    Notes:

    Allan Dean Gouge, 79, of Cary, N.C., died Sunday, October 7, 2018.
    Mr. Gouge was born and raised in Elizabethton, Tenn., a son of the late James Lawrence Sr. and Gladys Gouge. He was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and received a B.S. Degree from East Tennessee State University.
    Mr. Gouge enlisted in the United States Air Force and served active duty as a Navigator with one tour of duty in Vietnam. He also served in the USAF Reserve. He moved to Cary, N.C., upon his retirement from Norfolk Southern Railroad.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Lawrence Gouge Jr. and Carl Gouge, and sisters, Martha June Barbre and Sarah Beth Schaag.
    Survivors include his wife, Susan; son, Jon and his wife, Shelly; daughter, Cynthia; step-daughters, Barbara and Kim; grandsons, Landon, Evan and Stone; granddaughter, Hannah; step-grandsons, Kyle, Andrew, Ryan and Chris; sister, Betty Carr; brothers, Glen Gouge, Ronnie Gouge and Gary Gouge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    A graveside service will be held at a later date at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Mountain Home, Tenn.
