    Notes:

    He was a son of the late Dewey and Minnie Derafield Robinette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Wolfe Robinette, in 1988, and a son-in-law, Joe Robison.

    Mr. Robinette was a World War II Army veteran, having received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon and the Victory Medal.

    He retired in 1975 from American Chain & Cable after 30 years of service. He attended Unicoi Church of God.

    Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2004 from the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel.

    Graveside service and interment were held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2004 at Roselawn Memory Gardens, Johnson City.

    Irene June Tolley, age 85,112 Clarence Tolley Lane, Unicoi, passed unexpectedly Saturday morning, June 7, 2014 in the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Tolley was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Dewey Robinette, Sr. and Minnie Dearafield Robinette. She was the oldest living member of the Unicoi Church of God. Mrs. Tolley was a prolific reader, and enjoyed homemaking for her family.

    Mrs.Tolley was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Tolley, in 2002, and a brother, Ernest Robinette. She is survived by two daughters: Elizabeth Anne Roberts, and husband, Hobart, and Deborah Brummitt, both of Unicoi; one son: Jerry Tolley, and wife, Teresa, Virginia Beach,VA; three sisters: Mildred Morton, Emma Jean Wallin, and husband, Edison, both of Unicoi; Ethel Byrd, Erwin; two brothers: Dewey Robinette, Jr. and wife, Shirleen, Unicoi; Leonard Robinette, and wife, Mary, Erwin; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

    Funeral service for Mrs.Tolley will be held Monday, June 9, 2014 at 7:00 pm in the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Ronnie Holloway will officiate. Special music will be provided by Debra Britt, Billie Collins, and Bill Etheridge. Active pallbearers will be Hobart Roberts, Doug Roberts, Eric Brummitt, Justin Brummitt, Jerry Tolley, and Larry Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be the Unicoi Church of God Ladies Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, between the hours of 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and other times at the residence of her daughter, Anne Roberts, 116 Clarence Tolley Lane.

    The committal service for Mrs.Tolley will be in Roselawn Memory Gardens, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10:00 am.

    Irene married Clarence Tolley about 1945. Clarence (son of Doctor "Dock" Tolley and Jane Moore) was born on 29 Aug 1923 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 17 Mar 2002 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Roselawn Memorial Park, , Carter County, Tennessee.     UNICOI - Mildred Opal Robinette Byrd Morton, age 88, Unicoi, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019, at the Christian Care Center of Unicoi County.

    She was a native of Unicoi, but lived in Silver Springs, MD for fourteen years before returning to Unicoi for the rest of her life. Mildred was a daughter of the late Dewey Robinette, Sr. and Minnie Derafield Robinette. She was a lifelong member of Unicoi Church of God.

    In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Morton; her first husband and father of her children, Virgil Byrd; one grandson, David Jordan in 1977; two brothers: Ernest Robinette, Leonard Robinette; two sisters: Irene Tolley, Ethel Byrd.

    Mildred leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters: Kathy Owen (Ed), Memphis, Anita Johnson (Jack), Chicago; one son, James Byrd, Elizabethton; one brother, Dewey Robinette, Jr. (Shirleen), Unicoi; one sister, Emma Jean Wallin (Edison), Unicoi; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; her special niece, Amy Wallin Tipton, several other nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Eddie Blazer will officiate at the 7:00 P.M. funeral service. Jack Johnson and James Byrd will deliver the Eulogy. Music will be provided by Luanne Powers, Ron Shelton, and Amanda Osborne. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Roselawn Memory Gardens.

    ERWIN — Ethel Estelle Byrd, age 81, 103 Conductor Lane, Erwin passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016, at her residence.

    Mrs. Byrd lived most of her life in Erwin. She was a daughter of the late Dewey and Minnie Derafield Robinette. Mrs. Byrd was employed by Easy Painter where she worked as a packer for twenty-five years. She attended Unicoi Church of God.

    Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Lee Byrd on August 17, 1994; one son, Russell Byrd; two brothers: Ernest Robinette and Leonard Robinette; one sister, Irene Tolley.

    She leaves behind to cherish her memories, four sons: Terry Byrd and wife, Jeannie, Johnson City; Ron Byrd and wife, Sandra, NC; Dennis Byrd and wife, Pam, Erwin; Richard Byrd and wife, Terry, Church Hill; two daughters: Gail Holloway and husband, Reverend Travis Holloway, Erwin; Darlene Tate and husband, Kenny, Erwin; a daughter-in-law, Vivian Byrd, Erwin; one brother, Dewey Robinette, Jr. and wife, Sherlene, Unicoi; two sisters: Mildred Morton, Unicoi; Emma Jean Wallin and husband, Edison, Unicoi; eighteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great grandchildren to be born soon. Several nieces, nephews and her pet, "Pepper" also survive.

    The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 6:00 PM until the hour of funeral service at the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Travis Holloway and Reverend Eddie Blazer will officiate at the 8:00 PM funeral service. Music will be provided by Carolyn Harris. Active pallbearers will be Jon Byrd, Josh Byrd, Aaron Holloway, Kenny New, Paul Green, Trey Harris, William Byrd and John Holloway. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Byrd, Ashley Byrd and Preston Byrd.

    Committal service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Memory Gardens, Johnson City.

    He was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a son of the late Dewey and Minnie Derafield Robinette. Mr. Robinette had been employed by Murray Guard and CSX Railroad.

    He was a member of the Unicoi Church of God.

    Other than his parents, Mr. Robinette was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Robinette and a sister, Irene Tolley.

    Mr. Robinette leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of fifteen years, Mary E. Lewis Robinette; one son, Eddie Robinette of Jonesborough; two step-sons, John Lewis and wife, Lisa and James Lewis and wife, Judith, all of Johnson City; one brother, Dewey Robinette, Jr. and wife, Shirleen of Unicoi; three sisters, Mildred Morton, Unicoi, Ethel Byrd of Erwin and Emma Jean Wallin and husband, Edison of Unicoi; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Eddie Blazer and Reverend Ronnie Holloway will officiate at the 7:00 P.M. funeral service. Music will be provided by Inez Chandler, Pianist.

    The Men's Sunday School Class of the Unicoi Church of God will serve as honorary pallbearers. Active pallbearers will be John Lewis, James Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Jerry Peters, Lee Roberts, David Doan and Edison Wallin.

    The committal service will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. in the Roselawn Memory Gardens.
