Rose Edna Millsaps

JOHNSON CITY - Edna "Gran Gran" Eggers, 93, of Johnson City went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Four Oaks Health Care.

She was a native of Vilas, NC and daughter of the late Robert and Belle Milsaps.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Jack Eggers, and her siblings: Burley, Bill, Lucy, and Melvin.

Edna was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains and camping with her husband and grandchildren. Edna also liked going to NASCAR races with her beloved friend Evelyn and her husband Delbert. She loved working in her yard and tending to her flowers.

Those left to cherish Edna's memory include her son, Bobby Eggers and his wife Patsy (special daughter-in-law), daughter, Belle Reeves, grandchildren: Brian Eggers and his wife Kim, Mark Reeves, and great-granddaughter, Savannah Eggers.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the entire staff at Four Oaks Health Care for the loving care provided to "Gran Gran" during her stay there.

The Eggers family will be greeting friends and sharing sweet memories on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services in Johnson City. Pastor James Ginley and Pastor Perry Cleek will be officiating Edna's celebration of life directly afterward. A graveside service will follow at Milsaps Cemetery in Vilas, NC. Brian Eggers, Mark Reeves, Farris Langford, Marty Estep, James Ginley, and Robert Jackson will serve as pallbearers.

Rose married Andrew Jackson "Jack" Eggers on 22 Feb 1946 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. Andrew (son of Linville Elax Eggers and Amanda Elizabeth Cornett) was born on 7 Aug 1924 in , Watauga County, North Carolina, North Carolina; died on 30 Dec 2001; was buried in Millsaps Cemetery, , Watauga County, North Carolina. JOHNSON CITY - Miss Anna Reeves, 71, of Johnson City, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, with her family by her side.

Anna was a loving mom, sister, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Edna Eggers, and special sister-in-law, Patsy Eggers. She is survived by her son, Mark, of the home, brother, Bobby Eggers, Jonesborough, and nephew, Brian Eggers and his wife, Kim. Per her wishes, there will be no services.
