    Mrs. Hattie Victoria "Granny" Shoun, 89, Rt. 5, died Tuesday, May 14, 1996, at her home following a lengthy illness.
    Mrs. Shoun was a Johnson County native and a daughter of the late Asa and Mary Morefield Ward. She had lived a number of years in Carter County.
    Mrs. Shoun was a Baptist.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, T. N. Shoun, in 1959; one son, two stepdaughters, four brothers, one sister, and two grandchildren.
    Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Graham, Elizabethton; and six grandchildren, Pat Graham Lowe, Brenda Davis, Kay Moody, Hilda Graham, Joey Shoun and Randy Shoun; and several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Victoria "Granny" Shoun, 89, Rt. 5, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. D. C. Byrd officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Shoun Cemetery...

    ELIZABETHTON - Patricia Ann Graham "Pat" Lowe, 66, Elizabethton, passed away Monday October 5, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness. Born January 3, 1949 at home on Stoney Creek to the late William Earl and Pauline Shoun Graham. She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents: Hattie Ward Shoun and TN. "Poly" Shoun, her paternal Grandparents: Dennie Rae Swift Graham Taylor and Theodore Roosevelt Graham of West Virginia. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Lynn Edward Graham and Ronald Earl Graham, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Pat was a 1966 graduate of Unaka High School. She was a member of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church. She was also a member of Buladeen Citizens Club where she had served as Secretary-Treasurer. Survivors include her son: W. Shane "Sugar Bear" Lowe and his wife Crystal, Her Grandson: Dylan Shane Lowe, he granddaughter: Elizabeth Nicole Lowe. Her Sisters: Brenda Graham Davis and husband Ernie, Kaye D. Graham Moody, sister-in-law: Hilda Street Graham and Carolyn Graham. Her nephews: Kyle Lynn Davis and Emillie Lance & Scott Graham of Michigan, niece Rachael Graham of Michigan. Many great nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends also survive. Graveside Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 in the Shoun Cemetery,(off Jess Hurley Road, Hwy. 91), Elizabethton with the Rev. Eric Heaton officiating. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Thursday will be: Gary Morrell, "Tank" Morrell, Charles Murray, Don Evans, Dylan Lowe, Beth Lowe, Jerry & Sherry Morrell and Tiny Bailey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Cole, Ken Walters, Jerry Weaver, Walter Williams, Dean Williams, Willa Fars, Greg Hurley, Ronnie Hurley and Hazen Street. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to the Staff of Mtn States Hospice, the staff of Hillview Health Care Center and the many friends and neighbors who visited with her during her illness. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery.

    Randy Keith Shoun, 64, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
    A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Leonard and Corine Estep Shoun.
    Randy was a graduate of Unaka High School and attended Herman Robinson Vocational Technical School. He was retired from the Radiology Department of the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. He loved working on cars.
    Randy was a member of Hunter United Methodist Church.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Blake Tanner, and a sister, Tammy Shoun. Randy was a member of Hunter United Methodist Church.
    Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Cathy Shell Shoun; his children, Brittany Shoun, Olivia Shoun, Jessica Cloutier and Lucas (Brittany) Tanner; several grandchildren; and one brother, Joey (Amy) Shoun.
    A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 10, in the Shoun Cemetery with the Rev. Lu Crandell Miller and the Rev. Mike Berry officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
