    Mary was born in Fordtown and was a lifelong resident of Washington County. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Cleo Isenburg Ford

    Mary was a member of Grandview Christian Church. She was very involved in church. Mary attended Church and Community Sunday School Class, was a member of Friendship Circle, volunteered at Two4Two ministry, and served in the Nursery Ministry for over 40 years. She was a volunteer at the Senior Center where she was also a member of The Musical Voices. Mary was a homemaker and had a servant's heart. She took care of and raised her children, grand-children, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Mary also enjoyed working at Honey Baked Ham as a holiday employee.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas E. Collins, brothers, Blaine Ford, Hollace Ford, Jake Ford, Abijah Ford, sisters, Phyllis Smith and Barbara Bare.

    Mary is survived by her three daughters, Kathy Saylor and husband Ken, Karen Corpening and husband Darrell, Carol Garrison and husband Stephen; grandchildren, Kim Corpening of Charlotte, NC, Kelly Mustain and husband Matt of Panama City Beach, FL, Thomas Garrison and wife Ericha, Alex Garrison, Dusty Saylor and wife Michaela; great grandchildren, Ryan Dooley, Will Mustain, Gretchen Dooley, Evie Mustain, Maisy Garrison, Jack Garrison, Annie Garrison; brothers, Kenneth Ray Ford and wife Bertha, Dale Ford and wife Joyce, Dennis Ford and wife Joan, Mike Ford and wife Jan; sisters, Donna Pruitt and husband David, June Gibson and husband Tim; two special sisters-in-law, Evelyn Ford and Jewell Collins.

    The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at 7:30 P.M. in the sanctuary of Grandview Christian Church, 300 University Parkway Johnson City, TN 37604, with Aaron Wymer, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 P.M. till the service hour in the sanctuary.

    The graveside committal service will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 9:00 A.M. in Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bob Hall Jr., Steve Wright, Darrell Corpening, Stephen Garrison, Ken Saylor, Thomas Garrison, Alex Garrison, Logan Wright, Ryan Dooley, Will Mustain, and Dusty Saylor.

    Rev. Ford was born in Washington County on October 14, 1934 and son of the late Thomas Nelson "Boots" & Cleo Catherine Ford. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Ford, two brothers, Blaine Ford and Abijah Ford and two sisters, Phyllis Smith and Barbara Bare.

    He had served as Pastor at Hawthorne Church of the Brethren for 33 years. He was a very compassionate husband, father, brother and minister.

    Rev. Ford retired from Kennametal Corporation and as a minister of the Church of the Brethren.
    He was a United States Army Veteran having served in Germany and France.

    SULPHUR SPRINGS - Mike “Boots” Ford, 69, of the Sulphur Springs Community, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 27, 2021, following a brief illness.
    Mike was born and raised in Washington County, Tennessee, and graduated from Sulphur Springs school in 1971. Mike recently retired from Washington County Sheriffs Department after 27 years as the Lead of the Food Service Department. He was a proud member of New Hope Brethren Church.
    Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Cleo Ford, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
    Survivors include his wife and soulmate of the home, Jan, his beloved son, Mike Hawkins and his wife Julie, the two lights of his life, grandson Caleb and granddaughter Izzy, brothers, Ray Ford and his wife Bertha, Dale Ford and his wife Joyce, Dennis Ford and his wife Joan, sisters, Donna Pruitt and her husband David, June Gibson and her husband Tim, numerous nieces and nephews and countless extended family.
    Mike proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for 8 years, where he learned the tools of his trade, cooking. He was currently serving his 3rd term as Washington County Commissioner serving on numerous committees. He was a member of the Sinking Creek Masonic Lodge, the Arcania Eastern Star Lodge, the Blue Knights International Motorcycle Club, and was a member of the Washington County Cattleman’s Association. He served on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Constable Association and was a member of the Hales Chapel and Leesburg Ruritan. He was currently the president of the Tri-State Antique Power Association and belonged to several Antique Car clubs. Mike was also currently serving his 27th year as the oldest member of the Washington County Reserve Deputy Program. He sang and played bass for many gospel groups over the years which he enjoyed greatly. His unyielding Christian morals made him the strong force in his family and what he displayed to his family and friends.
    The family will receive friends at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home on Friday, December 31, 2021, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and again on Saturday, January 1, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will follow Saturday’s visitation and will begin at 7:00 PM. A private burial will be performed on Mike’s beloved family farm.
    Pastor John H. Moore will be officiating.

    Born in Sullivan County Mrs. Graybeal was a resident of Gray and a member of Johnson City Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all.

    Preceded in death by her husband Bobby Joe Graybeal -1995; parents John and Ada Ford; sister, Betty Lou Fair; brothers, Johnny Eugene Ford and Larry Richard Ford.

    Surviving include her sons, Jerry L. Graybeal and wife Patti of Jonesborough; Terry A. Graybeal of Jonesborough; daughter Tonya G. Jackson and husband Stan of Murfreesboro; sister, Nila Ruth Letterman of Jonesborough; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

    All services will be private.

    The family would like to extend a special thank you for the love and care given during this time to Dr. Manginelli, and the staff and nurses of Wellmont Hospice Ballad and an extra special thank you to Amanda Fraysier for all the love and care over the past four years of our sweet Rosey.
