JOHNSON, OSCAR ANDREW, age 82, of Jefferson City, formerly of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed way at 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening, January 21, 1999, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City following a brief illness. He was a member of the Covenant Life Church in Morristown and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army. Mr. Johnson was a retired employee of the Jefferson City Water Works. Survivors include his wife, Pauline "Polly" Johnson of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Alice and Phillip Stapleton of Jefferson City, Joyce and Rick Stephens of Jefferson City, Nancy and Tommy Taylor of Chestnut Hill; son and daughter-in-law, James and Lisa Johnson of Jefferson City; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Hettie Chaffin of Virginia, and Dorothy Miller of Mountain City, Tennessee; brothers, Conley Johnson of North Carolina and Earl Johnson of Mountain City, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. Interment to follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

Earl S. Johnson, age 82, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Watauga Medical Center. He was born on September 29, 1930 to the late Lilly Johnson. In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law: Irene and Wade Dunn, Ruth and Clayton Mains, Betty Johnson and Hettie Chafin and Hattie Johnson; brothers and sister-in-law: Oscar and Polly Johnson, Bruce Johnson and Sam Johnson one granddaughter, Reba Michelle Harper and two great grandchildren, Riley Edmisten and Dominic Johnson.

Earl was a retired farmer and still enjoyed being outdoors, farming, fishing and building bird houses. He had served as Johnson County Constable for 35 years. Earl had also owned and operated Johnson Fence Company for many years. Earl was a faithful man and had served as Deacon through the years and currently serves as Deacon at New Hope Baptist Church. Earl loved his family and spending time with him. He will deeply be missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lucille Lipford Johnson; daughters and sons-in-law: Missy and David Hightower, Angie and Steve Edmisten and Linda and Dean Harper; sons and daughters-in-law: Lee and Janice Johnson, Lloyd Johnson, Anthony Johnson and special friend, Mary Alice Herdman and William and Janet Johnson, Aaron and Mistee Johnson ; sister, Dorothy Miller; brother, Conley Johnson; grandchildren: Bobby Johnson, Susan Johnson, Shannon Harper, Joe Johnson, Rosanna Eggers, Charity Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Gregory Johnson, Michael Price, Reba Blevins, Gloria Newsome, Nikki Edmisten, Crystal Edmisten, David Hightower, Jennifer Hightower, Daniel Hightower, Matthew Hightower, Erica Hightower and Ethan Hightower; twenty-nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Mountain City Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Stidham to officiate. Graveside Service and Burial will follow from the Johnson Family Cemetery (beside the Lewis Cemetery). Conley Odell Johnson, age 82, of Joines Rd., Creston NC went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at his home. Conley was born June 25, 1938 in Johnson County, TN to the late Lillie B. Reece Johnson. In addition to his mother Conley was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Johnson and seven siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Shelby Jean Miller Johnson, daughter, Shannon Johnson of Mountain City, TN; sons, Daniel Johnson of Mountain City, TN, James Johnson and wife Julie of Lenoir, NC, and Kenneth Johnson and wife Alice of Mountain City, TN, sister, Dorothy Miller of Mountain City, TN, grandchildren, Alex Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Harold Conley Johnson, Julie Ann Barrier, Jason Johnson, Beth Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Lydia Johnson, Noah Greer Alyssa Stout, great-grandchildren, Isabella Johnson, Brianna Barrier, Liam Barrier, Dravon Barrier, Hayden and Jayden Johnson, Fiona Johnson, Sawyer Johnson, Brenden Terrell and Zakary Stowe, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lloyd Ray Johnson age 64, of Mountain City, TN passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Bristol, TN. He was born in Banner Elk, NC on August 16, 1956 to the late Earl Johnson and Lucille Lipford Johnson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Anthony Johnson and Lee Johnson.

Lloyd loved hunting and fishing. He liked to go to the lake and he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memories include his daughter, Susan Johnson and Steven Luchini; son, Bobby Johnson and husband Jhon Agudelo; sisters, Missy Hightower and husband David, Angie Edmisten and husband Steve, Linda Harper and husband Dean; brother, Willie Johnson and wife Janet; grandchild, Charles Johnson and wife Rachel; great grandchild, Owen Johnson; sister-in-law, Janice Johnson; special niece, Jennifer Hightower and Greg and their daughter Paisleigh(squirrel) Jones; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Charles Johnson to speak. The graveside service and burial will immediately follow at Johnson-Lewis Family Cemetery. Robert Lee Johnson, age 60 of Mountain City, entered his heavenly home on Thursday, June 30, 2020 at his home. Lee was born on January 18, 1960 to Earl and Lucille Johnson in West Grove, PA. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Johnson and entered heaven’s gates meeting his babies he never met on this earth.

Lee was a one of a kind man who would give you the coat off of his back. There was no greater love than he had for his wife and children. Lee was a loving husband for almost 43 years and the greatest Husband, Daddy, and Pawpaw one could ever ask for. He was a brother, a son, an uncle, a friend, an everlasting light in everyone’s life that will never be forgotten.

Those left to cherish his memories included his wife of almost 43 years, Janice Johnson; daughter, Rosanna Lucille Johnson Eggers and husband Ray; granddaughters, Shaleah, Shyanna, Chloe, Channah Eggers; son, Joseph Lee Johnson Sr. and wife Whitney; grandsons, Joseph Lee Johnson Jr., Clayton Lee Johnson, Tyler Fletcher; granddaughters, Lillie Johnson, Chailyn Johnson, Maddison Johnson, Gracie Johnson; mother, Lucille Johnson; sisters, Linda Harper and husband Dean, Angie Edmisten and husband Steve, Missy Hightower and husband David; brothers, Lloyd Johnson, William Johnson and wife Janet, Aaron Johnson; brother-in-law, Bob Price; several nieces, nephews, and his dog, Piper, that was always by his side.

There will be a private graveside service held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at the Johnson-Lewis Family Cemetery with Pastor Frank Rash officiating. Pallbearers will be Joseph Johnson Jr., Joseph Johnson Sr., Ray Eggers, Dave Hightower, Daniel Hightower, Greggory Johnson, Billy Caldwell, Ricky Courtner, Gregory Jones, and Coy Lipford. Larry Anthony Johnson, age 54, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016. He was born on February 5, 1962 to Lucille Johnson and the late Earl S. Johnson. In addition to his father, Anthony was preceded in death by a grandson, Dominique Johnson.

Anthony was an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed ginseng hunting and fishing. Anthony also enjoyed watching westerns. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

Anthony is survived by his mother, Reba Lucille Johnson; daughter, Charity Carrillo; sons: Christopher Johnson and girlfriend Samantha Jones, Gregory Johnson and Aaron Johnson and wife Mistee; loving ex-wife, Mary Alice Herdman; grandchildren: Fantasia Garland, Zachary Garland, Gabbrielle Robbins, Travis Waspi, Isaac Johnson, Aaron Johnson Jr., Hailey Johnson and Ember Johnson; sisters: Linda Harper and husband Willard, Angela Edmisten and husband Steve and Melissa Hightower and husband David; brothers: Lloyd Johnson, Robert L. Johnson and wife Janice and William Johnson and wife Janet.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Gene Ward officiating.
