    Notes:

    Mr. Robert Tipton Nave, age 87, of Johnson City, TN, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015, in the Hermitage Health Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, TN, he was the son of the late Elbert Vance Nave and Margaret Barnes Nave.

    Mr. Nave received his BS Degree from East Tennessee State University and received Master's Degrees from the University of Tennessee and U.C.L.A. He was a retired school teacher having taught in Carter County, Florida and California and he was a member of the Watauga Historical Association and enjoyed genealogy. Mr. Nave was a U.S. veteran, having served in both Air Force and the Army.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Mary Allen Nave; a niece, Shirley Anne Wandell; and a niece-in-law, Sandra Whitehead Wandell.

    Survivors include his sister, Anne N. Hensley and husband, Woodward, Elizabethton; two nephews, James Vance Wandell and wife, Angela, Elizabethton, and Robert Frank Wandell, Knoxville, TN; a great-niece, Sarah Michelle; and a great-nephew, Michael Wandell and wife, Amanda. Many cousins and many friends also survive.

    Anne N. Hensley, 90, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Monday, November 12, 2018, in Elizabethton. She was born August 24, 1928, the daughter of the late Elbert Vance Nave and Anna Margaret Barnes Nave.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley A. Wandell; her step-mother, Mary A. Nave; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Wandell; and a brother, Robert T. Nave.
    Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Woodward T. Hensley; two sons, Robert F. Wandell and James V. Wandell and wife Angela; two grandchildren, Michael V. Wandell and Sarah M. Rice; and three great-grandchildren, Trevor Rice, Blakely Wandell and Maximus Wandell.
    A private graveside service to honor the life of Anne N. Hensley will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 16, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery with Mr. Charles Hensley officiating.
