She was a homemaker and in her early years taught school. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde A. DeVault, a sister, Kate Hodge, a brother, A.J. Isenberg Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Salts and Sally Hicks of Gray; A son and wife, Clyde and Barbara DeVault of Gray; Six grandsons, Danny and Phil Sells, Shannon Salts, Tim Hicks, Kenneth & Gerald DeVault; Two granddaughters, Luanna Wheelock and Alisa Rogers; eight great-granddaughters and eleven great-grandsons; and five great-great-grandchildren.     GRAY - David "Clinton" Isenberg, Gray, TN., went to be with his Lord and Savior on the morning of April 20, 2017 at Johnson City Medical Center.

    Clinton was born September 23, 1926, and lived most of his 90 years in Gray, Tennessee. He proudly served our country in Japan with the United States Army in WWII. After working years as a welder in many states, he continued his career up to his retirement from Holston Defense, Kingsport. He was a 32nd Degree Mason at the Sinking Creek Masonic Lodge in Gray. He loved his church and attended regularly at Bethany Presbyterian and in his later years at Gray United Methodist until his health declined.

    Clinton was the son of the late John and Vertie Mohler Isenberg. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Leslie, Carl and Nick Isenberg and one grandson David Reed.

    Left to carry on his loving memory is his wife and best friend of 67 years Arliss; two daughters, Kathey Reed and husband Rick and Brenda Vaughan; grandchildren: Stacy and Tammy Vaughan, Holly Vaughan, and Chris Reed; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Nevaeh Reed. He shared so many special memories with his wonderful sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and with countless dear relatives and friends.

    The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and medical staff at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Johnson City, as well as, a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful caregivers and sitters for the past year and a half. You were truly a blessing to all of us. Thank you also Pastor and friend Lloyd Jones and our church friends for your prayers and visits.

Margie was born in Elizabethton to the late Harry Gerome Smith and Margaret (Eisenberg) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years, Samuel Jason Geiser; her brother, Ron Smith; and several other beloved family members. Margie retired from the insurance industry where she had worked as an insurance underwriter. She was of the Baptist faith. Her greatest joy was her family and she loved spending time with her daughters. She also enjoyed gardening, word search puzzles and was very talented in decorating her home. Those left to remember and cherish Margie’s memory include her daughters, Jan Hoffman and Judy Crowley; a sister-in-law, Linda Smith; two grandchildren, Emily Gault and Tyler Buck; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob Scanlan and Nicole Scanlan. Margie will be laid to rest with her husband at Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Section) on Tuesday, January 31, at 1 p.m. Margie’s daughter will provide a eulogy for her mom.

    Mike was born and raised in Washington County, Tennessee, and graduated from Sulphur Springs school in 1971. Mike recently retired from Washington County Sheriffs Department after 27 years as the Lead of the Food Service Department. He was a proud member of New Hope Brethren Church.
    Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Cleo Ford, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
    Survivors include his wife and soulmate of the home, Jan, his beloved son, Mike Hawkins and his wife Julie, the two lights of his life, grandson Caleb and granddaughter Izzy, brothers, Ray Ford and his wife Bertha, Dale Ford and his wife Joyce, Dennis Ford and his wife Joan, sisters, Donna Pruitt and her husband David, June Gibson and her husband Tim, numerous nieces and nephews and countless extended family.
    Mike proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for 8 years, where he learned the tools of his trade, cooking. He was currently serving his 3rd term as Washington County Commissioner serving on numerous committees. He was a member of the Sinking Creek Masonic Lodge, the Arcania Eastern Star Lodge, the Blue Knights International Motorcycle Club, and was a member of the Washington County Cattleman’s Association. He served on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Constable Association and was a member of the Hales Chapel and Leesburg Ruritan. He was currently the president of the Tri-State Antique Power Association and belonged to several Antique Car clubs. Mike was also currently serving his 27th year as the oldest member of the Washington County Reserve Deputy Program. He sang and played bass for many gospel groups over the years which he enjoyed greatly. His unyielding Christian morals made him the strong force in his family and what he displayed to his family and friends.
    The family will receive friends at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home on Friday, December 31, 2021, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and again on Saturday, January 1, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will follow Saturday’s visitation and will begin at 7:00 PM. A private burial will be performed on Mike’s beloved family farm.

    In addition to her mother, Mrs. Wilhoit is survived by one son, Kyle Shannon Earp, Johnson City; one daughter, Candice Ayers, Johnson City; two sisters, Karla Birchfield and Janet Isenberg, both of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Cody Reed, Dawn Reed, Megan Earp and Jessica Earp, all of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews.

    The family of Lisa Robin Isenberg Wilhoit will receive friends Thursday, May 20, 2004, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the home of her son, Kyle Shannon Earp, 3517 Chelsea Ln., Johnson City.

    It was Mrs. Wilhoit’s wishes to be cremated and to have no formal memorial service.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Attn: Donation Processing, 700 Broadway, Suite 810 , Denver, CO 80203-3442.

    She was born and raised in Johnson City, and the third daughter born to the late Lois Evelyn (Deloach) and Karl Isenberg. She was a former English teacher at ETSU, having received her Master's degree in English Literature from the same institution. More than anything she enjoyed dogs, reading and cooking for holidays.

    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Karla Annette Birchfield, Lisa Robyn Wilhoit, and her brother, Larry Keith Isenberg.

    Surviving family is her daughter, Courtney (Robinson) Thrift and husband Lee of Winston Salem NC, ex-husband and part-time care-taker Kenneth Robinson of Johnson City TN, Neices Candice (Candi) (Earp) Ayers of TN, Amy (Isenberg) Kelley of TN, Nephews Kyle Shannon Earp and wife Becky of TN, and Adam Isenberg of GA. She also had extended family with cousins, grand-nieces and nephews and great grandnephews.
