    BRISTOL — John Barton Wilson, age 84, a former resident of Alhambra Drive, Bristol, TN passed away July 1, 2006 while in Life Care Center, Gray, TN.

    He was a native Johnson County, TN a son of the late William and Dottie Arnold Wilson. He had lived in Bristol since 1943 and was a retired machinist with Raytheon, a member of Center View Church of Christ and a U.S. Army veteran.

    Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Burlie Wilson, brothers, Wayne Wilson, Jack Wilson, Howard Wilson, Paul Wilson, Harry Wilson and a sister, Ora Tester.

    Survivor’s include his Daughter, Donna Wilson Scott and her husband Roger, Blountville,TN. Sister, Ruby Moody, Mountain City,TN. Grandsons, Rusty Scott, Bristol, TN and Jonathan Scott, Kingsport, TN. Special Sister In Law, Dorothy Wilson, Elizabethton, TN. Special Friend, Wilene White, Elizabethton, TN. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be conducted Monday July 3, 2006 at 1:30 P.M. in Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Clay Austin and Rev. Pete Booher officiating.

    Ruby Kate Wilson Moody, age 93, of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Mountain City Care Center. She was born on April 15, 1923 to the late Dr. William Clyde Wilson and Dottie Arnold Wilson. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by a one sister, six brothers and a grandson, Michael Moody.

    Ruby enjoyed the outdoors very much, especially feeding and watching the birds and her flowers. Ruby loved her family very much and loved cooking and having family get togethers. She was a gifted quilter and made many treasured quilts for her family. She had a special love for animals, especially cats and dogs, of which she had several throughout the years. Ruby was always willing to help others and volunteered at the Mountain City Care Center and Welcome Center. She always loved a good yard sale and the contents in her out building were proof of that.

    She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist church.

    Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters: Carolyn Diugus and Nancy Mahala and husband Buster; sons: Billy Moody, Jimmy Moody and wife Barbara and Danny Moody; half- sisters: Lois Wilson Price and Mary Alice Wilson Roper; grandchildren: Jason Moody, Randy 'Bo' Pleasant, Andrew Roark and Erin Taylor; great grandchildren: MacKenzie Moody and Michael Wayne Moody; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m .on Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Shannon Courtner officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow the funeral at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brad Taylor, Andrew Roark, Bill Moody, Buster Mahala and family and friends.

    Ruby married Edward Dean Moody on 4 Sep 1946 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. Edward (son of Edward Boone Moody and Addie Zola Morefield) was born on 1 Jan 1922 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; died on 13 Mar 1994; was buried in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, , Johnson County, Tennessee.     Carolyn Moody Pleasant, age 60, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017. She was born on July 23, 1956 to the late Edward Dean Moody and Ruby Kate Wilson Moody.

    Carolyn loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed hiking. She had a special love for animals, especially her dogs.

    Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Randy 'Bo' Pleasant; sister, Nancy Mahala and husband Buster; brothers; Billy Moody, Jimmy Moody and wife Barbara and Danny Moody; several nieces and nephews.

    Memorial services for Carolyn will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shannon Courtner officiating.
