    Notes:

    William C. "Bill" Morton, age 79, of Hampton, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at his residence, following an extended illness.

    Mr. Morton was born in Hampton, to the late William Carmel and Letha Leone Campbell Morton.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Smith Morton; and numerous aunts and uncles.

    Mr. Morton retired as a truck driver and attended Hampton Baptist Church. He was an avid model car collector and enjoyed NASCAR.

    Survivors include an aunt, Dorothy Goodwin, Hampton; brothers-in-law, Steve Smith and Bart and Sue Smith; a sister-in-law, Sandra and Carroll McKinney; several nieces, nephews and cousins, along with his special friends, Bobby Trivette and Joe and Wilma Williams, also survive.

    A service to honor the life of Mr. William C. "Bill" Morton will be conducted at 12:30 PM on Friday, July 10, 2015, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton.

    The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday.

    The committal and entombment service will follow in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
