    Mr. W. M. Tolley, age 84, died at his home Route 1, Hampton, Saturday morning at 2:40.
    Mr. Tolley was a life long resident of Carter County and a member of the Little Doe Church.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Laura Tolley; one daughter, Mrs. Kirk Simerly, of Hampton; one son, Steve, Baltimore, Md.; one brother, Charles Tolley, Hampton; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. from the Little Doe Church with Rev. Virgil DeLoach officiating, assisted by Rev. J. R. Cates.
    Burial will be made in the Simerly-Collins Cemetery.

    John A. Tolly, age 56, died at his home in Hampton, Tuesday morning at 4:45 after an illness of several months.
    Mr. Tolley[sic] was a native of Carter county and an employee of N.A.R. Corp. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist church.
    Survivors: wife, Mrs. Rosie Tolley; one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Davis; one son, Clyde Tolley; five grandchildren; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Tolley; one sister, Mrs. Bunie Simerly, all of Hampton; one brother, Steven J. Tolley, Baltimore, Md.
    The body will be removed from the Roy Hathaway Funeral Home to the home Tuesday afternoon at 5:00 o'clock.
    Funeral services will be conducted from the Little Doe Freewill Baptist church Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, with the Rev. George Westmoreland and Allan Cates officiating. Burial will be made in Simerly cemetery.

    ERWIN — Charles Ray Tolley, age 84, 345 Crosswhite Lane, Erwin, passed away November 20, 2005, at the Indian Path Regional Medical Center. Born in Mitchell County, NC, Ray was the son of the late Charles and Ida Bennett Tolley. He worked for 14 years at the former Southern Pottery then worked almost 24 years at Hoover Ball Roller. He was a member of the Southside Freewill Baptist Church. Besides his parents, Mr. Tolley is preceded in death by his wife, Maude Lovette Tolley, who passed away in 2001, two sons, Lonnie Tolley and Gerald Tolley and several brothers and sisters. Ray leaves behind his two daughters, Louise and husband, Howard Buchanan, Erwin, Shirley and husband, Kenneth Phillips, Erwin; two sons, Harold Tolley, Erwin, Keith and wife, Linda K. Tolley, Erwin; two daughters-in-law, Hazel Tolley, Erwin, Linda C. Tolley, Erwin; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including one special nephew, Ketron Couch. Funeral services for Mr. Tolley will be Monday, November 21, 2005, at Valley Funeral Home at seven o'clock. Brother Kevin Laws and Reverend Charlie Trivette will be officiating the service. Music will be under the direction of Queenie Wheeler. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service and at other times at 345 Crosswhite Lane. Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at three o'clock at Evergreen Cemetery.     The body of Pvt. Phillip Tolley, who was killed March 5, 1944, at Cape Gloucester, New Britain, arrived in Johnson City this morning.
    Pvt. Tolley was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Tolley of Hampton.
    He attended grammar school at Tiger Valley and high school at Hampton. He was employed at American Bemberg Corp. spinning room at the time he went into the Army. Pvt. Tolley entered service on Dec. 29, 1942, and took his training at Camp David and Fort Fisher, N.C. He was sent overseas September 1943, with the Hq. Batry, 469th Coast Artillery and was with the 469 until his death.
    Survivors are the parents; two brothers, Zeke and Raymond Tolley of Hampton; one sister, Ethel Tolley, Hampton; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Betty Holman, Roan Mountain.
    Funeral services will be conducted at the Little Doe Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. W. W. Bean officiating.
    Active pallbearers will be selected from the American Legion Post No. 49 and Capt. Lynn Folsom Post No. 2166 of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Full military honors will be rendered at the grave by these two posts.

Jack was a graduate of Hampton High School, East Tennessee State College and the University of Tennessee with a Masters Degree in Education. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a teacher and coach at Cloudland High School, a Counselor at Cloudland High School and served as Principal at Cloudland High School and was a Supervisor of Special Education in Carter County making a total of 45 years in the education field. He loved farming, gardening and loved people and outdoors. Jack was a member of Little Doe Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Sammie Whitehead Tolley, a granddaughter: Rachel Clawson, four brothers: Paul, Julius, Mack and Wade Tolley and three sisters: Leafie Street, Darla Hyder and Mahalie Hampton.

He was a US Army Veteran and had also worked at Brown’s Supermarket in Hampton for many years. He was a Master Gardner and loved to give things out of the garden away. In earlier years he attended Little Doe Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Shonette Cutlip Tolley who passed away July 24, 2016; by a granddaughter: Amber Shaw Calhoun; and also 10 brothers and sisters.

    Survivors include his children: Keith (Wendy Hill), Patty (Garry Smith), and Leon (Rebecca). His grandchildren: Tracy (Jeff) Guy, Mitchell (Maggie), R.J. and Ezra Tolley and Sarah Hill, His great-grandchildren: Lane and Timber Shaw and Jeffrey, River, and Rudy Guy, a loving sister: Shirl Davis and several nieces and nephews. He was blessed with more friends that can be named whom he loved dearly.

Cole and M.B. Hampton, and by three brothers and three sisters. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her son, Jeff Hampton, and her daughters, Jennifer Farrow, Jill Hampton and Joy Hampton. Jay was a retired employee of Holston Defense, who had worked there for 20 years. He was a member of the Tacoma Church of God and had served in the U.S. Navy, the Army Air Force and had retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years.

    Survivors include: his wife, Ethel Whitley Sells, of the home; a son, William A. Sells, of Umatilla, Florida; a daughter, Catherine Waldene Sells Sifford, of Telford; two sisters, Pauline Cox and Jewel Harlan, both of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Shane Sifford, of Jonesborough, and Brandy Sifford of Johnson City; two great grandchildren, Daniel Jay Sifford and Hannah Morgan Sifford, both of Jonesborough; several nieces and nephews.

    A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, December 23, 2006, at the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel at 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Rev. Wayne Absher and Rev. John Shriver.     Robert Clark, age 84, of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013, at Centerville Nursing and Rehab in Centerville.

    He was born September 7, 1928, in Hampton, Tennessee, to Arthur and Nola (Tolley) Clark.

    After graduating from high school in the spring of 1946, Robert enlisted in the United States Army. During his two year span with the Army, Robert was stationed in Vienna, Austria, where he ran a hotel for both officers and transits.

    He later enlisted in the Navy and was stationed in Norfork, Virginia and Olathe, Kansas. Robert was a cook and ran the NCO Club at the naval airbase in Olathe. At the end of his naval career, he was in charge of a galley with the USS Gearing DD710 medical fleet. Robert was medically discharged from the Navy in 1955. He served his country honorably for nearly a decade.

    Robert married Mary "Delores" Marchello on September 23, 1949, and to this union three children were born. He later married Sherry Blomgren on December 31, 1985, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Centerville.

    Following his military career, Robert moved to Centerville in 1955. It was during this time period that he began working part time with the postal service. His career eventually became full time during the mid- to late 1950s. Robert was appointed as the acting Centerville postmaster in 1968. He served the Centerville Community faithfully until his retirement from the post office in December of 1989.

    Robert was very active in numerous groups during his lifetime. He was an active member of the Jaycees. When he had returned from the Service in 1955, Robert and other farmers used their equipment to clean up and expand the Lelah Bradley Park in Centerville. He was also both a member and president of the Appanoose County Fair Board for several years. Robert was proud to be a member of NAPUS (National Association of Postmasters of United States). He was also a member of Mystic American Legion Post #340. Robert was proud to be a Shriner. During his time with the Shriners, he helped introduce the shriner's cars in the Pancake Day Parade in the early 1970s.

    Most importantly, Robert was a devout Christian. He was an active member of the Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene in Moravia, Iowa.

    He enjoyed numerous hobbies and passions. Robert loved traveling, including several trips to Alaska. During his time in Alaska he often enjoyed the Fiddle Festival in Fairbanks, as well as the Yukon Quest Dog Race. He also made many trips to Tennessee to visit both family and friends. He loved catering for people and was well known for striking up friendships wherever he went. Robert was also known for being an author in which he wrote numerous books on his family history.

    He is survived by his wife, Sherry Clark, of Centerville, Iowa; six children, Brad (Mary) Clark, Bruce (Cathy) Clark, Bryon (Margaret) Clark, Steve Bunch, Kevin Bunch and Michelle (Hugh) Scieszinski; fifteen grandchildren, Jenny (Jake) Bates, Seth (Megan) Clark, Michael (Molly) Clark, Megan (Colby) Law, Nathan Clark, Tasha (Terry) Schnathorst, Eric Clark, Gerald Clark, Stephan Bunch, Katie (Bryce) Oswalt, Whitney (PJ) Tedford, Susanne Scieszinski, Jacob Scieszinski, Mallory Scieszinski, and Jayden Scieszinski; eight great grandchildren, Narayan Funk-Clark, Calla and Annaliese Bates, Liam and Julia Clark, and Leah, Abi, Elayna Tedford; and a brother, Byrl (Kansas) Clark, of Hampton, Tennessee.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Mildred Delena and Arvil Clark.

    Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday morning, February 19, 2013, at the Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene, Moravia, Iowa, with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating.

    Friends may call from 1 PM until 8 PM Monday, February 18, 2013, with family there from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory in Centerville.

    Burial will be in the Felkner Cemetery, west of Centerville, with full military honors.

He was born on June 29, 1926, to the late Arthur and Nola Clark in Hampton, TN. Byrl was a proud US Navy Veteran during World War II. In 1944, he left high school at the age of 17 and voluntarily enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served as a Seaman on the USS Atlanta, which was the first American ship to bomb Japanese Homelands during WWII. Byrl was retired from North American Rayon (33 years) and East Tennessee State University (10 years). He and Kansas enjoyed many years of retirement traveling with family and friends. Also, he enjoyed tending to his cattle, gardens and his Clark Family Farm, while enjoying his many beloved dogs.

    He is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Carolyn; his daughter, Linda Abel (Larry Sr, his loving son-in-law); his son, Byrl Clark, Jr and his son Jeff Clark; his grandchildren, Larry Abel, Jr (Kim), Deanna Abel Johnson, Chris Clark, Joy Abel, Kelsey Johnson, Amanda Clark, Keaton Johnson, Jessica Clark Madden, Beckett Clark, Gabriella Clark and Baylen Clark; his stepchildren; Angel Wilson (Adam), BJ Payne, Michael Payne (April) and step grandchildren Maura Trice (Tim), Eddie Trice, Gabby Trice, Raymond Wilson, Makayla Payne, Madison Payne, Alyssa Payne, Lee Payne and Taylor Smith and several special nephews, nieces and cousins and a two very special friends who were like daughters; Judy Broyles and Judy Herrell Stocton.     Byrl was a proud member of Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church in Elizabethton, TN. He was honored and proud to be a member of his church. One of the many highlights of his year was the honor to carry the American flag during the Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day services at his church, where he will carry one last time during his Celebration of Life Service at Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church. Receiving of family and friends will be Sunday January 29 from 5:00-7:00pm with the service following at 7:00. The Graveside services will take place at Berry Cemetery in Simerly Creek on Monday, January 30 at 11:00am. The services will be officiated by Pastor Randy Johnson and Pastor Mark Potter. Music will be provided by Joy Abel, Rob Montgomery, Teresa McKinney, Jim Matheson, Jeff Snyder and church musicians.

    A.Z. "Bud" Tolley, 79, of Johnson City, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, surrounded by his loving friends and family at Franklin Woods Community Hospital.

    He was born on December 17, 1935 in Poplar, NC but spent most of his life in Johnson City. He was a son of the late Fred & Hassie Horton Tolley.

    Bud married Helen Marshall, the love of his life, and they spent many happy years together, until her death in 2009. They raised two children together. Helen gave Bud a little heart trinket while they were dating and he has carried that heart in his billfold for 50 years. This trinket will continue to be with him. They are now joined together in Heaven where they will spend forever in the presence of God.

    Bud and Helen built a church almost 35 years ago that they pastored together for many years. He was a steadfast leader for North Street Church of Jesus Christ in Johnson City. Bud was a pillar in our community and family. In everything he did, he was always thinking of others.

    Bud was also an accomplished Electrician and owned and worked for several different companies. He taught his son A.Z. the electric trade and they formed a business together. Bud also taught a lot of young men the electrical trade to give them an opportunity to have a trade. Upon his completion of electrical and refrigeration classes at the vocational school, he took a job at Wrights Supermarket where he worked for 20 years. During which he made many friends that have lasted a lifetime. He also worked for Acorn Electric and TEKA.

    He enjoyed helping people anyway he could and was known to volunteer for many different causes. Anyone who knew Bud was somehow touched by his life. He was hard-working and compassionate, a loving father & most important, he shined a light for Jesus that all could see. His life is a reflection of love and honor. Bud was one of a kind and will be forever missed by his friends and loved ones. He is finally Home, gathered around the Throne of God.

    In addition to his parents and his wife, Bud is preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Musick, Regina Little, Mildred Whitson and Michael Tolley, who sacrificed his life in the Vietnam conflict.

    Those left to cherish his memory include his memory include his son, A.Z. Tolley, Jr. and his wife Denise of Johnson City; his daughter, Debi Posadas Peters and her husband Ronnie of Johnson City; grandchildren, Shaunda Posadas Swartz and her husband Garrick, Heather Tolley Clark and her husband Adam, Renee Tolley, Shannon Peters and Shane Peters; great-grandchildren, Tristan Peters, Athena Bradley, Hunter Peters, Keller Clark, Cyrus Clark and Daniel Swartz; brothers, David Tolley and George-Kenneth Tolley; sister, Linda Light; and many nieces and nephews.

    A special thanks to Bud's sister, Linda Light who was there for him. They spent every Friday on the front porch just talking and taking in the sunshine. She took a great load from Bud by caring for his wife before her death. Bud had a special friend Robert Mitchell. They were very close and shared many days working, riding around or just talking. The family considered Robert a part of them.

    In addition, Bud shared a special connection with Jeff. He worked alongside Bud for many years and when they retired, they continued to be friends. Jeff helped Bud in a lot of building projects. He drove from N.C. to sit with Bud in the hospital to allow the family to attend church. The family appreciates this.

    Bud has two sisters-in-law, Mary Deal and Wanda Riddle and two brothers-in-law, Johnny Woodby and his wife Bonnie, and Ronnie Woodby and his wife Trudy who all loved Bud and they continued to look up to him as part of his family. Bud had the most wonderful neighbors, Ron and Brenda Coleman, who were always there for him. They shared many years either talking about their families or just sitting on the porch. Bud has a special friend, Pat Sheppard that he shared many a meal and a special friendship.

    The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Connie Pennington for her care and compassion shown to Bud and his family and for the wonderful care given by the ICU nurses at Franklin Woods Hospital.

    The family would like to thank anyone and everyone who may have passed by Bud's house, walked up on the porch and sat a spell.

    The family will receive friends and family to share memories from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at North Street Church of Jesus Christ, Johnson City.

    Other than her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Floyd and J. R. Couch; two sisters: Vada Ruth Williams and Verda Jane Couch.

    She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband of thirty-three years, Billy Jack Harrell; one daughter, Sally Chandler and husband, Gary Booher, Watauga; one brother, Ketron Couch, Erwin; one sister, Cathy Brawshaw, Piney Flats; brother-in-law, Bob Williams; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Arrowood, both of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews; her fur companion, Emma Rose.

    ELIZABETHTON - Roger Carver, age 78, of Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

    Roger was born in Elizabethton to the late Howard and Lorene Simerly Carver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Deadrick.

    Roger retired from Snap-On Tools and had previously driven a truck for Newton Transportation. He was a United States Army veteran and was a member of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church, where he was a former trustee of the church and was a member of the Adult Men's Sunday School class. Roger loved to tinker with his Jeeps, enjoyed cars, loved being in in the mountains and spending time with his family and friends.

    Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 56 years, Lois Carver, of the home; six nieces, Alice Marie Pendergast (Mike), of NC, Ann Taylor (Javy), of Elizabethton, Debbie Bishop, of Johnson City, Joyce Salyer (Roy), of Elizabethton, Lisa Pierce (Phil), of Kingsport, and Karen Southerland (Brian), of Nashville; one nephew, Michael Southerland (Joan), of Jacksonville, FL; one sister-in-law, Virginia Grindstaff, of Elizabethton; five brothers-in-law, Owen Grindstaff and wife Dee, John Lewis, Marvin Grindstaff, Bill Milhorn, and Byrd Deadrick and wife Ellen, all of Elizabethton. Several great nieces and nephews also survive, as well as two special friends, Harry B. Crowe and Bill Fritz.

    A service to honor the life of Roger Carver will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2018 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Eric Heaton, officiating. Music will be provided by Dale Williams and Joyce Salyer. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday.

Iva Lee enjoyed working in her flowers, her dogs Charlie & Molly and loved to travel. She was a member of Rittertown Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Luther Caldwell, her second husband: Gleason Malone, Sr., her son: Gleason Malone, Jr., two sisters: Jeanette Webb and Georgia Phillips and two brothers: Jay Banks and Harvey Banks.

    Douglas Carroll Tolley (Bubba), age 75, of Elizabethton, left his loved ones for his perfect life in Heaven on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from Hermitage Nursing Home. He no longer has any disabilities, no more pain! He is whole!

    Doug loved his family, his friends, his neighbors, watching westerns, riding his bicycle, his birthday, Christmas and eating out. Doug loved going to his church, Hunter First Baptist, where he was a member.

    Doug was born September 23rd, 1944 to Mary Cornett Tolley and the late Zeke Tolley, Sr. In addition to his dad, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Tolley; his grandparents, Dave and Julie Hilman Tolley and Frank and Myrtle Stevens Cornett.

    In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Billy Tolley, Sr, Dean (Louise) Tolley and Zeke (Charlene) Tolley, Jr.; his nieces, Toria Tolley, Tina Tolley McConnell, Diana Tolley Greenway, Tammy Tolley, Alison and Gretta Arnold; and his nephews, Gregory Tolley, Bily Tolley II, Tom McConnell, Bobby Tolley, Stephen Tolley and David Tolley; and eleven great nieces and nephews, also survive.

Adrian was born January 5, 1950 in Carter County to the late Raymond & Pauline Haldren Tolley. He was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. Adrian loved to attend his church where he was a member, Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. He loved Gospel Music, Model Cars, going to the Beach and spending time with his family.

    Roma Jean was a devoted wife, mother and nanny. She was a determined woman of faith and was a member of Valley Forge Christian Church. She enjoyed watching college basketball, especially Duke and cooking for her family.

    Those left to cherish her memory include three children, Debbie Bunton and husband Jimmy, Greg Mathes and wife Teresa and Brian Mathes and girlfriend Debbie Buckles all of Elizabethton; six grandchildren, April Fox and husband Mark of Vass, NC, J.P. Mathes and wife Leona of Elizabethton, Cody Bunton and wife Andrea of Jonesborough, Jeanna Brewer and husband Nathaniel of Gray, Kristin Mathes and Jagger Mathes both of Elizabethton and four great-grandchildren.     Robert retired from Highvalley Construction where he was employed as a Millwright. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and family man. Robert was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Megan Lee Musick; one brother, Danny Lee Musick and one sister, Tammy Musick Vanhoy.

    Robin had lived in Georgia for several years but was a native of Bristol, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Ringgold, Georgia High School. She was associated with her husband in the operation of The Hamptons Camp Ground. Robin and John Paul loved camping, fishing, the outdoors and their family. She attended Hampton Christian Church.

    Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, J.P. & Leona Mathes, Johnson City, his step-children, Justin Ryan & Wife Marsha Musselwhite, Acworth, Georgia and Jessica Renee Musselwhite, Nashville, Tennessee; his step-grandchildren, Ella Ruth & Jackson Ryan Musselwhite; his mother, Roma Jean Tolley Mathes, Elizabethton; sister & "brother-in-law", Debbie & Jimmy Bunton, Elizabethton; his brothers, Greg Mathes and wife Teresa and Brian Mathes and Debra Buckles all of Elizabethto; his mother-in-law, Porita Hickman Jones & husband David, Woodstock, Georgia; his father-in-law, James "Jim" Sells and wife Kim, Elizabethton; several nieces & nephews.

    Joint Funeral Services for John Paul & Robin will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the Hampton Elementary School Gymnasium with Mr. Dwayne Calhoun, Minister, Rev. Dave Whitesides and Rev. Adam Sells officiating. Music will be provided by Jerry White and Friends and J.P. & Leona Mathes.

    Active Pallbearers for Robin will be: Jamie Sells, Daltyn Sells, Paul Clark and Adam McBride. Active Pallbearers for John Paul will be: Shane Stockton, Tony Greene, Hank Jenkins, Eddie Joe Wilson, Cody Bunton, Mike "Red" Dugger, Johnny Blankenship, Rick McClain, Mick Mathis and Phil Hileman. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Adam McBride, Brian Mathes, Greg Mathes, Jimmy Bunton, Barry Mathis, Jamie Sells, Jagger Mathes and his many friends of Carter County.

    The families will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday in the Hampton Elementary School. Graveside Service for John Paul will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, in the Miller Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Friday to go to the cemetery. Robins request was to be cremated.

    ELIZABETHTON - Brian Keith Mathes, age 54, of Elizabethton, TN went to be with the Lord and family and friends who have passed before him on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was the son of the late Gene and Roma Jean Mathes. Brian was a graduate of Hampton High School and a member of Hampton Christian Church. He loved bass fishing, Nascar and bluegrass music. He was a brave and positive individual even when faced with a serious illness. Brian will be remembered as a kind hearted man and will be missed by many.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Paul Mathes and grandparents, John and Callie Mathes, Luther and Goldie Hall and Paul Tolley.

    Those left to cherish his memory are his brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Teresa Mathes; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Jimmy Bunton; nieces and nephews, JP and Leona Mathes, Cody and Andrea Bunton, Callie, Jagger Mathes and Malia, April and Mark Fox, Kristin and Clifton Birchfield and Magnolia, Jeanna and Nathaniel Brewer and Novalee and Stetson; girlfriend, Debbie Buckles and family; special friends, Sam and Dave Timbs and family, Alainya Hare and family, Lois Carver and Virginia Grindstaff and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

    A memorial service to celebrate the life of Brian will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 04, 2022 at Beck Mountain Baptist Church, 2797 Siam Rd, Elizabethton, TN 37643 with Reverend Ronnie Campbell and Mr. Dwayne Calhoun officiating. Music will be under the direction of JP and Leona Mathes. Honorary pallbearers are Houston Timbs, Sam Timbs, Dave Timbs, Kenny Timbs, Mark Timbs, Keith Rouse, Frank Childers, Cody Bunton, JP Mathes, Jagger Mathes, Mark Fox, Clifton Birchfield and Zackery Bates.
