MRS. SELINA JANE NAVE
Mrs. Selina Jane Nave, wife of Henry J. Nave, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. E. Collins of Watauga Valley, yesterday. She was 87 years of age.
Funeral services will be held at the Hyder cemetery on Powder Branch Monday afternoon at three o'clock. The Rev. D. B. Bowers, pastor of the Unaka Avene Baptist church of Johnson City, will officiate.
Pallbearers will be nephews of Mrs. Nave.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. D. B. Bowers of Johnson City, Mrs. A. R. Collins of Watauga Valley, Mrs. Will Grindstaff of Siam; one son, Walter Nave of Elizabethton; and several grandchildren.

Sabina married Henry J. Nave about 1876 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Henry was born in Aug 1854 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 5 Aug 1939 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Hyder Cemetery, , Carter County, Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Walter E. Nave died Tuesday morning at 715 3rd Street.
Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Homer Weaver, Johnson City, Mrs. L. C. Harrison, Johnson City, Mrs. Kate Switzer, Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Nell Fliff, California, Mrs. Ruth Sjoblin, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Pauline Carriger, Oak Ridge; two sons, Bruce Nave and Henry Nave, Akron; and two step-daughters; two sisters, Mrs. D. B. Bowers, Johnson City, and Mrs. J. W. Grindstaff, Elizabethton; fourteen grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Funeral services for Walter E. Nave, 71, who died Tuesday morning, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Chapel of the Roy Hathaway Funeral Home with Rev. D. B. Bowers officiating.
Music will be under the direction of Rev. D. B. Bowers.
Burial will be made in Grindstaff Cemetery at Siam.
The body will remain in the chapel of the Roy Hathaway Funeral Home.

Mrs. A. R. Collins Dies At Her Home in Hunter
Kate Beatrice Collins, 65, wife of Dr. Arthur R. Collins, died at her home at Hunter yesterday evening. Mrs. Collins had been ill since last March. She was a member of the Hunter Baptist Church. She was married to Dr. Collins October 2, 1898.
Surviving her besides her husband, are one brother, Walter Nave of Elizabethton, two sisters, Mrs. D. B. Bowers of Johnson City and Mrs. Will Grindstaff of Siam.
Funeral services will be held from the home tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. Lloyd Greer officiating and burial in the Hyder Cemetery at Milligan.
Pallbearers are Clay Hardin, Charlie Hardin, Campbell Williams, Wiley Taylor, Shirley Williams, Jim Lewis and Clarence Howard.
Flower bearers will be Mrs. Grace Lewis, Mrs. Maggie Howard, Mrs. Ethel Williams, Mrs. Allie Davis, Mrs. Dan Smith, Mrs. Vester Rash, and friends.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Tetrick Funeral Home.
