    ELIZABETHTON — Anna Mae Deloach McCoury, 85, Ivy Hall Nursing Home, formerly of 183 Rosewood Circle, Elizabethton, died Thursday, September 25, 2003, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

    A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Stella Grindstaff Deloach. She had lived a number of years in Elizabethton. She was a housewife, Mom and Nannie. Mrs. McCoury was a Charter Member of Harvest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry McCoury; and Five Brothers, Clyde, Junior, Billy, Has and J.G. Deloach.

    Survivors include A Son & Daughter-in-Law: Jeff and Dee McCoury, Elizabethton; A Daughter and Son-in-Law: Neci and Pooner Powell, Elizabethton; A Step-Daughter: Dora McCoury of Georgia; A Step-Son: Sonny McCoury, Jacksonville, Florida; Five Sisters: Pauline Gentry, Emily City, Michigan, Hazel Pleasant, Butler, Mary Cassar, Concord, North Carolina, Laura Deloach and Elmina Deloach, both of Elizabethton; A Brother: Floyd Deloach, Elizabethton; Four Grandchildren: Breanna McCoury and Kristin Powell, both of Elizabethton, Tammy McCoury and Timmy McCoury, both of Jacksonville, Florida; Two Great Granddaughters of Jacksonville, Florida; and a Host of Nieces & Nephews & Friends.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Burl Garland and Rev. Dale Greenwell officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday will be: Carl Canter, Pooner Powell, Stacy Whitson, Charles Simmons, Joseph Taylor, J.B. Shepherd, Johnny Stines and John Fisher.

    A special "Thank You" to Victor & Judy Deloach and the Staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home. Also a Special Friend, Dorothy Buckles. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.     She loved to read, quilt, cook and work in her garden.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Anna Mae McCoury, Pauline Gentry, Hazel Pleasant and Mary Cassar; and five brothers: Clyde Deloach, Dana Hass Deloach, J.G. Deloach, William Deloach and Roscoe Deloach Jr.
    Survivors include a sister: Laura Deloach of the home; a brother: Floyd "Bobby" Deloach, of the home; and several nieces & nephews.
    Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, in the Mausoleum of Peace Chapel, Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Nephews.

    Mary Deloach Cassar, 81, Salisbury, North Carolina, passed away Friday, December 11, 2009, at Autumn Care in Salisbury, NC.

    Born April 14, 1928, in Johnson County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Stella Grindstaff Deloach.

    She retired from the food service industry after 45 years of service and along with her late husband, Renard, were active members of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church in Gray, Tennessee. She has been a resident of Salisbury, NC for ten years and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Renard (Ron) Cassar, on December 21, 1976, and by five brothers and three sisters.

    She is survived by her three daughters, Rebecca Terry and her husband, Glenn, of Salisbury, NC, Stella Isenberg and her husband, Roy, of Gray, Tennessee, Sharon Pontius and her husband, Brian, of Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Laura and Elmina Deloach, and a brother, Floyd Deloach, all from Elizabethton, Tennessee; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

    Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Elizabethton, Tennessee.

    Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Chapel.

    Burial will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton, TN. Reverend Gene Lasley of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church will be officiating.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Cassar to Rowan Regional Hospice, 720 Grove St., Salisbury, NC 28144; or Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2515 East Innes St., Salisbury, NC 28146.

    The family extends a special "Thank You" to the wonderful employees of Autumn Care and Rowan Regional Hospice for working so close together in providing excellent and compassionate care and services to our mother. Also, a very special thanks to Cheryl Trammell, RN and Jimmy Porter, CNA, with Rowan Regional Hospice.

    Pallbearers will be her three grandsons, Andrew Shearin, Christian Terry and Zachary Terry; and her three son-in laws, Glenn Terry, Roy Isenberg and Brian Pontius.

A native of Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Stella Grindstaff Deloach. Mrs. Pleasant retired as a Nursing Assistant. She was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Pleasant; one sister; and five brothers. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Teresa Pleasant and David and Sandra Pleasant, of Butler; two step-sons and daughters-in-law: Truett and Sue Pleasant, of Butler, and Justin and Karen Pleasant, of Fullerton, California; Five Grand-children: Justin Pleasant, Barry Pleasant, Liza Brooks, Chris Pleasant and Scotty Pleasant; four sisters: Pauline Gentry, of Emily City, Michigan, Mary Cassar, Concord, N.C., Laura Deloach and Elmina Deloach, of Elizabethton; one brother, Floyd Deloach, of Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Phillips and Rev. Burl Garland officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Family Cemetery. A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Estella Grindstaff Deloach. Laura had lived most of her life in Elizabethton and was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. She was a beautician and later worked at the Bemberg Corporation for several years. Her last employment was in the cleaning department of Ivy Hall Nursing Home. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Anna Mae McCoury, Pauline Gentry, Hazel Pleasant, Mary Cassar and Elmina Deloach, and five brothers, Clyde, Dana, J.G., William and Roscoe Deloach Jr. Survivors include her brother, Floyd "Bobby" Deloach, of the home, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Laura P. Deloach will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, December 11, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum. Family and friends will assemble at the Mausoleum at 10:50 a.m. Friday.

Following his retirement he was employed at Chaparral Pontiac-Buick and GMC, Johnson City. Kenneth was a member of the Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years: Diane Lynn Weese DeLoach, October 2, 2013, a brother: Burlus DeLoach and a niece: Brandy Ann Hicks, a great nephew: Zack Brugh.
    Survivors include his Children: Donna DeLoach, Elizabethton, Bryan DeLoach and wife Dawn, Gray and Shanna Roark and fiancé Brad Kirk, Telford. His Grandchildren: Gavin Roark, Gage DeLoach, Lola DeLoach, Harleigh DeLoach and Kendal DeLoach. Two Sisters: Dorothy Cooper and husband Dennis, Athens, Tenn., and Juanita Hicks and husband, David, Johnson City. A Brother: Victor DeLoach & wife Judy, Elizabethton.     A Service to celebrate the life of Kenneth DeLoach will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in the Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Mark Potter officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2014 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Megan Harsh and the Praise Choir, Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church and Jennifer Martin, Soloist.

    JOHNSON CITY - Juanita DeLoach Hicks, age 68, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at her residence. Juanita was born in Carter County to the late JG DeLoach and Dorothy Nadine Ellis DeLoach. In addition to her parents, Juanita was also preceded in death by her daughter, Brandy Ann Hicks; her oldest brother, Burlus J. DeLoach and another brother, Kenneth M. DeLoach.
    Juanita retired from Kennametal as a machinist and was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Jonson City.
    Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, David M. Hicks, of the home; a sister, Dorothy F. Cooper (Dennis) of Athens, TN; a brother, Victor S. DeLoach (Judy) of Elizabethton, TN; a special adopted son, Charlie Norman (Beth) of Elizabethton; and a lifelong friend, Paula “Polly” Jones Grindstaff. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
    A graveside service to honor the life of Juanita DeLoach Hicks will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Hobbie McCreary officiating. Music will be provided by Rick Sweeney. Active pallbearers will be Joseph Taylor, Vic DeLoach, Stacy Whitson, Russell Cooper, Brian DeLoach, Bradley Whitson, Josh Whitson and Gage DeLoach.
