    Mrs. Nancy Victoria Potter, 73, died at 7:45 o'clock Friday night at her home near Webb's store in Sullivan county, after a long illness (14 Jul)
    Survivng are five sons, Edward Potter, Clarksville, Ohio, Wiley Potter, Cincinnati, Ohio, Roy Potter, Praise, Ky., and Stacy and Clyde Potter, Bluff City, and six daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Dowell, Mrsl Stella Johnson, and Mrs. Nessie Craig of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Pearl NIchols, Knoxville, Tenn., Mrs. Hessie Rosenbaum, Bluff City, and Mrs. Carolee Swift, Cain River, N. C.
    Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the residence, in charge of the Rev. John Buchanan, burial to follow at Shouns, Tenn. The body was removed to teh residence last evening from the Bluff City Funeral Home.

    Earl William Dunn, age 87, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. He was born on September 6, 1930 to the late George Washington Dunn and Stella Mae Riddle Dunn. In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Sexton; brothers: George Washington 'June' Dunn, Orville Dunn and Paul Dunn; special nephew, Bob Sexton.

    Earl was a United States Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. Most people knew him from his recycling business, which he worked in for about sixty years. He enjoyed his work and really enjoyed being with people and talking. He also was a member of the 'Hardee's Breakfast Crew' and enjoyed his mornings there every day. Earl was a kind and generous person and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. He was of Pentecostal faith and the best part of his life was when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.

    Those left to cherish his memories include his sister, Betty Phillips; special nieces, Kathy Hill and husband Joe, Ann Largent and husband Lawrence and Trula Shepherd and husband Lonnie; several more special nieces and nephews; special friends, Larry Dunn and Landon Reece; his special friend that came and sang to him, Johnny Jones.

    Graveside service and interment with military honors conducted by the Johnson County Honor Guard will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor James Gentry officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

    Betty Phillips, age 85, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Mountain City Care Center. She was born on October 17, 1934 to the late George Dunn and Stella Riddle Dunn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Edith Sexton; brothers, Orville Dunn, Paul Dunn, George Dunn Jr., Earl Dunn, and grandson, Zach Hill.

    Betty loved the Lord and was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She loved her family and never met a stranger.

    Those left to cherish her memories include special friend, Joe Giroso,; son, Junior Phillips; daughters, Kathy Hill and husband Joe, Ann Largent and husband Lawrence; special granddaughter that was raised as her daughter, Breionna Blevins; special niece, Trula Shepherd and husband Lonnie; grandchildren, Tim Gentry, Lawrence Largent Jr.; great grandchildren, Brayden Largent, Dennis Blevins, Faith Blevins, Pipper Blevins; special friend and buddy, Voreda Gentry, and several nieces and nephews.
