    PINEY FLATS - Samuel "Sam" Harold Elliott Jr. 68, of Piney Flats Tennessee went home to be with the Lord Tuesday October 16, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Johnson City.

    Sam was born in Albuquerque New Mexico but spent most of his life in the Elizabethton-Piney Flats area. Sam loved his church family and was a member of Edgefield United Methodist Church. Sam loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

    Sam is preceded in death by his mother Margaret Elliott Fitzgerald and father Samuel Elliott Sr.

    Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 48 years Janet Mellons Elliott, daughter Christy Elliott PeterPaul and husband Nicholas, daughter Lori Amber Elliott, grandchildren Emily Hall, Ambria Turner, Krisalyn Elliott, Joseph PeterPaul, along with several cousins.

    A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm Thursday October 19, 2018 at Tetrick Funeral Services 3001 Peoples St. Johnson City Tennessee, 37604 with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00pm with Pastor Estel Williams officiating. A graveside services will be held Friday October 19, 2018 at Edgefield United Methodist Church Cemetery at 11:00am.

    ELLIZABETHTON - Lori Amber Elliott, age 40, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at her residence.

    She was born in Johnson City, TN and was the daughter of Janet Mellons Elliott, Piney Flats, TN and the late Samuel Harold Elliott Jr. She was an employee of Associated Pain Specialists in Gray and she was a member of Edgefield United Methodist Church in Piney Flats. Lori loved her daughters and was very devoted to them.

    Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Janet Mellons Elliott, Piney Flats, TN; two daughters, Ambria Elizabeth Turner and Krisalyn Samea Elliott, both of the home; a sister, Christy PeterPaul and husband Nicholas, Johnson City, TN; a niece, Emily Hall and a nephew, Joseph PeterPaul, both of Johnson City; her grandmother, Carrie Mellons, Piney Flats, TN and two aunts, Pansy Wilkinson and Dolores Chapman and husband Rome, all of Piney Flats, TN. Several cousins also survive.

    A funeral service to honor the life of Lori Amber Elliott will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Monday, March 16, 2020 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Estel Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service or at the residence of her mother at any time.

    A private graveside service will be held in the Edgefield United Methodist Church Cemetery.
