Vanema M. Tester, age 94, went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday February 12, 2004 at her residence.
She was born in Flag Pond, TN a daughter to the late Thomas and Dyca Blankenship Tilson.
She had made her home in Bristol most of her life after moving from Limestone, TN and was a former employee of Gordon Garments. She attended the Revival Center Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elgin D. Tester, a son Larry E. Tester, a great granddaughter and 10 Brothers and Sisters.
Survivors include:
Daughters - Ruth Barker and husband Lewis, Thelma Canter, Dyca Rachel and husband Bobby all of Bristol, VA and Linda Sue Harlow and husband Gary of Blountville, TN
Sons - Robert D. (Bobby) Tester and wife Betty of Bristol, TN
Raymond Tester and wife Patsy, Tommy Tester and wife Linda, and Johnny Tester and wife Sandy all of Bristol, VA

Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 14, 2004 at 2 pm at the Revival Center Baptist Church on Benhams Road in Bristol, VA with Rev. Lyons Smith, and her sons Rev. Tommy Tester, Bro. John Tester, and Rev. Roger Ball officiating.
Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Veneva married Elmer G. Tester about 1934. Elmer was born about 1908; died in Washington County, , , Virginia; was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, , Bristol, Virginia. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
