    Miss Delmer O. Irick, 94, formerly of Ruby Avenue, Elizabethton, died
    Sunday, July 18, 2004 in the Life Care Center of Elizabethton following
    an extended illness.

    A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late B. and Emma
    Birchfield Irick.

    Miss Irick was a member of Centerview Church of Christ and was the last
    living charter member of "C" Street Church of Christ.
    She retired from Bemberg Corporation after 28 years of service working
    in the cafeteria.

    Miss Irick is preceded in death by one sister, Bernice Williams and four
    brothers, Dallas Irick, Clark Irick, Tom Irick and Edward "Sport" Irick.
    Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Amy and Darnel Baird,
    Elizabethton; Gussie and Bill Frazier, Florence, Ala.; several nieces and
    nephews also survive.

    The funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2004 in
    the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with Mr. David Irick, nephew,
    officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Centerview Church
    of Christ Singers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday
    prior to the funeral service in the chapel. The graveside service and
    burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at Happy
    Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and
    friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Centerview Church of Christ,
    Doctors and Nursing Staff of Lifecare Center of Elizabethton. Everyone will
    meet at the funeral home chapel at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession
    to the cemetery. Friends may call at the home of a sister, Amy Baird, 603
    Barker St., Elizabethton, at any time.

    Gussie Irick Frazier, 74, Randolph Street, Florence, Ala., passed away
    at her home on Dec. 28, 2004, following a lengthy illness with cancer. She
    was the daughter of the late B and Emma Birchfield Irick. She was a graduate
    of Hampton High School and attended East Tennessee State University. She
    received her R.N. degree in nursing at the Appalachian School of Nursing in
    1952. After her marriage to A.W. "Bill" Frazier, they moved to Florence, Ala.,
    where she worked as a R.N. at the Coffee Memorial Hospital before starting her
    family. She was a member of the Sherrod Avenue, Church of Christ. She was
    preceded in death by four brothers, Dallas, Thomas, Clark and Eddie Irick, and
    two sisters Bernice Williams and Delmer Irick.

    She is survived by her husband, A.W. "Bill" Frazier, of the home, two sons and
    one daughter-in-law, Gordon and Sue Frazier, Oxford, Ala. and Tony Frazier,
    Tuscumbia, Ala.; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mark Guimond, Evans,
    Ga.; three grandchildren, Rachel Jones, Wesley Frazier, and Lucas Roger
    Guimond; two step- grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, Mary Catherine and
    Emma Grace Jones; one sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Darnel Baird,
    Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.

    The funeral service was conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2004 at Elkins
    Funeral Home, Florence, Ala., with Minister Kenny Barfield officiating. The
    family received friends in the funeral home chapel on Friday, from 6-8 p.m.
    prior to the service hour, or friends may also call at the residence, 2219
    Randolph Street, Florence, Ala. any time. The graveside service was conducted
    at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, Florence,
    Ala.

    Mrs. Morrison was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late
    Dallas and Annie Hicks Irick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded
    in death by her husband, Leroy Morrison, March 23, 2002, a daughter, Debra
    Blackburn, a sister, Dorothy Dugger, and two brothers, Haley Irick and Glasco
    Irick.

    Mrs. Morrison was a graduate of Hampton High School. She was a retired
    employee of Magnavox and worked at Kennametal, Johnson City, for several
    years.

    Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette and Ken Dugger,
    Cindy anDwight Treadway and Jamie and B.J. Payne, all of Elizabethton; four
    sisters and brothers-in-law, Lena and Jim Andrews, Pauline and Clay Swift
    and Norma and Jack Campbell, all of Elizabethton, and Maxine and Harmon
    Hardin, Gastonia, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jasmine and Zack
    Treadway, Kristina and Ashley Blackburn, Aaron and Adrian Dugger and Amanda
    Collins; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Irick and Martha Irick, both of
    Elizabethton, and Delores Shuler, Indianapolis, Ind. Several nieces and
    nephews also survive.

    Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, November 26, at
    Happy Valley Memorial Park with David Irick, minister, officiating. Music
    will be provided by the Centerview Singers. Active pallbearers, who are
    requested to assemble at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Friday, will be
    Nathaniel Treadway, Aaron Dugger, Zack Treadway, Darrell Irick, Adrian
    Dugger, Michael Andrews and Jimmy Blackburn. Honorary pallbearers will be
    the family friends. The family would like to express a special "Thank You"
    to Gwen Taylor, Dr. Jeff Farrow, Dr. James Shipley, Dr. Sheryl Pack, The
    Adventa Hospice and American Home Patient and the Staff of Sycamore Shoals
    Hospital. Friends may call at the funeral home or residence. Family and
    friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Friday to go to
    the cemetery.

    On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, our precious mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Norma Jean (Irick) Campbell, was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband and daughter at the age of 81. Born in Carter County, Tenn., on September 5, 1941, Norma was a daughter of the late Dallas Carroll Irick and Anna Mae “Annie” (Hicks) Irick. Norma was the wife of the late Jack Campbell. Also preceding her in death is her youngest daughter, Carol Ann (Campbell) Guinn; her brothers, Glasco Irick, Haley Irick and Charles Irick; and five sisters, Willa May Morrison, Dorothy Dugger, Pauline Swift, Lena Andrews and Maxine Hardin.
    A wonderful and loving Christian lady, Norma was a precious matriarch of her family. She was a true example of a loving and devoted wife and mother to her husband and children. Norma worked tirelessly tending to her home inside and outside and had beautiful rhododendrons in her yard, but moreover she had love in her home. Norma lived in the Buntontown Community of Butler, where she raised her children, until her health declined and she moved to Hudson, N.C., with her oldest daughter. Norma was a staple in her community and will be dearly missed.
    Norma retired from Chetola Resort and was a devoted member of Centerview Church of Christ. She loved reading her Bible and going to church both to hear the message of God and to fellowship with her church family and friends. A lover of bluegrass music, Norma enjoyed going to various bluegrass festivals with her family, but most of all Norma enjoyed her family time with her great-grandchildren and watching them play sports. In her spare time she liked doing crossword puzzles.
    Those left to continue and cherish Norma’s wonderful memories include her daughter and loving caretaker, Lisa Diane (Campbell) Potter and husband Gary of Hudson, N.C.; her grandchildren, whom she was very proud of, Jason Potter, Joshua Potter and Jonathan Guinn; five great-grandchildren, who brought so much joy to her, Jackson Potter, Jase Potter, Macy Potter, Jake Potter and Jep Potter; and several nieces and nephews, along with many friends, church family and past and present neighbors.
    A service to remember and celebrate Norma’s life will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 6, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Mr. David Irick, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 1 until 2:30 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.
    Norma’s graveside service will follow in the Whitehead Cemetery (Cable Hollow Road) in Butler. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Norma’s special nephews and many other beloved family and friends.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Thomas "Toe" Bowman, who died January 20, 2007; and a brother, Jack Irick.

    Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law: Robin & Bill Swinson, Mountain City; A son & daughter-in-law: Gary L. & Lisa Bowman, Butler; Four Grandchildren: Tommy Bowman, Catherine Bowman, Nikki Whaley and Christopher Whaley; Two Great Grandchildren: Jamie Whaley and Venice Whaley; Two Brothers: B. Irick, Butler, and Ted Irick, Roan Mountain; Two Sisters: Norma Dugger, Elizabethton, and Lois Morrell, Piney Flats; Several Nieces & Nephews.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Andy Lunsford and Mr. Terry Dugger, Ministers, officiating.

    Graveside Service and Interment will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012, in the Walnut Mountain Cemetery. Music will be provided by Terry Dugger. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

    Norma Ruth Irick Dugger, 80, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 28, 2019, from Johnson City Medical Center.
    A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas M. and Etta Oakes Irick.
    Norma was a graduate of Hampton High School and attended East Tennessee State College. She was employed at North American Rayon Corporation and the Magnavox Corporation prior to her retirement.
    Norma was a member of the Valley Forge Christian Church where she was a member of the church choir. She loved quilting, sewing and knitting.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Steve Dugger, November 2018; two brothers, Jack and B. Irick; and a sister, Vesta Bowman.
    Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Clyde Dugger; her children, Glenn Dugger and wife Greta, Daytona Beach, Fla., and Sherry Ayers and husband Steve, Johnson City; her daughter-in-law, Ginger Dugger; her brother, Ted Irick, Roan Mountain; her sister, Lois Morrell, Piney Flats; seven grandchildren, Nathan Dugger, Bethany Wachterman, Emily Dugger, Ian Dugger, Makia Tenner, Austin Ayers and Eli Ayers; and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services for Norma Ruth Irick Dugger will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. David Siebenaler, minister, officiating. Music will be provided by the Valley Forge Christian Church Choir and Frieda Winters, harpist. The graveside service and interment will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 31, in the Whitehead Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

    Larry "Rabbit" Irick, 61, of Elizabethton, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at his residence, following an extended illness. Larry was born in Carter County, a son of Martha Pritchard Irick, of Elizabethton, and the late Lloyd Glasco Irick. "Rabbit" had worked as a forklift operator for the Robinette Company and was a life-time member of the Elks Lodge. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Vicki Reed Irick, of the home; one daughter, Janice Irick Campbell and fiancé, Shawn, of Mountain City; one step-son, Adam Pierson, of Elizabethton; three grandsons, Gunnar Honeycutt, of the home, and Jake and Kota Pierson, both of Elizabethton; one granddaughter, Katelynn Lingerfelt, of Elizabethton; three brothers, Gene Irick and wife Liz, of California, and Melvin Irick and wife Deanna and Jerry Irick and wife Commanda, both of Elizabethton; and one sister, Linda Stillwell and husband Mike, of Jonesborough. Several nieces and nephews, as well as his special friends, Terry and Valerie Vines, Dain and Vickie Neely, John and June Rash, Cloudy and Joann Guinn, Donald and Claudia Holloway, Jeff Guinn, Beverly Guinn, Michael and Katie Reed, Judy Oliver, members of the Elizabethton Elks Lodge, Tom and Debbie Fair, and Roger Combs, also survive. The family will hold a time of remembrance on Friday, August 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Elizabethton Elks Lodge. Everyone is welcome. Mr. Irick was a Brick and Stone Mason.     ELIZABETHTON - Steve Dugger, age 60, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord from Duke University on Monday, November 26, 2018, following a courageous battle.


    Steve was born in Elizabethton to Walter Clyde Dugger and Norma Ruth Irick Dugger, of Elizabethton.

    Steve was a loving husband and father and was a very active member of Valley Forge United Methodist Church. He retired from the Carter County Highway Department, where he had worked on the paving crew. Steve enjoyed participating in Revolutionary War Re-Enactments with the re-enactment group, Company of Over Mountain Men.

    Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his parents, include his wife, Ginger Sparger Dugger, of the home; his son, Nathan Dugger, of Elizabethton; his daughter, Bethany Wachterman and husband Jason, of Waynesville, NC; one brother, Glenn Dugger and wife Greta, of Port Orange, FL; one sister, Sherry Ayers and husband Steve, of Johnson City; his niece, Emily Dugger; and four nephews, Ian Dugger, Austin Ayers, Eli Ayers and Kevin Sparger.

    A service to celebrate the life of Steve Dugger will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Friday, November 30, 2018 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Brent Nidiffer, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday.

    The graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
