    Anna Lee Shoun, age 89, of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on May 27, 2019 at the Mountain City Care Center, Mountain City, Tennessee.

    She was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved reading the Bible and helping others.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Dotson (mother) and Willie Dotson (stepfather); sisters, Addie Horne and Myrtle Snyder; brothers, Paul Shelton, John Shelton and Robert Shelton and her husband, Doran Shoun and son, Mark.

    She is survived by daughters: Elizabeth Roush and husband Matthew; Deane Brooks and husband Eddie; Deb Stevenson and husband Gene and Reba Taylor and a son, Stuart Shoun. Sister-In-Law, Ruby Shelton. Grandchildren Reagan Click and Casie Roush; Great grandchild Anslee Danner and several nieces and nephews and a very special friend Mabel Hagaman.

    It was Anna Lee's wishes to be cremated and there will be no formal services held.

    Anna married Doran Elder Shoun after 1956 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. Doran (son of Leonard Pedro Shoun and Laura Ellen Roberts) was born on 9 May 1910 in , Giles County, Tennessee, ; died on 31 May 1985 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Burley Shoun Cemetery, , Johnson County, Tennessee.     Notes:

    Wayne S. Snyder, age 67, of 221 Trivette Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Wayne was born in Bend, Oregon on December 29, 1950, to Hardin and Myrtle Shelton Snyder. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his daughter Melanie Billings.

    Wayne worked in the sawmill most of his life. When Wayne was not working, he enjoyed traveling across the country, which he did many times. He also enjoyed old cars, especially his Buick, and motorcycles.

    Those left to cherish Wayne's memory are his loving wife, Nancy Cox Snyder; his son Donald Snyder and fiancé Holly Brown; his sisters Gail Snyder, Joyce Snyder and husband Burl, Sue Roark and husband Pablo DeLaVega, Barbara Furches and husband Dan, and Joan Peters and husband Danny; his grandchildren Stephany Posten, Laken Moore, and Hailey Tuggle; special friends Don Thomas, Danny Ray Wilson, Jim Hensley, Tom Icenhour, Bill Triplett, and Reeves Snyder.

    Memorial service for Wayne Snyder will be conducted on Friday, December 7, 2018, at 8pm in the Charlie B. Hux Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6pm – 8pm prior to the service. At other times the family will receive friends at the home.

    We are saddened to announce the passing of Kim Shelton Main, age 52, on Sunday, September 25, 2022 in Amorem Hospice, Hudson, NC after an extended illness. She was born August 16, 1970 to the late John Shelton and Shirley Ashley Shelton. Kim enjoyed collecting Precious Moments figurines, antiques and knives. She also loved flowers and gospel music. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Brandy Nichole Main and two brothers: Rick and Johnny Shelton.

    Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Dennis Main; 3 sons: Thomas Main, Eric Main and Jeremiah Main, all of Creston, NC; 3 sisters: Debbie (Robert) Roark of Trade, TN; Lisa (Michael) Mast of Fleetwood, NC and Tracie (Benji) Pleasant of Lenoir, NC; 2 brothers: Jeff Shelton of Mountain City, TN and Jonathan Shelton of Johnson City, TN. Several nieces, nephews and her dog Delilah also survive and special friends Elibge Greer and Iva Lee Greer, both of Creston, NC.


    A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm from Sutherland Baptist Church on Brown Hollow Road, Creston, NC with Anthony Roark and Chuck Call officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in Main Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brian Shelton, Ricky Ray Shelton, Keith Loggins, Benji Pleasant and Michael Mast. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Shelton, Tom Main, Jamie Brown, Jonathan Shelton.
