8. | Belva Dean White ![]() Notes: Belva Dean White, 82, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at Hillview Health Center. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Chalmer and Hazel Garland White. Belva Dean was a graduate of Unaka High School. She retired in 1992 from Alcatel USA and was a member of New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church. She loved to work crossword puzzles and card games. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Cole Davenport and Evelyn Andes; two brothers, Dallas and Tony White; and a nephew, Gary Wayne White. Survivors include two sisters, JoAnne (Delbert) Reese and Thelma (James) Nutter; two brothers, Richard (Carolyn) White and Roger White; several nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Diane White and Wanda White. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, in the Blevins Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Greer officiating. |
