1. | Archie Dean Hardin was born about 1941 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 22 May 2016 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Mountain Home National Cemetery, , Washington County, Tennessee. Notes: HAMPTON - Archie Dean Hardin, 75, Hampton, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 in the Roan Highlands Nursing Center. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Smith & Loretta Dugger Hardin. Archie was a 1959 graduate of Hampton High School. He was a former employee of Beaunit Fibers and retired from the Carter County School System as a mechanic & bus driver. He was a member of the Beck Mountain Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond & Earl Hardin. Survivors include his wife of 55 years: Martha Honeycutt Hardin. Four Sons: Billy Hardin and Elizabeth Buttke, Erwin, Jeffrey Lynn Hardin, Elizabethton, Jamie Hardin, Marietta, Georgia and Jessie Hardin & Wife Sarah, Roan Mountain. Four Grandsons: James, Justin, Hunter & Bryson Hardin. One Brother: Teddy Hardin, Hampton, Six Sisters: Stella Henegar, Rozella Hardin, Sally Matherly, all of Elizabethton, Jane Browder, Rebecca Hardin and Elaine Larkins, all of Kingsport. Several nieces & nephews. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 1:45 p.m. Friday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard. There will be a visitation at a later date for family and friends.
