    Mr. Lovelace was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Thomas and Carrie Russell Lovelace. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lovelace, November 23, 1998; two sisters, Juanita Lovelace and Pearl Hardin; two brothers, Harold and Noah Lovelace.

    Mr. Lovelace was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation.

    Survivors include a daughter, Pat Colbaugh of Elizabethton; sister, Pauline Lewis of Deltona, FL; six brothers, John, Allen and Ed Lovelace, all of Elizabethton, Clinton Lovelace of Johnson City, Glen Lovelace of Detroit, Mich., and Thomas Lovelace of Hampton; granddaughter, Karla (Larry) Bowers of Sevierville; grandson, Robert Colbaugh of Elizabethton; and a great-grandson, Matthew Bowers of Sevierville; and many nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. Interment will be in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery in Elizabethton.

    Pallbearers will be selected from his nephews.

    ELIZABETHTON — Maynard Gale "Speck" Lovelace, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 27, 2016, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

    He was a retired payroll supervisor from North American Rayon Corporation after 37 years of service. He loved to play golf, sing gospel hymns, and spend time with his grandchildren. He was long-time member of Beck Mountain Baptist Church where he was the Men's Class Sunday School teacher, a member of the choir, and served as a Trustee and Choir Leader. He previously served as a board member for Happy Valley Credit Union.

    He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Valarie Suzette Lovelace; his parents, Harold and Pauline Lovelace; and a sister, Charlene Harmon Houstma.

    Survivors include his wife of 55 years and his principal caregiver, Emily Lovelace; his son, Wesley Lovelace and wife Tracy of Southside, Alabama; his daughter, Cindy Cox and husband Sid of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Chelsie Cox, Courtney Cox Winters and husband Martin, of Elizabethton; Austin Lovelace and Hayley Lovelace of Southside, Alabama; brothers, Charles Lovelace, Terry Lovelace and Randy Lovelace; sisters, Doris Colbaugh, Wilma Colbaugh and Paula Berry; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful, four legged companion, Marlie "Poo Dog".

    The family will receive friends during a graveside remembrance service to be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton, with Pastor Ronnie Campbell officiating. A procession to the graveside services will begin at 3:15 PM from Tetrick Funeral Home Riverside Chapel, Elizabethton. Friends may also call or visit at other times at the home in Elizabethton.     Charles was a man who loved the Lord and loved his family. Charles worked as a welder; but more importantly, he was the pastor of Feathers Chapel in Blountville, Tenn., for many years. Charles enjoyed the outdoors and he was a huge lover of dogs. He has left a legacy that will continue to live on through the lives of his loved ones and friends.
    Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and his cherished wife, Pat Lovelace.

    A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Harold and Carrie Pauline Pierce Lovelace. He was a 1972 graduate of Hampton High School.
    Razzo was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Mail Carrier. He was of the Baptist Faith.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Colbaugh, Charlene Harmon and Wilma Colbaugh, and two brothers, Charles “Doodle” Lovelace and Maynard Gale “Speck” Lovelace.

She loved being with her church family and reading the bible.

    JOHNSON CITY - Benny Allen Lovelace, age 66, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Lovelace was the son of the late Clinton Ray and Elsie Lee Campbell Lovelace. In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Lovelace, and a nephew, Adam Culbert. He was of the Baptist faith.

    Benny was a fun loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a kind hearted and loving man who never held a grudge against anyone. His passions in life were many, but none were as important to him as his family. Benny was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Shirley Lovelace, and was a wonderful father and grandfather. Mr. Lovelace was the owner of Cherokee Metals, and prior to that was a former employee of Allied Metals. He loved working on cars and watching NASCAR, and had also found great enjoyment in deer hunting. He had a true love for bass fishing and was a member of several fishing clubs. Most knew him as a jokester who loved to tease his friends.

    In addition to his wife, Benny is survived by a son, Jimmy Allen Lovelace and his wife, Ashley, and their daughter, Ryleigh, of Johnson City; four daughters: Laura Rutherford and her husband, Joseph, and their children, Joseph, Jr., Kristina-Marie, Michael, and Sean, of Norton, OH, Kim Oliver and her husband, David, and their children, Jordan, Kayli, and Koby, of Springfield, TN, Sherry Arnett and her husband, Josh, and their daughter, Addison, of Warner Robins, GA, and Tracy McGuire and her husband, Todd, and their children, Camden, Cayden, and Colten, of Jonesborough. Survivors also include 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim Lovelace, Jonesborough; a sister, Paula Richards, Johnson City; his uncle, J.C. Campbell and his wife, Jeanette, Roan Mountain; his step-mother, Thelma Lovelace, Johnson City; a special sister-in-law, Sheila Culbert and Kevin Shaw, Jonesborough; a brother-in-law, John Elrod, Johnson City; nieces, Amy Elrod, Autumn Carter, Elizabeth Lovelace, and Karen Jo Matherly; nephews, Zach and Clint Lovelace; great-niece and great-nephew, Haley and Isaiah Elrod; and his loving companions, his dogs, Corben and Chloe.

    Edward Lon Lovelace Jr., 64, of Gray, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at the Heart Hospital at Johnson City Medical Center after complications from an extended illness.
    Mr. Lovelace was a native of Carter County. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lovelace Sr., and his mother, Mary "Madge" Dickenson Lovelace of Elizabethton, and a brother-in-law, Harry Carr, of Hampton.
    He is survived by his wife, Sharon Lovelace, of the home; a daughter, April Lovelace and long-term boyfriend, Darrell Gosnell, of Flag Pond; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Tara Franklin, of Kingsport; two grandsons, Trever and Taylor Hamilton; a granddaughter, Olivia Pugh; and two sisters, Brenda and husband Larry Peters Sr., of Stoney Creek, and Pamela Carr, of Hampton. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and special "fur children," Lilly and Baby Cat, also survive.
    Edward served his country in the Army as a Military Policeman. He worked for 20 years at Fort Henry Mall as a security guard and finally as Chief of Operations and Security, before leaving. He worked several other security jobs including armed security, Target, First Tennessee Bank, Johnson City Juvenile Detention Center and Holston Valley Hospital before becoming disabled and having to retire in 2014. He was also a Security Trainer throughout his career.
    Mr. Lovelace had a love of music and guitar, teaching himself how to play. He was a great lover and advocate of animals. Edward had a passion for cooking, gardening, riding motorcycles and fishing. He was also a member and supporter of the Lions Club for many years.
    The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Heart Hospital at Johnson City Medical Center for the care and compassion they have shown through this difficult time. Zane was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and was a friend to everyone. Zane was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and retired from the Johnson City Police Department after twenty-eight and ½ years of service. He also served as Chairman of the Carter County Republican Party and as a Carter County Commissioner. Zane was a member of Zion Baptist Church of Elizabethton and was a member of the Johnson City Elks Lodge.

    He was a native of Elizabethton, TN and was the son of the late Stacy and Ossie Loveless. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Loveless and Kay Vance and a brother, Tommy Loveless. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of forty-four years, Patty Radford Loveless, of the home; two daughters, Becky Loveless and Cassandra Vaughan and her husband Josh; a son, Nicholas Loveless, all of Elizabethton, TN; four grandchildren, Autumn Surcey and husband Tim, Jonathan McAllister, Nicholas Loveless and Carl Loveless and two great-grandchildren, Bentley Surcey and Jordan Surcey.     A service to honor the life of Mr. Timothy Zane (Candy Man) Loveless will be conducted at 7:00 P.M.     GILBERT, SC - Chrisley Jay Loveless, 66, of Gilbert, SC on January 7, 2023 surrounded by his family at home. Chris was born and grew up in Elizabethton, TN. After graduating from Happy Valley High School in 1974, he worked for several manufacturing and retail stores in management. More importantly to him, Chris (Jay to his people in Elizabethton) began to work with several bands in Johnson City, TN before joining the band Hickory Switch and traveling around the west. It was there that he met the love of his life Mary on August 5, 1985. The two were engaged in August 23, 1985 and Chris married Mary and her 2 children on November 9, 1985. The next 4 years welcomed 2 more children in 1986 and 1989 and a move to Gilbert, SC in 1991 where they raised their family.

    Chris is preceded in death by his mother Tempie D. Loveless, and 2 brothers Leonard Clay and Emmert Ray Loveless. He is survived by his wife Mary, his daughter Anita Shelek (Todd) in Wheeling, WV, his son Danny Jumer (Norma) in Gilbert, SC, his daughter Aubrey Vaughn in Columbia, SC, and his son Forrest Loveless in Gilbert, SC; two sisters, Evelyn Stroud, of Statesville, NC, Gaye Loveless, of Elizabethton, TN; two sister's-in-law, Brenda Loveless, of Elizabethton, TN and Linda Loveless, of WY; along with 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild on the way and many beloved nieces and nephews.

    Chris was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt the deserved. His family was his whole world.

    The family will have a service to honor the life of Chrisley “Jay” Loveless on Saturday January 14th, 2023 at 1 pm with Pastor Charles Swann officiating and Aubrey Vaughn will be presenting the eulogy. They will receive friends from 12-1 pm prior to the service. The graveside service will follow at Loveless-Woodby family cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Stroud, Thomas Norris, Dalton Norris, Frances Bell, Tony Deloach, Ricky Woodby, and Kaiden Loveless with Aubrey Vaughn serving as an honorary pallbearer.

    JOHNSON CITY - Judy Ann McKeehan Lane, 69, Johnson City passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 in the Johnson City Medical Center.

    A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late James & Cozette Loveless McKeehan. She was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. She was retired as a receiving manager at Wal-Mart, Johnson City after 27 years of service. Prior to that she was a beautician. Judy was a member of Zion Baptist Church but attended Little Mountain Baptist Church.

    Survivors include her husband of 52 years: Larry Lane. A Son & Daughter-in-Law: Chad & Courteney Lane, Johnson City. Several Aunts & Uncles. Her sister-in-law: Doris Jenkins, brother-in-law: Paul Lane.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Larry Montgomery and Rev. Paul Lane officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Monday, will be: Lester Brumit, Travis Brumit, Ricky Woodby, Jr., Greg Gouge, Andrew McKeehan and Steve Franklin. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Luther McKeehan, Richard Loveless, Ray Loveless, Ricky Woodby, Sr., and Randall Babb.

    JOHNSON CITY - Rondal (Ron) Clay Lovelace, 78, passed away at his home in Johnson City, TN on May 23, 2021 following an extended illness. He was born to the late Arnold B. Lovelace and Evelyn Hyder Lovelace Byrd on August 30, 1942 in Carter County, TN.

    He had no blood born siblings, but a host of brothers and sisters in Siam where he grew up. His best and long-time friend since they were 4 years old, Ted Hamilton died last summer.

    Ron was a Polio survivor. He graduated from Elizabethton High School in 1960. He was an American Patriot with hopes of getting an Army commission after firing in ROTC at ETSU for 3 years. But during his last physical at Ft. Benning, GA, the effects of Polio showed up, causing the loss of that dream. He had been #1 in his class for marksmanship. Ron worked with the Carter Co. Youth Civil Air Patrol in the early 1960s. He loved working with the Boy Scouts Troup #220 teaching emergency preparedness.

    Ron was the Science Hill Band Booster President several times in the late seventies to late eighties. He was always where his children were.

    He was an Adult Sunday School teacher at Snow Memorial and filled in as Trustee of the church. Now a member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church. Ron was a Mason, past Johnson City Lodge and Unicoi Lodge. He was a machine designer, retiring on disability from Texas Instruments in 1992 after post Polio Syndrome took over his body in 1987.

    Ron is predeceased by his parents, daughter, Ronda Michelle Lovelace, stepfather, Ralph Byrd, brothers-in-law Ralph Saylor and Earl Saylor.

    Ron was married to the love of his life, and high school sweetheart for 58 years, 8 months, Elizabeth Ann Saylor Lovelace. He has left to cherish his memory a son, David Lovelace and wife, Karen, daughters, Rebecca Ann Lovelace and Rachel Michelle Lovelace, grandchildren, Ryan Lovelace and wife Jenifer, Megan Lovelace Hall and husband Adrian, Olivia Faith Lovelace and three great- grandchildren, Louella, Elijah and Hudson, Special niece, Elizabeth (Beth) T. Saylor of Seattle WA. whom he thought of as a daughter, special cousins, Pauletta Pierce (Lawrence), Sue Arp (Ron).

    In lieu of flowers please remember a charity of your choice or the Shriners Children’s Hospital.

    A visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 5:00- 7:00PM in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, a memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jody Jenkins and Pastor John Herdman, officiating. An inurnment service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:00 at Happy Valley Memorial Park.

    Big Stone Gap, VA, Timothy Wayne Lovelace, 51, passed away on Sunday (Dec. 24, 2017) at Lonesome Pine Hospital.
    He was born in Elizabethton, Tenn. and lived most of his adult life in Big Stone Gap. He proudly served as a Petroleum Supply Specialist with the 101st Airborne Division of the U. S. Army. He was of Baptist faith.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Thomas “Charlie” Lovelace and Patricia Ann (Howington) Lovelace.
    Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Tracie Wheatley Lovelace; three daughters, Karlee Lovelace, Kaylee Lovelace and Meghan Lovelace, all of the home; three brothers, Charles T. “Chuck” Lovelace, Christopher “Chris” Lovelace and Robert Lovelace, all of Kingsport, TN; two sisters, Triscilla Hill (Tony) of Lexington, N. C. and Trina Lovelace-Golden (Michael) of Lake Jackson, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
    Military Graveside Rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans Administration Cemetery at Mountain Home, Tenn. with local American Legion Honor Guard from Kingsport, Tenn. and Gate City, Va.
