20. | Richard S. Lowe ![]() Notes: Richard S. Lowe, died at his home in Johnson City on Tuesday, November 16, 2004, following an extended illness. He was a native of Mountain City, Tennessee, and had lived in Johnson City since 1960. He was the son of the late Richard S. Lowe Sr. and Cassie Ellen Lowe. He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He was an Air Force veteran who served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Lowe retired from Eastman Kodak Company after 32 years of service. He was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and trustee. He is survived by his wife, Christine Lowe, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law: Richard Todd Lowe and wife, Daisy, and their twin daughters, Zoe Grace and Kate Ellen, of Hong Kong; Terry Lowe and wife, Renee, and their sons, Austin Blake and Evan Patrick, of Gray; one sister, Betty Durnan, Delaware; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be brothers-in-law, nephews, and deacons of Sinking Creek Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Sluder, Fred Addison, Marvin McKinney, Carroll Billheimer, Bill Roberson, Lester Arnold, Bill Brookshire, Randal Pierce, Danny Ray Miller, Wilson Terry, Mickey Leonard, Frank Lawrence, Jim Brogdon, teammates in the Pro-Am Golf League, friends at the McDonald’s club and friends and neighbors in Garland Farms. A celebration of life services for Mr. Lowe will be conducted at Sinking Creek Baptist Church, Thursday, November 18, 2004, at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Reece Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Washington County Memory Gardens at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2004. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. |

30. | Delmer Haynes Lowe ![]() Notes: JOHNSON CITY- Mr. Delmer William Lowe, 80, of 1825 W. Lakeview Dr., went home to be with the Lord,on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at his home. A native of Washington County, he was the son of the late George and Annie Blevins Lowe. Delmer was a U.S. Army veteran, 82 Airborne, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Rural Carrier. He was a Mason with the Jonesborough Lodge. Mr. Lowe was a lifelong Christian, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Baby Girl Lowe, his great grandson, Luke Smalling; six brothers, James, Lonza, Dan, Eugene, Roby, and Selmer Lowe; three sisters, Ethel Sheets, Thelma Crocetta, and Bessie Peters. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Roberta Crowe Lowe, of the home; son, George Lowe of Mulberry, FL; two daughters, Teresa Lowe Smalling and husband Tom of Johnson City and Barbara Lowe Tucker and husband Jerry of Gray; sisters Georgia Morgan and Yvonne Arnet both of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Duane and Scott Smalling, Chasity Ferrando, Wes Tucker, and Lindsey Jessen; 15 great grandchildren, and several special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, July 29, 2011, from 6-8pm, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Services will be held, 8pm, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, South Chapel. Burial will be held, Saturday, 10am, at Monte Vista Memorial Gardens. .Brother Roy Tucker and Chaplain Victor Tucker will be officiating. The organist will be Lynda Tucker and soloist will be Jennifer Tucker. Duane Smalling, Scott Smalling, Zach Smalling, Wes Tucker, Michael Jessen, and Dennis Ferrando and nieces, Jake, Maddox, Cameron, Abby, Becca, Grayson, Hayden, Austin, Blake, Christain, Kathy Morgan, and Sherry Carden. Delmer married Annie Lillian Estep on 14 Jun 1949 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. Annie (daughter of Wilburn J. Estep and Golda D.
