    She was born and spent her early life in Carter Co., Tennessee and had been a resident of Wise Co. for the last 20 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
    Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. C. T. GARRISON, Mrs. Ralph BUSHMAN, and Miss Kate STOUT, all of Big Stone, two sons, Robert STOUT of Appalachia and Green STOUT of Big Stone Gap, one brother, William HARDING of Elizabethton, 10 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren.

    ELIZABETHTON - Calvin C. Hardin, 92, Elizabethton, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all passed away peacefully at Hillview Rehab, early Sunday morning, April 29. He had been surrounded constantly by those he loved since his illness.

    A native of Carter County, he had grown up in the Siam community of Elizabethton where he resided most of his life. He was the son of the late Hamilton Hardin and Sarah Jane Hardin. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Bessie Taylor Hardin, a daughter Edith Hardin Watts, a grandson Clinton Watts, brothers Lil, Henry, Lawrence, and sister Dorothy Hardin.

    Calvin started working as a young man at the Elizabethton Chair Factory; he also worked for various people in the community of Siam, Bemberg, and retired from North American Rayon.

    As a young man Calvin taught himself how to play guitar, mandolin, banjo, and harmonica. He played with various bands like the Stringtown Ramblers which was invited to be on the Grand Ole Opry, he played with the Clover Branch Boys, and various other groups. Calvin and his bands would play every Saturday on the Barrel of Fun radio show; he played Slagle's Pasture many times, and many other bluegrass venues. His favorite place to play was at church. Even in his later years he loved to pick and sing.

    Calvin was a long time standing member of Beck Mountain Baptist Church and loved everyone there.

    Survivors include his son C.B. Hardin and wife Candy of Hampton, daughter Dena Korczyk and husband Steve of Conyers, GA, son Lt. Col. Chris Hardin (retired) and wife Cindy of Knoxville. Grandsons Matthew Hardin, Scott Korczyk, Jack Hardin, and Joshua Hardin. Granddaughter Dr. Stevi Wheeler and husband Ben; great-grandchildren Gavin Hardin, Ian Hardin, Lindsay Hardin and Logan Wheeler. One like a daughter to he and Bessie, Jennifer Fleenor Sizemore and husband Tony; and their children Marah Wood, Evan Sizemore, Elissah, and Lydiah Sizemore. A sister-in-law Annis Deal and brother-in-law Lemmie Taylor. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

    A service to honor the life of Calvin Hardin will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastors Ronnie Campbell and Willie Lunsford and music provided by Jennifer Sizemore and Beth Stevens Blackwell. The family will receive friends in the chapel on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.

    Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Matthew Hardin, Jack Hardin, Steve Korczyk, Tony Sizemore, Henry Allen, and Mark Albury. Honorary pallbearers George Miller, Lemmie Taylor, Dwayne Taylor, Jim " Jimbo" Pittman, Jessie Joe Buckles, Phillip Nave, and the members of Beck Mountain Church.

    She was a native of Elizabethton and was the daughter of the late Joseph “Hook” Hardin and Ettie Belle Miller Hardin. Mrs. Rigsby was a Baptist by faith and had worked for Hammond Organ and Mayes Brothers. She enjoyed yard sales, visiting God’s Corner, gardening, especially raising and eating tomatoes and she loved cats. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Clyde Rigsby in 1998; also a brother, Carroll B. Hardin.

    Survivors include her three daughters, Linda English and husband, John of Johnson City, Janie Chase of Johnson City and Judy Pippin and husband, Tom of Smyrna, Tennessee; three step-daughters, Lola Harmon, Rose Turbyfield and Joy McQueen; a granddaughter, Heather Rigsby and Chris Keller of Johnson City; great-grandchildren, Aspen Oliver, Isaiah Oliver and Riley Cobin; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Rigsby will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Mr. Louie Blevins officiating.     Mr. Lovelace was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation.

    Survivors include a daughter, Pat Colbaugh of Elizabethton; sister, Pauline Lewis of Deltona, FL; six brothers, John, Allen and Ed Lovelace, all of Elizabethton, Clinton Lovelace of Johnson City, Glen Lovelace of Detroit, Mich., and Thomas Lovelace of Hampton; granddaughter, Karla (Larry) Bowers of Sevierville; grandson, Robert Colbaugh of Elizabethton; and a great-grandson, Matthew Bowers of Sevierville; and many nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. Interment will be in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery in Elizabethton.

    Pallbearers will be selected from his nephews.

    ELIZABETHTON - Mrs. Stella Marie Hardin Henegar, 81, of Elizabethton, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, in the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Henegar was a native and life-long resident of Carter County. She was the daughter of the late J. Smith and Loretta Dugger Hardin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine Henegar, Sr., who was the love of her life, and a grandson, Jonathan Reece, her best pal. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond L. Hardin in 1989; Earl K. Hardin, Sr., in 2015; and Archie D. Hardin in May, 2016.

    Mrs. Henegar was a graduate of Hampton High School. Her first job was at the old Anderson Supermarket on E Street during Christmas. She later worked at Eagle's, and for many years at the Tastee Freez, and later at Summers Hardware. She was a charter member of Beck Mountain Baptist Church, but later became a member of Sims Hill Christian Church, where she enjoyed worshiping until she was unable to attend due to her illness. Mrs. Henegar was a big supporter of the Carter County American Cancer Society Relay for Life, being a three time survivor of cancer herself, and in 2008 served as honorary chairperson. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family and being a caregiver. She especially enjoyed being with people and talking to them on the telephone. She also enjoyed sitting on the front porch and shopping. Her favorite places to shop were Wal-Mart, Peebles, and the grocery store, because of the many people she met. She was a collector of red birds and bird houses.

    Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Reece and her husband, Terry, of Butler; a son and her primary caregiver for the past several years, Blaine "Buddy" Henegar, Jr. and his special friend, Ladonna Williams of Elizabethton; one brother Teddy (Sharon) Hardin of Hampton; five sisters, Helen "Sally" Matherly and Rozella Hardin of Elizabethton, Jane (Wayne) Browder of Gray, who was her caregiver, took her shopping, out to eat, and to the doctor, as well as many other activities; Rebecca Shipley of Blountville, and Elaine Larkins of Elizabethton; a special nephew, Danny Henegar; and a special niece, April Matherly. Several other nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

    A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Henegar will be conducted on Monday, October 3, 2016, at 7:30 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Tetrick Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Campbell and Rev. Steve Guinn, officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5:00 – 7:30 PM on Monday prior to the service, and at her home, or the home of her daughter, at any time.

    The graveside service and interment will be conducted on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at 11:00 AM at the Sims Hill Christian Church Cemetery, with Rev. Bryan Smith officiating.     He was a Carter County native and a son of the late Paul and Dissiree Hardin Maupin. Rev. Maupin was a member of the Hill Street Church of God, Greeneville, TN. He was a former minister of Fire on the Rock Church of God, Newport, TN, Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church, Johnson City Free Will Baptist Church, Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church and several other churches in North Carolina and Indiana.

    Rev. Maupin served in the Vietnam Conflict with the US Army and received a Purple Heart.

    Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Janice Stonecipher Maupin, of the home; one daughter: Denise Maupin, one granddaughter: Jordonna Maupin, one grandson: Quinton Alexander, all of Johnson City; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Gary and Ruth Maupin, Johnson City, and Ronnie Maupin, Jonesborough; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Zane was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and was a friend to everyone. Zane was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and retired from the Johnson City Police Department after twenty-eight and ½ years of service. He also served as Chairman of the Carter County Republican Party and as a Carter County Commissioner. Zane was a member of Zion Baptist Church of Elizabethton and was a member of the Johnson City Elks Lodge.

    He was a native of Elizabethton, TN and was the son of the late Stacy and Ossie Loveless. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Loveless and Kay Vance and a brother, Tommy Loveless. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of forty-four years, Patty Radford Loveless, of the home; two daughters, Becky Loveless and Cassandra Vaughan and her husband Josh; a son, Nicholas Loveless, all of Elizabethton, TN; four grandchildren, Autumn Surcey and husband Tim, Jonathan McAllister, Nicholas Loveless and Carl Loveless and two great-grandchildren, Bentley Surcey and Jordan Surcey.     ELIZABETHTON - Emmert “Ray” Loveless, 68 of Elizabethton, TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 06, 2021, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Tempie Loveless. He was a faithful member and deacon of Little Mountain Baptist Church, where he enjoyed playing bass guitar. He was a retired carpenter and owner of Loveless Cabinet Tops. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchild.

    In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Loveless and dear brother in Christ, C. W. Snodgrass, Jr. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years Brenda Franklin Loveless of the home. Daughters: Tina Cole (Tim Willis) of Unicoi, Kim Norris (Thomas) of Watauga, TN. Three Grandchildren Linsey Cole, Dalton Norris and Cheyenne Norris. One Great Grandchild: Blaiklyn Cole. Two sisters and one brother: Evelyn Stroud of Statesville, NC, Gaye Loveless of Elizbethton, Tn, Chrisley Jay Loveless of Gilbert, SC. Special brothers in-law and sisters-in-law: Phyllis and Kenny Perry. Sandra Walters (Jim), Rick Franklin (Vicky), Jerry and Susan Franklin, Steve and Marie Franklin, Nancy Samples, Roger and Debbie Franklin, and Judy Grier.

    Many nieces and nephews survive.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tyler Street and Rev. Derrick Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the Loveless Cemetery with Mr. Gary Roe officiating.     GILBERT, SC - Chrisley Jay Loveless, 66, of Gilbert, SC on January 7, 2023 surrounded by his family at home. Chris was born and grew up in Elizabethton, TN. After graduating from Happy Valley High School in 1974, he worked for several manufacturing and retail stores in management. More importantly to him, Chris (Jay to his people in Elizabethton) began to work with several bands in Johnson City, TN before joining the band Hickory Switch and traveling around the west. It was there that he met the love of his life Mary on August 5, 1985. The two were engaged in August 23, 1985 and Chris married Mary and her 2 children on November 9, 1985. The next 4 years welcomed 2 more children in 1986 and 1989 and a move to Gilbert, SC in 1991 where they raised their family.

    Chris is preceded in death by his mother Tempie D. Loveless, and 2 brothers Leonard Clay and Emmert Ray Loveless. He is survived by his wife Mary, his daughter Anita Shelek (Todd) in Wheeling, WV, his son Danny Jumer (Norma) in Gilbert, SC, his daughter Aubrey Vaughn in Columbia, SC, and his son Forrest Loveless in Gilbert, SC; two sisters, Evelyn Stroud, of Statesville, NC, Gaye Loveless, of Elizabethton, TN; two sister's-in-law, Brenda Loveless, of Elizabethton, TN and Linda Loveless, of WY; along with 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild on the way and many beloved nieces and nephews.

    Chris was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt the deserved. His family was his whole world.

    The family will have a service to honor the life of Chrisley “Jay” Loveless on Saturday January 14th, 2023 at 1 pm with Pastor Charles Swann officiating and Aubrey Vaughn will be presenting the eulogy. They will receive friends from 12-1 pm prior to the service. The graveside service will follow at Loveless-Woodby family cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Stroud, Thomas Norris, Dalton Norris, Frances Bell, Tony Deloach, Ricky Woodby, and Kaiden Loveless with Aubrey Vaughn serving as an honorary pallbearer.

    Mr. Hardin worked at Holston Defense from November of 1961 to September 1997 with 30 years of perfect attendance. He was a fast pitch softball pitcher from the early 1960's through the 1970's for several teams.
    Mr. Hardin and his wife owned and operated their family business, Ken's Fashions, for many years. He was a member of Siam Baptist Church but attended Lynn Valley Baptist Church. He was known as "Pappaw" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved so much.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce E. Bullock Hardin; parents, Robert and Bertie Hardin; daughter, Lisa Ellen Hardin; and granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Holly.
    He is survived by his children, Sharon Edwards and her husband, Gary, Kenny Hardin and his wife, Tammy, and Angie Holly and her husband, Billy; brother, Ira Dean Hardin; step-brother, R.L. Gobble; grandchildren, Stephanie Garland and her husband, Timmy, Korey Hardin, Bethany Ingram and her husband, Alex, and Lucas Holly; great-grandchildren, Colby Garland and Cambrie Ingram; and several nieces and nephews.

    JOHNSON CITY - Rondal (Ron) Clay Lovelace, 78, passed away at his home in Johnson City, TN on May 23, 2021 following an extended illness. He was born to the late Arnold B. Lovelace and Evelyn Hyder Lovelace Byrd on August 30, 1942 in Carter County, TN.

    He had no blood born siblings, but a host of brothers and sisters in Siam where he grew up. His best and long-time friend since they were 4 years old, Ted Hamilton died last summer.

    Ron was a Polio survivor. He graduated from Elizabethton High School in 1960. He was an American Patriot with hopes of getting an Army commission after firing in ROTC at ETSU for 3 years. But during his last physical at Ft. Benning, GA, the effects of Polio showed up, causing the loss of that dream. He had been #1 in his class for marksmanship. Ron worked with the Carter Co. Youth Civil Air Patrol in the early 1960s. He loved working with the Boy Scouts Troup #220 teaching emergency preparedness.

    Ron was the Science Hill Band Booster President several times in the late seventies to late eighties. He was always where his children were.

    He was an Adult Sunday School teacher at Snow Memorial and filled in as Trustee of the church. Now a member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church. Ron was a Mason, past Johnson City Lodge and Unicoi Lodge. He was a machine designer, retiring on disability from Texas Instruments in 1992 after post Polio Syndrome took over his body in 1987.

    Ron is predeceased by his parents, daughter, Ronda Michelle Lovelace, stepfather, Ralph Byrd, brothers-in-law Ralph Saylor and Earl Saylor.

    Ron was married to the love of his life, and high school sweetheart for 58 years, 8 months, Elizabeth Ann Saylor Lovelace. He has left to cherish his memory a son, David Lovelace and wife, Karen, daughters, Rebecca Ann Lovelace and Rachel Michelle Lovelace, grandchildren, Ryan Lovelace and wife Jenifer, Megan Lovelace Hall and husband Adrian, Olivia Faith Lovelace and three great- grandchildren, Louella, Elijah and Hudson, Special niece, Elizabeth (Beth) T. Saylor of Seattle WA. whom he thought of as a daughter, special cousins, Pauletta Pierce (Lawrence), Sue Arp (Ron).

    He was a retired payroll supervisor from North American Rayon Corporation after 37 years of service. He loved to play golf, sing gospel hymns, and spend time with his grandchildren. He was long-time member of Beck Mountain Baptist Church where he was the Men's Class Sunday School teacher, a member of the choir, and served as a Trustee and Choir Leader. He previously served as a board member for Happy Valley Credit Union.

    He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Valarie Suzette Lovelace; his parents, Harold and Pauline Lovelace; and a sister, Charlene Harmon Houstma.

    Survivors include his wife of 55 years and his principal caregiver, Emily Lovelace; his son, Wesley Lovelace and wife Tracy of Southside, Alabama; his daughter, Cindy Cox and husband Sid of Elizabethton; his grandchildren, Chelsie Cox, Courtney Cox Winters and husband Martin, of Elizabethton; Austin Lovelace and Hayley Lovelace of Southside, Alabama; brothers, Charles Lovelace, Terry Lovelace and Randy Lovelace; sisters, Doris Colbaugh, Wilma Colbaugh and Paula Berry; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful, four legged companion, Marlie "Poo Dog".

    Razzo was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Mail Carrier. He was of the Baptist Faith.

    Patsy retired from General Shale Products in the Human Resources Department. She was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church and volunteered with Hales Ministries of Elizabethton. Patsy enjoyed reading and traveling.
    Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Gary L. Johnson, of the home; a son, Robert C. Colbaugh and wife Carole of Johnson City; a daughter, Karla R. Bowers of Kodak, Tenn.; a step-daughter, Shana Christine Johnson of Elizabethton; and two grandchildren, Matthew R. Bowers and Clayton Burton.
    A celebration of life service for Patsy Carol Johnson will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 22, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Scott Thompson officiating.

    JOHNSON CITY - Benny Allen Lovelace, age 66, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Lovelace was the son of the late Clinton Ray and Elsie Lee Campbell Lovelace. In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Lovelace, and a nephew, Adam Culbert. He was of the Baptist faith.

    Benny was a fun loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a kind hearted and loving man who never held a grudge against anyone. His passions in life were many, but none were as important to him as his family. Benny was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Shirley Lovelace, and was a wonderful father and grandfather. Mr. Lovelace was the owner of Cherokee Metals, and prior to that was a former employee of Allied Metals. He loved working on cars and watching NASCAR, and had also found great enjoyment in deer hunting. He had a true love for bass fishing and was a member of several fishing clubs. Most knew him as a jokester who loved to tease his friends.

    In addition to his wife, Benny is survived by a son, Jimmy Allen Lovelace and his wife, Ashley, and their daughter, Ryleigh, of Johnson City; four daughters: Laura Rutherford and her husband, Joseph, and their children, Joseph, Jr., Kristina-Marie, Michael, and Sean, of Norton, OH, Kim Oliver and her husband, David, and their children, Jordan, Kayli, and Koby, of Springfield, TN, Sherry Arnett and her husband, Josh, and their daughter, Addison, of Warner Robins, GA, and Tracy McGuire and her husband, Todd, and their children, Camden, Cayden, and Colten, of Jonesborough. Survivors also include 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim Lovelace, Jonesborough; a sister, Paula Richards, Johnson City; his uncle, J.C. Campbell and his wife, Jeanette, Roan Mountain; his step-mother, Thelma Lovelace, Johnson City; a special sister-in-law, Sheila Culbert and Kevin Shaw, Jonesborough; a brother-in-law, John Elrod, Johnson City; nieces, Amy Elrod, Autumn Carter, Elizabeth Lovelace, and Karen Jo Matherly; nephews, Zach and Clint Lovelace; great-niece and great-nephew, Haley and Isaiah Elrod; and his loving companions, his dogs, Corben and Chloe.

    The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the ICU Dept. of the JCMC, and all his many special friends that were more like a brother to him including, but most certainly not limited to, Johnny Johnson, Donnie Davis, Billy Jack Cowan, and Gerald Jones.

    Edward Lon Lovelace Jr., 64, of Gray, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at the Heart Hospital at Johnson City Medical Center after complications from an extended illness.
    Mr. Lovelace was a native of Carter County. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lovelace Sr., and his mother, Mary "Madge" Dickenson Lovelace of Elizabethton, and a brother-in-law, Harry Carr, of Hampton.
    He is survived by his wife, Sharon Lovelace, of the home; a daughter, April Lovelace and long-term boyfriend, Darrell Gosnell, of Flag Pond; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Tara Franklin, of Kingsport; two grandsons, Trever and Taylor Hamilton; a granddaughter, Olivia Pugh; and two sisters, Brenda and husband Larry Peters Sr., of Stoney Creek, and Pamela Carr, of Hampton. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and special "fur children," Lilly and Baby Cat, also survive.
    Edward served his country in the Army as a Military Policeman. He worked for 20 years at Fort Henry Mall as a security guard and finally as Chief of Operations and Security, before leaving. He worked several other security jobs including armed security, Target, First Tennessee Bank, Johnson City Juvenile Detention Center and Holston Valley Hospital before becoming disabled and having to retire in 2014. He was also a Security Trainer throughout his career.
    Mr. Lovelace had a love of music and guitar, teaching himself how to play. He was a great lover and advocate of animals. Edward had a passion for cooking, gardening, riding motorcycles and fishing. He was also a member and supporter of the Lions Club for many years.
    The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Heart Hospital at Johnson City Medical Center for the care and compassion they have shown through this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you send donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or to your local animal shelter.

    Kathy Marie Henegar Reece, Butler, died Oct. 19, 2019, at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a lengthy illness.

    Kathy, 63, was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County. She was the daughter of the late Blaine and Stella Hardin Henegar. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Reece.

    Kathy was a graduate of Hampton High School and was retired from Lowe's Food Stores.

    She was a member of Sims Hill Christian Church, but attended Fish Springs Baptist Church.

    Very talented in arts and crafts, Kathy enjoyed quilting, crocheting, baking and decorating cakes. She also enjoyed making seasonal decorations. Kathy was a very talented seamstress and in past years had directed a number of weddings and also made several wedding gowns. She had won some blue ribbons for her quilts.

    She especially enjoyed the time spent with her sewing club friends.

    Survivors include her husband, Terry Reece of the home; a brother, Blaine "Bud" Henegar, Jr. and his fiancée, LaDonna Williams of Houston, Tx.; a grandson, Sam Swecker, Eizabethton; one uncle, Teddy Hardin, Hampton; five aunts, Helen "Sally" Matherly and Rozella Hardin, Elizabethton; Jane Browder, Gray; Rebecca Shipley, Blountville, and Elaine Freeman, Boones Creek; a very special friend, Phyllis Slemp; and her pet companion, Sassy.

    She is also survived by a number of cousins, in-laws, and special friends.

    The family would like to thank her caregivers, Michelle Lewis, Amy Jackson, and Belle for their love and care; to the staff at Sycamore Shoals Hospital, especially the nurses in the ICU unit; the Carter County Rescue Squad; and Dr. Kenneth Hopland and Medical Care.

    It was Kathy's wish to be cremated with no formal services. Her ashes will be disposed of in a private ceremony to be held at a later date.

    Born March 18, 1967, to Archie and Martha Honeycutt Hardin, Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with those he loved.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Archie D. Hardin.
    He will be dearly missed and leaves many memories left to cherish by his loving partner, Janet Smith; mother, Martha Hardin; brothers, Bill Hardin and Liz, Jamie Hardin, and Jesse Hardin and wife Sarah; two sons, Justin and Hunter Hardin; nephews, James Hardin and Bryson Hardin; and a special new grandson, Theo Hardin.
    The family will receive friends at the home of Jesse Hardin in Roan Mountain. Per Jeff's wishes, no service or interment is planned, as he selflessly donated his body to cancer research so that others might live.

    He was born in Elizabethton, Tenn. and lived most of his adult life in Big Stone Gap. He proudly served as a Petroleum Supply Specialist with the 101st Airborne Division of the U. S. Army. He was of Baptist faith.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Thomas “Charlie” Lovelace and Patricia Ann (Howington) Lovelace.
    Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Tracie Wheatley Lovelace; three daughters, Karlee Lovelace, Kaylee Lovelace and Meghan Lovelace, all of the home; three brothers, Charles T. “Chuck” Lovelace, Christopher “Chris” Lovelace and Robert Lovelace, all of Kingsport, TN; two sisters, Triscilla Hill (Tony) of Lexington, N.
