    Notes:

    Ronda Darrell Fair, age 82, died Friday, February 7, 2020 at his residence in Rainsville, Alabama. Ronda was born February 11, 1937 in Carter County and was the son of the late Luther J. and Thelma Crete Stout Fair.

    Ronda was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Rainsville, Alabama.

    He was a retired over the road driver with Roadway-YRC Freight Lines with a total of 29 years of service.

    While driving for Roadway he received the Presidential Safety Award, the Mile Span Accident Free Award. He was also a Two Million Mile Achiever for Roadway.

    Ronda was a 1955 graduate of Hampton High School and a veteran of the U S Navy. He loved to fish, and travel with his wife Margaret, especially after his retirement.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ellen Fair.

    Those left to cherish his memory include his wife; Margaret A. Dean Fair of the home, one daughter, Theresa (Robert) Akins of Ringgold, GA, two sons, Marcus Fair of Morristown, TN, and Benjamin Fair of Hampton, VA, a stepson, Jeff Dean, two step-daughters, Karen Selvage and Wanda Sue King, one brother, Richard (Dick) Fair and one sister, Rebecca (Beckie) Barr both of Elizabethton, two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.

    A service to honor the life of Ronda Darrell Fair will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, February 10, 2020, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with friends and family members honoring Ronda’s life.

    Interment in Highland Cemetery will follow the service.

    ELIZABETHTON - Richard Sherrill “Dick” Fair, age 82, of Elizabethton, died Thursday October 7, 2021 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Carter County on May 14, 1939 and was a son of Luther and Thelma Crete Stout Fair. Dick was a member of the Centerview Church of Christ and was a retired over the road truck driver for Roadway Express with 28 years of service. He was a 1957 graduate of Elizabethton High School. Prior to driving for Roadway Express, he was a dock supervisor for Mason and Dixon Freight Lines and was also a supervisor for the Polyester Plant of North American Rayon. He was a member of Dashiell Masonic Lodge, #238 F and A M, a member of Knoxville Consistory of Scottish Rite and the Jericho Shrine Temple. He was a member of the Elizabethton Shrine Band and the Jesters of Jericho Temple. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Rhonda Fair.
    He is survived by his son Rick Fair of Phoenix, Arizona, his sister, Rebecca Lou Fair Barr of Elizabethton, two grandchildren, Travis Fair and Curtis Fair, four great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Travis Jr., Julian and Iryiana, one niece and three nephews, his best friends Victor and Judy Deloach, a special friend Kathy McGee and numerous cousins.
    A service to honor the life of Richard “Dick” Fair will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 12, 2021, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with Mr. Tony Hoss, Minister officiating. Music will be provided by Jerry Pierce soloist. Following the service Masonic rites will be accorded by the Dashiell Masonic Lodge #238 F&AM.
    The family will receive friends in the chapel of the funeral home from 5:00 Tuesday until the service hour.
    Interment will be in the Garden of Freedom at Happy Valley Memorial Park

    Rebecca Lou Fair Barr, 73, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton. She was the daughter of the late Luther Fair and Thelma Crete Stout Fair.
    Rebecca was a member of Stoney Creek Church of Christ.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rickey Allen Barr; son, Greg Thomas Barr; and brothers, Ron Fair and Richard Fair.
    Those left to cherish her memory are several nephews, nieces and cousins.
    A graveside service to honor the life of Rebecca Lou Fair Barr will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 11, at Centerview Cemetery with Mr. David Irick officiating.

    Mr. Ricky Dean Collins, 57, of Johnson City, formerly of Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at his residence.
    He was the son of Darlene Stout Collins, of Johnson City, and the late Gary Kyle Collins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Lillie Stout; and his paternal grandparents, Eston and Maxine Collins.
    Mr. Collins was a graduate of Unaka High School and attended Walters State Community College, where he played baseball. He started a career in law enforcement with the Carter County Sheriff's Department. He continued to work in law enforcement with the Elizabethton Police Dept., the ETSU Campus Police and the Johnson City Police Department, where he retired following thirty plus years of service. During his time at JCPD he worked with the Drug Task Force and the SWAT Team. After he retired, he returned to JCPD and was currently working as a training consultant.
    He was also a former member of the Carter County Rescue Squad. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, A.Q.H.A, A.P.H.A, N.R.H.A. and the Liaison for the Tennessee Reining Horse Association.
    In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of thirty years, Vicki Lee Collins, of the home; a sister, Kay Collins, Johnson City; a niece Seidena Malone and her husband, Josh, Johnson City; two great-nephews, Collin Nidiffer and Kayson Malone, both of Johnson City; a great-niece, Everly Malone, Johnson City; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Helen Lee.
    The service to honor the life of Mr. Collins will be conducted on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Dr. James Richardson and Chaplain Edward Jefferies officiating. Honor Guard will be provided by the Johnson City Police Department.
    The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 4:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday prior to the service and at the home of his mother at other times.
    Private disposition will be held at a later time. Honorary pallbearers will be his Brothers and Sisters of the Johnson City Police Dept., Kim Birchfield, Randy Berry, Phil Caddell, Billy Patton and Buzz Martin.
