    Funeral services for W. H. Misamore, 87, who died at 5:30 A.M. Wednesday at his home on Chuckey river, will be held at 2 P.M. today at Liberty Church, with Dr. E. H. Yankee officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    Surviving are two sons, Brady of Johnson City and Fred of Limestone; six daughters, Mrs. Bertie Elliott (Ellis) of Elk Park, N. C.; Mrs. Betty Peterson of Polleyton, Ky., Mrs. Flora Chappell of Limestone, Mrs. Sadie (Dadie) Humphreys of Telford, Mrs. C. B. Caffie (Coffey) of Hickory, N. C. and Mrs. Rhoda Chappell of Chuckey; two sisters, Mrs. Marian Berry of Elk Park, N. C. and Mrs. Sara Ayers of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one brother, Henry Misamore of Elizabethton, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    Mrs. Mary Ann Perry Smith, 77, of Rominger Road, Banner Elk, NC died Thursday afternoon, August 9, 2018 at Life Care Center of Banner Elk, NC.

    Mrs. Smith, born in Avery County, NC; was the daughter of the late Thomas Hampton Perry and Belle Stewart Perry, and the widow of Lowell V. Smith. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Lee Perry and Thomas H. Perry.

    She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and a member of Matney-Liberty Church. She cared for and helped the neighbors in her community with their medical needs.

    She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Grace Smith of Banner Elk; a son, Gregory Smith of Banner Elk; a brother, Joe H. Perry and wife, Evanell of Banner Elk; a sister-in-law, Odleen Perry of Banner Elk and several nieces and nephews.

    Mary married Sgt. Lowell Vetter Smith about 1960 in North Carolina, , , .     Helen Berry, 91, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Hillview Health and Rehabilitation Center of Elizabethton. Helen was born in Carter County to the late Paul and June (Williams) Perry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Carl Thomas Berry; a sister, Louise Wilson; a brother, Dr. E.E. “Ed” Perry; and a son-in-law, Michael Williams.
    Helen was a kind hearted, devoted wife and mother with a good sense of humor. She was a housewife and a member of True Gospel Baptist Church. She loved attending church and being with family.
    Those left to cherish and remember Helen’s memory include three sons and one daughter, Rick and Diane Berry, Tonie Williams, Keith and Debbie Berry and James and Penny Berry; her grandchildren, Sara (Stephen) Wagner, Jessica (Phillip) Manning, Christen Williams and Dr. Amy (Matt) Gravitte; her great-grandchildren, McKenzie Storie, Lawson Wagner, Marley Wagner, and soon to arrive, Laurel Mae Gravitte; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Berry and Nancy Berry.
    A service to celebrate Helen’s life will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 17, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Pastor Dean Presnell officiating. Music will be under the direction of Johnny Palmer. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service.
    The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, November 18, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Rick Berry, James Berry, Phillip Manning, Keith Berry, Steven Wagner and Lawson Wagner. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of True Gospel Baptist Church.

    Helen married Carl Thomas Berry about 1948 in , Carter County, Tennessee, .
