Joe Trivett, age 95, died Monday, December 2, at McKinley Memorial hospital where he had been a patient for several weeks.

Funeral services will be at graveside, Locust Grove cemetery at 9:30 am Thursday.

Trivett had pioneered in the region back of Brewster Flat when he was a young man, had been living alone in Brewster for many years. The Herald Report was unable to learn much about Trivett except for an interview with him a year ago. He then told the paper that when he got tired of living in Brewster he would go home to North Carolina to died. He was unable to fulfill the dream.

Trivett is survived by a son, David, Salt Lake City; another son, George, Bellingham; a son Earl, Elizabethton, Tenn; and a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Patrick.

Joseph married Eleanor Elizabeth Hopkins about 1884 in Ashe County, , , North Carolina. Eleanor was born on 1 Dec 1866; died on 23 Oct 1890 in Ashe County, , , North Carolina; was buried in George West Green Cemetery, , Ashe County, North Carolina. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
