    Julia J. McKeehan, 81, of Rt. 4, Elizabethton, died at her home at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday following an extended illness.
    Miss McKeehan was a native of Carter county and a daughter of the late John M. and Almeda Barrier McKeehan. She was a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church.
    Survivors are seven nieces: Miss Wilma McKeehan, with whom she made her home' Mrs. Wanda Adams, Mrs. Maxine Little and Mrs. Mildred Rhea, all of Elizabethton,; Mrs. Dorothy Clement, Cheyenne, Who.; Miss Leota Brummitt and Miss Evelyn Brummitt, both of Rt. 2, Johnson City; three nephews: Roy L. McKeehan, Bristol, Va.; Wayne Livingston, Unicoi, and Ralph Livingston, Elizabethton.
    Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
    McKEEHAN--Funeral services for Julia J. McKeehan, 81, of Rt. 4, Elizabethton, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Douglas Hardin, Minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mrs. Georgia Cox, organist, and Lewis Garrison, soloist. Burial will be in Happy Valley Memorial Park.
    Active pallbearers: Jimmy Livingston, Bobby Livingston, Danny Little, Lynn Adams, Gary Rhea and Kenneth Sharett. Flowerbearers will be friends and neighbors.
    The body will remain in the funeral home chapel where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Friends may call at the chapel and at the home anytime.

    Notes:

    Ora McKeehan, 59, Route 4, Elizabethton, died at midnight Wednesday in Carter County Memorial Hospital. His death was attributed to a heart attack. He was a native and lifelong resident of Carter county and the son of the late John and Almeta Barrier McKeehan.
    Mr. McKeehan was a carpenter.
    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Simerly McKeehan; three daughters, Mrs. Thurman Adams and Mrs. Carl Little, both of Route 7, and Mrs. James W. Clement, Japan; two sisters, Julia McKeehan, Route 4, and Mrs. Myrtle Brumit, Route 2, Johnson City; and six grandchildren.
    Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending the arrival of relatives. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Funeral services for Ora McKeehan will be conducted from the chapel of the Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Saturday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Earl Berry and the Rev. B.S. Rhea, Jr., officiating.
    Active pallbearers, Roy L. McKeehan, Wayne Livingston, Ralph Livingston, Anderson Lyons, Howard Hyder, Rowe Grindstaff, Haynes McKeehan, Woodrow Rhea.
    Flower bearers will be friends and neighbors. Music in charge of Mrs. Howard Estep.
    The body was returned to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thurman Adams, Route 7, Elizabethton and will be removed to the funeral home chapel Saturday at 12 noon to await the service hour. Burial will be made in Happy Valley Memorial Park.

    Ora married Mildred F. Simerly on 29 Nov 1920 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Mildred (daughter of John J. Henry Simerly and Alice Smith) was born on 2 Apr 1905 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 24 Jun 1992 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Happy Valley Memorial Park, , Carter County, Tennessee.     She was the daughter of Ora McKeehan and Mildred Simerly of Elizabethton, TN. After graduating from ETSU, she married James W. Clement. They traveled and lived in numerous states and countries while Jim was a pilot in the US Air Force until his death in 1970 in Vietnam. She taught at St. Mary's High School and Central High School in Cheyenne, WY. After her youngest son graduated from high school, a love of travel and meeting people led her to join the Department of Defense, where she had teaching assignments in both the Atlantic and Pacific regions. Devoted to the pursuit of knowledge and education, she formed lifelong bonds and kept in contact with many of her students. She moved to Johnson City in 1995, where she was a member of St. Mary's Church and a volunteer at St. Mary's School.

    Preceding her in death were her husband, mother, father, two sisters, Wanda Adams and Maxine Little; a brother, Tommy McKeehan, who was killed in the invasion of Normandy; and her protector, Thomas H. Lane.

    She is survived by five children, J. Michael Clement (Alice), Parker, CO; Dr. Mark Clement, Boston, MA; Lt. Col. Jeffrey H. Clement, ANG, Retired (Kim), Austin, TX; Jana Flynn (Ray), Johnson City, TN; Dr. John Clement, Greeneville, TN; grandchildren, Ryan Clement (Ann), Matthew Clement, Kelin Clement, Mara Clement, Mattson Clement, Kaley Clement, Kendall Phillippi (Josh), Kaitlin Clement, MacKenzie Clement, Kaden Clement, Kennedy Clement, Kiera Flynn Epstein (Michael), Patrick Flynn, Katherine Flynn; great grandchildren: Lane Clement, Holly Clement, Caralie Clement; her dear cousin, Wilma McKeehan; nephew and niece, Danny Little (Debbie), Judy Little; great nieces and nephews, Melissa Adams, Kevin Adams, Jennifer Hicks (Brian), Alan Little (Tracy); and her longtime friend and traveling companion, Charles Ailsworth.

    The family will receive friends at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Johnson City, TN on Saturday, October 3, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass, conducted by Fr. Randy Stice, will follow at 1:00 p.m.

    She will be buried with her beloved husband, Jim, at Arlington National Cemetery.
