    ...70, of Old Jonesboro highway, died in a Greeneville hospital at 4:15 p.m., Nov. 8.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ena Lowe; six sons, Pruitt, Albert, and Jack of Kingsport; Gale, L.W., Jr., and Charles of Jonesboro, four daughters, Mrs. Reba Pangle of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Inez Henry of Memphis, Mrs. Mary Sue Murray of Norfolk, Va., and Mrs. Alberta Miller, of Jonesboro; two brothers, E. H. of Rte 3, Jonesboro and J. M. of Mountain City and five sisters, Miss Emma Lowe of Jonesboro, Mrs. Cassie Morley, Mrs. Trula Berry, Mrs. Alice Stout, all of Elizabethton; Mrs. Ida McEwen of Mountain City, and seven grandchildren.
    Funeral was at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10 at Midway Baptist Church on Old Jonesboro Highway with Rev. D. B. Bowers in charge, who was assisted by Rev. Roland Powell and Rev. Marvin Compher. Burial was in Oaks Cemetery.

    Lawson married Mary Ena Morley on 27 Apr 1912 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. Mary (daughter of James Calvin Morley and Eliza Olivene Kite) was born in Feb 1896 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; died about 1987 in , Giles County, Tennessee, ; was buried in Onks Cemetery, , Washington County, Tennessee.     Mr. Charles Smith Lowe, age 84, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Lowe was a native of Washington County and son of the late Lawson & Mary Ena Morley Lowe. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Pruitt Lowe, Reba Pangle, Inez Henry, Albert Lowe, Alberta Miller, Mary Sue Murray and Gale Lowe. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Mr. Lowe was past Director of Washington County Farm Bureau and Washington County Co-op. He was a Dairyman and had worked for East Tennessee Select Sires and bred dairy cattle for 40 years. Charlie, as he was known to his friends, was an avid hunter, enjoying deer and quail hunting. His hobbies including raising cochin chickens and quail. Charlie loved the outdoors, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Roxana Sliger Lowe, Jonesborough; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick & Peggy Lowe, Johnson City, and Bob & Karen Lowe, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jessica Leu (David), Matt Lowe (Lindy), Miranda Caldwell (Shane), Derrick Lowe, Sarah Banner (Dom), Shaun Whaley (Stephanie), Andi Whaley and Ashlee Whaley; great-grandchildren, Emmarae Bradley, Amaris Bradley, Lennox Banner, Luke Lowe, Maggie Lowe, Levi Leu, Delaney Leu and Eva Caldwell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack & Betty Lowe, Johnson City, and Lawson W. Jr. & Ethel Lowe, Knoxville; special caregiver and friend, Joey Hankins. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013, at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Interment services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2013, at Onks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Lowe, Derrick Lowe, Dom Banner, Shaun Whaley, David Leu, Shane Caldwell, Nick Hubler and Steven Dernovshek. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Lowe, Kenny Rawles, Lawton Saylor and Butch Carmichael.

    Charles married Roxana "Roxie" Sliger on 15 Jun 1951 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee. Roxana (daughter of Enoch M. Sliger and Amanda F. Dunn) was born about 1929 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee; died on 30 Aug 2019 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Onks Cemetery, , Washington County, Tennessee.
