    Notes:

    Loyd Wilmer Blankenbeckler, age 89 and better known as Brownie, passed away on October 8, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness.

    Brown was born June 13, 1929 in Mountian City, TN to the late Marion and Chloe (Mullis) Blankenbeckler. In addition to his parents, Brownie was preceded in death by his three brothers and three sisters.

    Brownie worked millwrighting for many years. He loved music and was a gifted guitar player and had a band in his early years. Brownie was a United States Air Force Veteran.

    Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 69 years, Dorothy Osborne Blankenbeckler, sister, Wilma Henley, sister-in-law, Francis Blankenbeckler, both of Johnson City, TN, sons, Roger Blankenbeckler and wife Charlene, granddaughter, Miranda, great granddaughter, Ava, son, David Blankenbeckler and wife Christi, granddaughters, Whitney and Logan.

    It was Brownie's wish to be cremated and that no formal service be held.

    MOUNTAIN CITY - Roger L. Blankenbeckler, age 65, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Johnson County Community Hospital.

    He was born on April 11, 1953 to Dorothy Osborne Blankenbeckler and the late Loyd Blankenbeckler, who passed away October 8, 2018.

    Like his father, Roger was a gifted musician and singer. He could play several instruments but his favorite was the steel guitar. Roger loved being outdoors any chance that he could. He especially enjoyed just being able to relax and watch birds, animals and anything nature. Roger also liked to cook outside in his dutch oven. He could cook just about anything in it. He enjoyed browsing the internet at times and even set up his own website THE ROADHOUSE.

    Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 36 years, Charlene Blevins Blankenbeckler; his mother, Dorothy, all of Mountain City, TN; daughter, Miranda L. Blankenbeckler of Columbus, GA; brother, David Lee Blankenbeckler and wife Christi, also of Mountain City, TN; granddaughter, Ava Grace Valencia, also of Columbus, GA; nieces, Whitney and Logan.

    It was Roger's wish to be cremated and that no formal service be held.
