Rachel Pauline Brown age 90 of Richmond Hill, Georgia, formally of Memphis and Mountain City, Tennessee, passed on Thursday July 4th, 2019, at Baptist Hospital of Memphis.

She was born November 12, 1928, in Mountain City to the late Asa Main and Ella Reece Main. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in death by her husband Harold Neal Brown and 4 children Jeff Brown, Jerry Brown, Diane Morris, and Sid Brown.

Those left to cherish her memory are her Grandchildren, Brian Brown of Richmond Hill, Ga and Elyesa Haney of Memphis, TN; her sister, Patricia Fincher of Queen City, Texas; 5 Great grandchildren, and special friend Debra Lockard of Memphis also survive.

Services for Rachel will be 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 10th, 2019, in the Charles B. Hux Chapel of Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with visitation from 10 to 10:30 am. Pastor Dwayne Dickson will officiate.

Interment will take place in the Main Cemetery following funeral services.

Sidney Estel Main, age 78, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at his home. He was born June 13, 1940 in Johnson County, TN to the late Asa Main and Mae Reece Main. In addition to his parents Sid was preceded in death by sisters; Eula Mae, Nelie, Marie, Ida, Thelma and Edith, brother, J.R. Main

He worked as a machinist at Vermont American for 26 years. Sid was known of his love for hunting especially coon hunting and he enjoyed all animals. He was a member of Vaughts Gap Baptist Church and served as Deacon.

Those left to cherish his memories is his wife of over 57 years, Ida Mae Arnold Main, daughter, Felicia Lynn Campbell and husband Charles 'Mic', sons, Frank Main and wife Joetta and Keith Main, sisters, Patricia 'Pat' Fincher and Rachel Brown, grandchildren, Brooke, Weston and Cameron Campbell and Jacob and Asa Main, great-grandchildren, Kayden, Frederick, Adeline, Charlie and one expected to arrive in July, several nieces and nephews and many, many special friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 1 to 2p.m. at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors, Chuck Morefield and Billy Styles to officiate. Music will be by Vaughts Gap Choir. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Weston, Cameron, Jake and Asa and Howard Stout and Desi Ward. Honorary pallbearers are Charles 'Mic' Campbell and Allen Poe. Graveside service and burial will follow from the Main Cemetery (Forrester Hollow Rd.) in Mountain City.

Mr. Taft Eggers, 94, of Trade, Tennessee, died Friday, September 12, 2003 at Watauga Medical Center, following a brief illness.

He was born October 28, 1908, the late Millard Monroe and Nelia Main Eggers, and was a native of Trade, Tennessee.

Mr. Eggers was a farmer, logger and a former employee of the Johnson County Highway Department. He was a member of the Centerview Church of Christ.

Survivors include four daughters; three sons; four sisters; one brother, 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, seven step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; and special friend Boyd.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosa Miller Eggers; one daughter, Jean Eggers Lippard, one daughter-in-law, Eleanor Roberts Eggers; an infant daughter; one brother, Stacy Eggers; one sister, Lola Wilson and one son-in-law, Dick Wilson.

Services were conducted Sunday evening at 8 p.m. at the Hux-Lippard Funeral Home, officiated by Mr. Bud Gentry and Mr. Darrell Broking officiating. Entombment services were held Monday morning at 10 a.m. at the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum of Love.

ELIZABETHTON - Edith Finney, age 94, of Elizabethton, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

She was a daughter of the late Parker G. and Nettie Cable Main and was born on February 11, 1925 in Butler, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer Finney and three brothers, Edgar "Bud" Main, W.K. "Bob" Main and Parker G. Main, Jr.

Edith was a happy and caring person who was always ready to help others in need. She was a long-time member of Sims Hill Christian Church who regularly attended all of the services and activities as long as her health permitted. She was also a member of the Carter County Humane Society for over twenty years.

Edith loved being a homemaker and was known for her cozy and inviting home that she always enjoyed decorating for the holidays. She loved gardening and was proud of preserving the vegetables that she had grown. She was blessed to have many friends and enjoyed life.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sisters, Stella Tester of Elizabethton and Mary Jo Laws of Butler; a niece, Penny White of Elizabethton; a nephew, Larry Finney of Elizabethton; special friends and relatives including: Peggy Davenport, Shelia Woods, Mack and Linda Henry, Bill and Sharron Hampton and other nieces, nephews and cousins who were all special to Edith.

A service to celebrate the life of Edith Finney will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Mr. Brett Jones, Minister officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mrs. Sheila Woods. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, prior to the funeral service.

The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the Whitehead Cemetery in Butler. Active pallbearers will be selected from the men of Sims Hill Christian Church.

Mary Jo Laws, 86, Butler, went home to be with the Lord, on Saturday, April 22, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Mary Jo was the daughter of the late P.G. and Nettie Cable Main. She worked as a homemaker, caregiver and her favorite job as the “Chef” at Toddler Time Daycare. Mary Jo was a very loving and giving person who made sure her children and grandchildren were taken care of before herself. She loved flowers and animals, especially her ducks, Bob and Sally. She was a member of Elk River Baptist Church. In addition to her parents Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Haskel “Sonny” Laws; two sisters, Edith Finney and Stella Tester; three brothers, Bud, Bob and P.G. Jr. (June); and son-in-law, Roger Woods. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Wes) Asher, Sheila Woods and Sonya Hardin; five grandchildren, Brandy Trivett (James), Kristal (Greg) Andrews, Samantha (Josh) Hinson, D.J. A native of Carter County, (Fish Springs Community) she was a daughter of the late Frank & Sallie Main Smith. Mrs. Cutlip attended Watauga Academy, Butler. She was employed as a LPN at the former Carter County Memorial Hospital for several years. She was a member of the Daughters of The American Revolution, a member of the Hampton Eastern Star and a member of Rittertown Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Edward Cutlip, December 20, 2000, by two daughters: Ranell Orfield and Shonette Tolley , three brothers: Brown, Bud & W.K. Smith and three sisters: Jean Morris, Letta Walker and Virginia Greene and One Great Granddaughter.

Survivors include one Son & daughter-in-law: Charles & JoAnn Cutlip, Mountain City. One Sister: Doris Troutman, Hampton. Two Sons-In-Law: Gene Orfield and Herman Tolley. Doris Troutman, 88, of Hampton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 10, 2018, from Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Doris was born in Carter County to the late Frank and Sallie Main Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Guy Troutman, and several brothers and sisters.
Doris was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Rittertown Baptist Church where she was the choir director for over 30 years. Doris was a member of Eastern Star and enjoyed genealogy and loved singing praises to the Lord.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Anthony Troutman and wife Debbie of Hampton; two granddaughters, Allison and Cyndie and her husband Travis; and five great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Doris Troutman will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, December 13, at Rittertown Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Stout officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 until 3:30 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. The graveside service will follow in the Rittertown Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Allen Clyde Mains, Sr., 94, of Toughkenamon, passed away on April 27, 2015 at Jennersville Regional Hospital, West Grove.
He was the husband of the late Marie Ward Mains.
Born in Shouns, TN he was the son of the late Brownlow and Zilda Tester Mains.
Clyde was a veteran of the US Army and served in WWII.
He was a retired carpenter. Clyde was a member of the Wm W. Fahey Post 491 American Legion, Kennett Square. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, watching Eagle football games and NASCAR.
He is survived by one son, Allen C. Mains, Jr. (Evelyn) of Landenberg; one daughter, Sherry Potter (Donald) of Lincoln University; two grandchildren, Donald Potter, Jr. (Jeannie), and Tina Pairo (Larry); and four great-grandchildren, Timmy, Shelby, Alexis, and Donny.
He was preceded in death by two brother, William Mains and Charles Mains.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm, Saturday, May 2, at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St. Oxford, PA, where friends and family may visit from 12-1 pm.
Interment with full military honors will be in Homeville Cemetery, Cochranville.

Wanda Lee Brown, age 69, of 158 H. Curd Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 11, 2019, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 5, 1949, to the late William Howard "Taft" and Rosa Ella Miller Eggers. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Marvin Roby Brown and Ida Simcox Brown. In addition to her parents and in-laws, she was preceded in death by her sister, Roma Jean Eggers Lipford and Shirley Mae Eggers Jenkins.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 53 years, Billy Ray Brown, sons Robert Keith Brown and wife Heather and Jeffrey Scott Brown and wife Pam, along with three grandsons that were the loves of her life, Griffin Brown, Isaac Brown, and Carson Brown. She is also survived by her brothers, Frank "Earl" Eggers of Neva, Eddie Dale Eggers and wife, Liz of Arizona, Teddy Austin Eggers and wife, Jan of Bristol, TN, sisters Carolyn "Sue" Wilson of Limestone, TN and Phyllis Joan Parker of Trade, TN. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews that were very dear throughout her life.

Wanda was an excellent seamstress and worked from her home for many years sewing. She was most widely known for her excellent cake decorating and was in high demand for her beautiful creations for over forty years. She was a former employee of the Mountain City Glove Plant for many years before receiving her CNA II certification and pursuing a career in healthcare for Watauga County, North Carolina's Project on Aging where she retired after 18 years of service in 2012.

Wanda was a member of Hammons Chapel Christian Church. Her family has been especially blessed by their pastor Josh Giddings, who has been a constant source of strength, faith and a prayer warrior for the family during this trying time.

Funeral Services for Wanda Brown will be held Wednesday, August 14th, 2019, at 7:00 pm from the C.B Hux Memorial Chapel with a visitation from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Graveside Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 10:00 am.

Pallbearers will be Gary Cable, Darren Jenkins, Michael Lipford, Carroll Parker, Terry Parker, Buster Brown, Brad Gentry, and Craig Lipford. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Simcox, Jake Lewis, Erick Toby, and Brad Woods.

William Lloyd Wilson, Sr., 89, of Avondale, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Twin Pines Health Care Center, West Grove.

He was the husband of Janice Marie Greer Wilson with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.

Born in Mt. City, TN he was the son of the late Alfred and Lola Belle Eggers Wilson.

William was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving in Korean War.

William was Baptist by faith.

He was a self-employed truck driver delivering hay and straw to the local horse farms and was also retired from Hudson Farms in West Grove.

He enjoyed taking care of his yard, working on cars and trucks and spending time with his family and pets.

He is survived by his wife; one son, William Lloyd Miles of AZ; one daughter, Judith Casanta (Leonard) of West Grove; four step-children, Jerry Ricky Price (Sue) of New London, Linda Pastorius (Bob) of West Grove, Edward Price (Sally Mull) of Rising Sun, MD and Christine Rickabaugh (Paul) of Cochranville; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; twelve step-great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Boyd Wilson of Mt. City, TN, Stacey Wilson of Nottingham, Nell Greer of Toughkenamon, Curtis Greer of Quarryville and Gordon Wilson of London Grove.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Penny Wilson Brown; one grandson, Eric Price; one great-granddaughter, Aria Sydenstricker and one brother, Tom Wilson.

Funeral services will be held 11 am on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, where family and friends may visit from 10 – 11 am.

Interment will be in New London Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Boyd was born on May 1st, 1934 in Johnson County, Tennessee to the late Alfred Wilson and Lola Eggers, Wilson in addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his wife,Lena Osborne Wilson, and brothers Bill Wilson and Tom Wilson and Devoted Companion Marguerite Miller.

Boyd loved Working with his roses, gardening and yard work.

Frances Eastridge, age 96, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 16, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hacker Eastridge, her parents, Lottie Tester Dunn and George Dunn, sisters Jane Hodge, Pauline Icenhour, Opal Woodward, Lynn Payne, Ann Drinnon, brother, Raymond Dunn and son-in-law, Dennis Burgess.

Survivors include her four children, Kate Burgess, Nancy Eastridge, Junior and wife, Patricia Eastridge, Patti Clark, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Special friends were Ann Pennington, Phyllis Rominger, Linda Pardue and Pastor David Hankal.

After retiring from Burlington Industries, Frances and Hacker enjoyed "taking trips" with family. Some of their favorite places to visit were Hungry Mother Park, Backbone Rock, Tweetsie, and Carowinds. They also loved to visit out of state relatives. After she became a widow in 1985, Frances joined Senior Citizens and enjoyed quilting and taking trips with them.

Frances was a member of Roan Creek Baptist Church and attended regularly as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed crafts such as sewing, quilting, crocheting and making dolls. In her later years, she loved to work word search puzzles. Frances loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her pride and joy and she loved to spoil them.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 3pm in the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Hankal officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm – 3 pm prior to services at Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel. Graveside service and interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Ronnie Edward Dunn, age 75, of Mountain City, TN passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Mountain City Care Center. He was born in Johnson County, TN on October 2, 1946 to the late Edward Paul Dunn and Radell McCoy Dunn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Kathy Sue Forrester Dunn, sons, Frankie Edward Dunn and Joseph “Joe” Dunn, sisters, Shirley Sheets, Peggy Barton, Patsy Forrester and Evelyn Sewell; brothers, Danny Dunn, Hobert Dunn and Gino Dunn.

Ronnie was a union carpenter for many years and after retiring back to Tennessee he was known to be a handy man. He loved being outdoors, running hound dogs, hunting and fishing. Ronnie especially loved visiting family and spending time with them all. He served in United States Marines in Vietnam from 1966-1969. Ronnie attended Calvary Baptist Church.

Clyde was a veteran of the US Army and served in WWII.
He was a retired carpenter. Clyde was a member of the Wm W. Fahey Post 491 American Legion, Kennett Square. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, watching Eagle football games and NASCAR.
He is survived by one son, Allen C. Mains, Jr. (Evelyn) of Landenberg; one daughter, Sherry Potter (Donald) of Lincoln University; two grandchildren, Donald Potter, Jr. (Jeannie), and Tina Pairo (Larry); and four great-grandchildren, Timmy, Shelby, Alexis, and Donny.
He was preceded in death by two brother, William Mains and Charles Mains.

Lois C Tester, age 84, of 1091 Sandy Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born April 10, 1938 in Mountain City, Tennessee to the late William Claude Tester and Dottie Mae Triplet Tester. She enjoyed cooking, bird watching and gardening. She attended First Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Bob Tester; sisters, Margie Trivette, Christine Morelock, Ella Jean Lewis and Arlene Burgess.

Her survivors include two daughters, Winola Perkins (Terry) and Ginger Norris both of Mountain City. Two sons Jeff Tester (Dreama) of Butler and Dennis (Pug) Tester of Mountain City; Sister, Joyce Bradley (Jack) of Butler; grandchildren, Kody Norris (Mary Rachel) of Mountain City, Dustin Tester of Mountain City; Joe Smith, Aubrey Smith, Brandon Smith and Mystery Smith all of Butler; two great grandchildren, William (doodlebug) Smith and Jaxtyn Smith of Butler; special friends, Cheryl Woods and Beverly Miller also survive.

Rev. Raleigh Mack Arnold Sr., age 78, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went on to be with the Lord Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born August 21, 1940 in Mountain City, Johnson County, TN to the late Raleigh Duff Arnold and Nellie Rhea Tester Arnold. In addition to his parents Mack was preceded in death by a baby sister Alice.

Mack was a pastor for 33 years at the Porters Grove Baptist Church in Conowingo, MD where he retired. After he retired he returned to Mountain City, TN where he did pulpit fill-ins and revivals for the remainder of his life. He was in the pulpit filling in at Antioch Baptist 2 weeks prior to his death. He loved the Lord, his family and was well respected. Mack loved to fish, hunt and enjoyed Ginseng and wild egg hunting as well. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten or equaled. In his ministry there were over 2,000 souls saved.

Gary Norman Trivett, "Lum-Gum", husband, father and ABSOLUTE BEST "PAW" to his grandbabies, entered into perfect peace on Sunday, October 1, 2017 as he succumbed to his battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's as a result of exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam.

Those left to treasure his memory are his wife and ever-present Caregiver of 49 years, Freada, his daughters, Tracie Percell and husband, Troy, Jonesborough and Brittney Campbell and husband, Alex, Hampton. Four Grandchildren, Taylor and Tristan Michael Percell and Braylon and Brogen Campbell, and 1 Great Granddaughter, Teagan Percell. One brother, Johnnie Trivett and wife Lois, Kingston, two sisters: Gaynell Ilar, Kingston, and Peggy Marlene Tolley and husband Keith, Elizabethton, In addition several nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan Carl and Agnes Delphia Sutherland Trivett, and a sister, Nadine Campbell.

Gary was a Graduate of Hampton High School, Sergeant in U.S. ARMY, Reserve Deputy at Carter County Sherriff's Department and retired from the Carter County School system as a Teacher from HHS in 2008.

Gary was an avid fisherman, loved fast cars, including his NOVA, and had a caring and compassionate heart, but most of all LOVED and enjoyed being "Paw" to Taylor, Michael, Braylon, Brogen and Teagan.

He spent time camping at Roan Mountain State Park with his "Camping Buddies". He was a Member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church

HAMPTON - Shonette Mardell Tolley, age 81, of Hampton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday July 24, 2016. She was born January 19, 1935 in Akron, Ohio to Frank & Lillian Cutlip.

Shonette was a graduate of Hampton High School and was retired from the United States Postal Service. She was an active member of Rittertown Baptist Church where she had served as Minister of Music for many years.

Mrs. Tolley was preceded in death by her father, Frank Cutlip; her sister Rannell Orefield and her granddaughter, Amber Shaw Calhoun.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Herman Tolley; her mother, Lillian Cutlip; sons, Keith and Leon (Rebecca) and daughter, Patty; granddaughters, Tracy Guy (Jeff) and Tammy Jordan; grandsons, Mitchell, R.J. and Ezra; great-grandchildren, Lane and Timber Shaw, Jeffrey, River and Rudy Guy, brother, Charles Cut lip (JoAnn); and special friends, Garry Smith and Shrill Davis and Simon.

Patsy Ann Mains Chappell went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 12, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on November 21, 1948 to the late William S. and Betty A. Mains. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (Bob) Mains and son, Robert Shawn Boudle.

Survivors include her brother William (Billy) Mains of Maryland, her children, Shannon K. Clark, Stephanie A. Clark, Steven E. Chappell, and Kristy N. Perry/Presnell and husband, Norman Presnell.

Bob was an avid collector of Indian artifacts. He also enjoyed caring for his pet birds and taking care of his flowers. He loved his family and adored his granddaughter, Savannah.

John Kenneth Eisenhower, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Johnson City, TN. John was born on November 29, 1932 to the late Joseph and Mary Eisenhower. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Ruth and Betty and brother, George.

John was a lifelong resident of Johnson County who loved being outdoors, fishing, and hunting. He was a kind-hearted family man and a great example of a husband and father. He enjoyed giving everyone nicknames and he was lovingly nicknamed “Jart”. He had a special love for Sunset Beach, NC, and the wonderful seafood. He also loved gardening, Andy Griffith Show, Gunsmoke, and celebrating his favorite holiday, Christmas.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 64 years, Barbara Eisenhower; daughters, Debbie Eisenhower, Donna Eisenhower, Karen Widener (Gary); sons, Johnny Eisenhower II, Bryan Eisenhower (Tammy); sisters, Mary, Becky, Sue; grandchildren, Robbie McLean (Kim), Doug Trivette, Scott Trivette, DJ Arnold, Eric Eisenhower, Johnny Eisenhower III (Jessica), Kayla, Lexie, Megan Eisenhower, Logan Eisenhower, Connor Eisenhower, Daisy Eisenhower; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; special friend, Dean Arnold; several nieces and nephews.

Patsy Ann Mains Chappell went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 12, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on November 21, 1948 to the late William S. and Betty A. Mains. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (Bob) Mains and son, Robert Shawn Boudle.

Survivors include her brother William (Billy) Mains of Maryland, her children, Shannon K. Clark, Stephanie A. Clark, Steven E. Chappell, and Kristy N. Perry/Presnell and husband, Norman Presnell.
Grandchildren include Trevor Clark, Tayla Clark, Caleb Boudle, Ciera Poteet and husband, Jason, Alton Clark, Colby Clark, Palara Clark, Darren Chappell, Bryce Chappell, Peyton Perry, Ryleigh Perry, Kynnedi Perry, Corbin Presnell, and Pacey Presnell. Great-grandchildren include Rhett Poteet and Memphis Poteet.

Special family and friends include but not limited to Ms. Darlene Tester, not only a cousin but Patsy’s best friend. They had many adventures together from early childhood right up to the time of her sickness. We are grateful for the love and support she gave to our mother.

A special thanks to her niece Codi Pass and Jason Pass for all their love and support and a special thanks to Shohn Perry.

A special thanks to Vicki Chappell Stout and husband Michael Stout, along with Calli and Carli, and Frankie and Bobbie Chappell and family, for their continued support and will always be our sister and brother, thank you for what you have been through with us. We love you dearly.

A special thank you to her cousin Everett Reece who called, continually prayed for her, and checked on her continuously.

There are so many people who helped and we thank all of you and sorry if we have missed your names. We send our sincere appreciation and love. Thanks to Hospice, Joanie, Laura, and especially Gail.

Patsy loved mowing her yard and planting flowers and especially her bird houses and feeding the birds. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and loved spending time with family, friends, and was always trying to help others. She was a strong woman her whole life and provided for and always made her family a number one priority. Patsy, you will be greatly missed and always loved and will be forever in our thoughts and hearts.

Robert Joseph “Bob” Mains, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at his home. Bob was born on February 7, 1954 to the late William and Betty Mains in Mountain City, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Hunter Mains and Alexia Mains.
Bob was an avid collector of Indian artifacts. He also enjoyed caring for his pet birds and taking care of his flowers. He loved his family and adored his granddaughter, Savannah.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Codi Pass and husband Jason; son, Joseph Mains; sister, Patsy Chappell; brother, William Mains; grandchildren, Savannah Mains, Sawyer Mains; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a graveside service held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Phillippi Cemetery with Pastor Greg Thompson and Pastor Berry Dunn officiating. Pallbearers will be Steven Chappell, Darren Chappell, Norman Presnell, and Dale Potter. Honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Clark, Caleb Boudle, and Jack Arnold.
