    Notes:

    Reverend Norman Ray Loveless, 80, of Piney Flats, Tenn., passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, at home. He was born in Carter County, Tenn., to the late Dave Loveless and Mildred Jenkins Loveless. Reverend Loveless was the Minister for Oak Dale Freewill Baptist Church in Bluff City, Tenn., and was the Pastor in area churches for over 50 years and ordained in 1971. Reverend Loveless enjoyed preaching, hunting and fishing.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Peterson Loveless; sister, Shirley Hartley; and grandson, Joshua Ray Loveless.
    Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Phyllis Ingle Loveless, of the home; two sons, Bobby Ray Loveless and wife Mildred of Elizabethton and Danny Ray Loveless and wife Melissa of Bluff City; three daughters, Debra Marie Sherwood and husband Glenn of Elizabethton, Teresa Lynn Pitman and husband Kevin of Hampton, Tenn., and Angela Renee Watson and husband Wayne of Elizabethton; five grandchildren, Rachel Rodriguez and husband Art of Florida, Lauren McInturff and husband Daniel of Johnson City, Misty Anne Branch and husband Joshua of Elizabethton, Brittney Taylor and husband Daniel of Johnson City and Johnathan Watson of Elizabethton; six great-grandchildren, Reegan Taylor, Abram Taylor, Benaiah Taylor and Brody McInturff, all of Johnson City, Malachai Branch and Jada Branch of Elizabethton; brother, Kenneth Loveless and wife Dawn of Johnson City; brother-in-law, Charlie Ingle and wife Dorothy of Virginia; and sister-in-law, Margie Leonard of Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    A funeral service to honor the life of Reverend Norman Ray Loveless will be conducted at noon on Saturday, September 4, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home. The family will receive friends between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon Saturday, prior to the service. The graveside service and committal will follow in the McKeehan Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Arrowood, Pastor Charlie Trivette and Pastor Terry Richardson officiating. Pallbearers will be Bobby Loveless, Danny Loveless, Wayne Watson, Kevin Pittman, Glenn Sherwood and Jeff Hartley. Honorary pallbearers are Daniel McInturff, Johnathan Watson, Josh Branch, Art Rodriguez and Daniel Taylor.
