    Sidney Estel Main, age 78, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at his home. He was born June 13, 1940 in Johnson County, TN to the late Asa Main and Mae Reece Main. In addition to his parents Sid was preceded in death by sisters; Eula Mae, Nelie, Marie, Ida, Thelma and Edith, brother, J.R. Main

    He worked as a machinist at Vermont American for 26 years. Sid was known of his love for hunting especially coon hunting and he enjoyed all animals. He was a member of Vaughts Gap Baptist Church and served as Deacon.

    Those left to cherish his memories is his wife of over 57 years, Ida Mae Arnold Main, daughter, Felicia Lynn Campbell and husband Charles 'Mic', sons, Frank Main and wife Joetta and Keith Main, sisters, Patricia 'Pat' Fincher and Rachel Brown, grandchildren, Brooke, Weston and Cameron Campbell and Jacob and Asa Main, great-grandchildren, Kayden, Frederick, Adeline, Charlie and one expected to arrive in July, several nieces and nephews and many, many special friends.

    The family will receive friends on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 1 to 2p.m. at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors, Chuck Morefield and Billy Styles to officiate. Music will be by Vaughts Gap Choir. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Weston, Cameron, Jake and Asa and Howard Stout and Desi Ward. Honorary pallbearers are Charles 'Mic' Campbell and Allen Poe. Graveside service and burial will follow from the Main Cemetery (Forrester Hollow Rd.) in Mountain City.
