    STARLING RHYMER
    Starling Rhymer, age 66, died at his home, route 3, Butler, Tuesday morning at 4:40 after an illness of a year. He was a native of Carter county and a member of the Cobbs Creek Baptist church.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Nora Rhymer; one daughter, Mrs. R. H. McCloud; five grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Sam Payne of Bristol; Mrs. Bob Feathers of Johnson City; Mrs. Rhoda Caldwell of Butler; Mrs. Nellie Byers of Virginia.
    Funeral services will be conducted from the Cobbs Creek church Thursday afternoon at two o'clock with the pastor of the church in charge. Burial will be made in the Butler cemetery.
    Active pallbearers and flower bearers will be selected from friends attending the funeral.

    Lloyd Randall 'Tudy' McCloud, age 68, of Butler, Tennessee, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on August 16, 1949, to the late Newton and Chelsea McCloud. In addition to his parents, Tudy was preceded in death by his sister, Reatha Lee.

    He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of Piercetown Baptist Church.

    Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 46 years, Janice McCloud; sons: Travis McCloud and wife Michele and Starling McCloud; sisters: Jean Trivette, Dorothy Martin and Joyce Doherty; brother, Bud McCloud; grandchildren: Tanya McCloud, Dalton McCloud, Skyler McCloud; step grandchild, Brandy Campbell; great grandchild, Serinity Harper; mother-in-law, Mae Pierce Blevins; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Eddie Perry; several nieces and nephews.

    A celebration of life service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastor Harvey White officiating. Military honors will follow and will be conducted by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Rainbolt, Darin Isaacs, David Griffey, Earl Burchett, Johnny Campbell, Jack Pierce, Scott Forrester, Scott Robinson and many, many more. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. prior to the service.
