    Della Mae Birchfield, 92, Butler, passed away Friday April 1, 2011, at the residence of a daughter, Iva Lee Stevens, in Elizabethton.

    A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Elizabeth Lunsford Strickland. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Birchfield was a member of the Piercetown Baptist Church. She was a 50 year member of Butler Chapter #218 Order of the Eastern Star.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen S. Birchfield, October 14, 1973.

    Survivors include Two Sons & Daughters-In-Law: Larry Raymond & Dossie Birchfield, Butler, and Jim L. & Sharon Birchfield, Elizabethton; Three Daughters & Sons-In-Law: Sue & Fred Crowe, Butler, Iva Lee & Larry Stevens & Carolyn & Charlie Bise all of Elizabethton; 10 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; Several nieces & nephews; Her special friends: Carl Byers, Nora Carver, Carlee Widener, Penny Hinkle and Johnny Proffitt; Her pet dog, Pooh.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harvey White and Rev. Frank Osborne officiating.

    Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011, in the Walnut Mountain Cemetery. Music will be provided by Kathy Chambers and Debbie Bailey. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, will be: Mark Crowe, Logan Birchfield, Carl Lee Widener, Johnny Broyles, Collin Bise and Carl Byers. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dr. Keith Cook, Dr. Alfonzo Arze and Dr. Kiran Patibandla.
    Memorial Funeral Chapel was in charge.

    BUTLER - Lynda Sue Birchfield Crow, 69, Butler passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 3, 2019 at her residence.

    Born May 22, 1949 in Butler to the late Allen Stacy & Della Strickland Birchfield. She was a graduate of Johnson County High School where she played drums in the band. Sue was a former employee of Stateline Market for 17 ½ years. She was of the Baptist Faith.

    Survivors include her husband of 51 years: Fred Kennon Crow. Two Children: Melissa Jollie & husband David, Aiken, South Carolina and Mark Crowe & wife Charmaine, Butler. Four Grandchildren: Benjamin, Rebekah and Joseph Jollie and Marcus Crowe. Her Siblings: Ivalee Stevens & husband Larry and Carolyn Bise & husband Charlie, all of Elizabethton, Jim Birchfield, Watauga and Raymond Birchfield & wife Dossie, Butler. Several nieces & nephews.

    Graveside Service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019 in the Walnut Mountain Cemetery, Roan Mountain with the Rev. Harvey White officiating. Burial will follow the service. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday will be: Cody Stout, Collin Bise, George Robinson, Michael Kyte, Jim Birchfield and Dallas Hopkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be: friends, neighbors and previous customers of Stateline Market.
