verda was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

    Her memory and life will be cherished by her husband and best friend, Bobby Graybeal; son, Tommy Tolley; brother, Earnest and Constance Elliott; sister, Mary Shepherd; step sister, Mary Jane Sexton and husband Joe; daughter-in-law and mother of Verda's grandchildren, Angie Perry Graybeal; grandchildren, Shonae Graybeal and Hunter Graybeal; nieces, Joni Shepherd, Lori Deloach and Gloria South; nephews, Marty Elliott and Barry Elliott; many more special nieces and nephews and many, many special friends.

    The family will receive friends from 3 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2016, at the Rock Springs Baptist Church with the service following at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Harvey White officiating.

    Interment will follow in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest by her son, Tim.

    ELIZABETHTON — The Lord Took Pamela Gwen "Pam" Rambo Hicks, 61, Elizabethton to be with him Monday, September 28, 2015, at her residence after a brief illness.

    She was a Carter County native. Pam was a 1971 graduate of Unaka High School. She was a member of the Order of Confederate Rose "Wild Mountain Roses" Chapter 11 of Elizabethton.

    Pam attended Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She was loved by many friends.

    She was preceded in death by her father, C.W. Rambo.

    Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Bill Hicks; her mother, Lillie Belle Colbaugh Rambo, Elizabethton; a sister, Paula Rambo, Unicoi; a brother, Perry Rambo and wife Debra, Elizabethton, several cousins and her dog Missy.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ray Colbaugh and Mr. Randy Carrier officiating.

    Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Dale Williams and Dennis Laws and Gary Melvin, Piper. Active Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sons of the Confederate Veterans.

    A Memorial Graveside Service will be conducted by the Order of the Black Rose.

    The family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence or the residence of her mother Lillie Belle Rambo, Elizabethton.
