    DEATHS
    James B. Parsons, 59, of 5755 Berry Creek, Houston, Tex., formerly of Johnson County, died Tuesday in a Houston Hospital, after an illness of several months. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local No. 84, and a member of the Christ Methodist Church.
    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Louise Parsons, of Houston, Tex.; his mother, Mrs. Lillie Parsons, Mountain City; one brother, George Parsons, Mountain City; three sisters, Mrs. Ann Potter, Kennett Square, Pa., Mrs. Nina Shelton, Kennett Square, Pa., and Mrs. Edith Fenner, Harve De Grace, Md.; several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were conducted Saturday, 2 p.m., from the Gentry Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Gillespie and Rev. Virgel Booher officiating.
    Pallbearers were Junior Ward, Frank Icenhour, Alvin Buchanan, Charles Williams, Junior Icenhour, and Bill Morefield.
    Flower-bearers were friends and neighbors.
    Lewis Gentry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    Anna Mae Parsons Potter, age 82, of 456 B. Johnson Road, Mountain City went to be with our Lord on Monday, January 17, 2005 after a lengthy illness. She was a daughter of the late Landon and Lily Parsons and was preceded in death by her husband Paul Potter. She was also preceded by two sons, Paul Icenhour and Frankie Icenhour, two sisters, Edith Fenner and Mina Shelton, two brothers, Burt Parsons and George Parsons and five grandchildren. Anna was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and also i the Ladies Circle for years before becoming ill. She loved being with her family and friends.
    Survivors include a son John Icenhour and wife Jo Ann of Leesville, South Carolina, two daughters, Jean Baird, wife of the late Abner Baird, of Gilbert, South Carolina and Peggy Daddezio and husband Carlo, with whom she had lived with and had been taken care of by for many years, seven step-children, Cecil Potter of Marion, NC, Paul Potter of Stokesdale, NC, Myrtle Icenhour of Lenni, PA, Madge Sexton of Peach Bottom, PA, Laura Hodge, Connie Williams and Dorothy Able all of Mountain City, thirty six grandchildren, thirty seven gread grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, special friends, Bertha Wilcox, Ilene Cuddy and Ola Mae Scott and many more. A very special thank you to Clyde May, who not only was her care giver, but was also loved very deeply by Anna.
    Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P>M> Wednesday, January 19, 2005 from Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Steele to officiate. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 20, 2005 from the Reece Memorial Cenetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 P>M> Wednesday at the church and other times friends may call at the home of a daughter Peggy and son in law Carlo Daddezio.

    James Landon "Bud" Fenner, age 72, of Mountain City, TN passed away on Tuesday April 17, 2012 at the Mountain City Care Center. He was a Johnson County native and a sone of the late Arthur "Tip" Fenner, Sr. and Edith Parsons Fenner. Mr. Fenner was retired from Thomasville Furniture. "Bud" was a big Dale Ernhardt fan and he loved workin on his old cars, farming and had a great love for Johnson County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Charsha and Julia Ward, and one brother, Frank Fenner.
    Survivors include, one stepson, Kenneth "Timmy" Taylor and wife Missy of Mountain City, TN, two sisters, Mary Woody of Gray, TN and Jane McCormick and husband Sonny of Havre De Grace, MD, two step grandchildren, Amber and Brittany Taylor of Mountain City, TN and several nieces and nephews. Special friends Buford Lipford, Spencer Roark and Jim Thorton also survive.
    Funeral services for James Landon "Bud" Fenner will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 from Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Spencer Roark officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Will Fenner, Wade Fenner, Scott Fenner, Dana Buchanan, Bruce Reece, Joseph Greer, Adam Greer and Chet Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Ward, Bryce McKinney, Sonny McCormick, Matthew Miller, Charles Williams, Buford Lipford, Lester Ward, Mark Miller, Earl Farmer and Howard Stout. A special thanks to Dr. Jim Shine, Mountain City EMS, Moutain City Care and Rehabilitation Center and the doctors and nurses at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

    It is with great sadness the family of Arthur Albert Fenner, Jr. announces his passing on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Johnson County, TN on April 15, 1943 to the late Arthur Albert Fenner, Sr. and the late Edith Pearl Parsons. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by two brothers: Frank Fenner and Bud Fenner and two sisters: Louise Charsha and Julie Ward.
    He was a member of the Doe Valley Sportsman Association, Tennessee Bear Hunters Association, the National Wild Turkey Association and the National Hunting Beagle Association. He raised and ran Beagles.
    Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Pamala Cody Fenner, of the home; two daughters: Kelly Fenner Roberson (Greg) Tampa, FL and Angela Zellman Tidwell (Aron) Harrison, ME; two sons: Will Fenner (Diana) Easton, MD and Wade Fenner (Tisha) Aberdeen, MD; two sisters: Mary Woody, Gray, TN and Jane McCormick (Sonny), Havre de Grace, MD; four grandchildren: Autumn Fenner, Trae Fenner, Timothy Tidwell and Jared Tidwell. Several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Roby Phillippi also survive.
    A funeral service will be held for Arthur on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Gale Hartley. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. A graveside service and interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park.
    Active pallbearers: Joseph Greer, Adam Greer, Scott Fenner, Mark Miller, Sam Norwood and Drew Norwood. Honorary pallbearers: Roby Phillippi and members of the Doe Valley Sportsman Association.

    JOHNSON CITY - Kathy Ann Ward McCloud McAmis, Johnson City, Tn., born June 25, 1955 passed away at her home on Saturday, September 9, 2017 after a brief illness.

    Kathy was a daughter of the late Nathan D. Ward, Jr. & Julia Fenner Ward. She was born in Carter County, where she spent the rest of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal Grandparents, N.D. & Sarah Tester Ward, her maternal grandparents: Arthur & Edith Parsons Fenner, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

    Kathy was employed at Wal-Mart in Unicoi as department manager in health and beauty. She was a member of West Side Christian Church but had been attending North Ridge Community Church in Erwin. Kathy attended Elizabethton City Schools and graduated in 1973 from Elizabethton High School.

    Those left to feel the loss, but rejoice in God's promise of being reunited again, are her sons: Lance McCloud, Johnson City, Scott & Claudia McCloud, Aurora, Illinois. Her granddaughter and light of her life, Hannah McCloud, Aurora, Illinois, her fiancé Danny Honaker, Johnson City, sister & brother-in-law: Beverly & Bryce McKinney and niece and husband, Brenna & Ashe Worthington, all of Elizabethton. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive, along with her two beloved dogs, Jake & Allie.

    A gathering for family and friends will be on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Chapel 212 N. Main Street, Elizabethton from 5 to 7 p.m. Private disposition will be held at a later date. The family wished to thank Franklin Woods Hospital staff, 2nd floor, Dr. Hodges, Dr. Kramer and all those who attended to her needs. Honorary Pallbearers are Co- workers from Wal-Mart, Unicoi, friends and neighbors.
