    Mrs. Bessie J. Cole Deloach, 98, 1020 Charity Hill Road, Elizabethton, died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Lenoir Health Care Center, Lenoir, N.C., following an extended illness.
    Mrs. Deloach was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Cameron and Ada Markland Cole. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Egbert Deloach, in 1960; four brothers, Hugh Cole, Frank Cole, Parrott Cole and Charlie Cole; two sisters, Lou Weaver and Elva Morrell; and two stepdaughters, Nellie McConnell and Ethel Messerschmidt.
    Mrs. Deloach was retired from the Tennessee Line and Twine Company. She was a charter member of East Side Baptist Church.
    Survivors include a daughter, Pauline Bradshaw, of the home; a sister, Mary Cole, Elizabethton; a brother, Willie Cole, Elizabethton; a stepdaughter, Ruth Davis, Crystal River, Fla.; and a grandson and his wife, Lee and Linda Bradshaw, Lenoir, N.C. Two great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Hobbs officiating. Music will be under the direction of John Brookshire. Interment will follow the service in the family cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the men of East Side Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Bowers, Gordan Brookshire and John Cornett.

    Bessie married Egbert D. "Edgar" DeLoach on 25 Oct 1924 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Egbert (son of William M. DeLoach and Frances M. Oliver) was born in Nov 1889 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 2 Feb 1960 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Hyder Cemetery, , Carter County, Tennessee.     Notes:

    HUDSON, NC - Mrs. Pauline Bradshaw, 88, of Hudson, NC, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017, in the Hickory Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Carter County and was a daughter of the late Egbert and Bessie Cole Deloach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patton Bradshaw. She was a member of the East Side Baptist Church in Elizabethton.

    Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Charlie Lee Bradshaw and his wife, Linda, Hudson, NC; two grandchildren, Chasity Bradshaw, Marion, NC; Richard Bradshaw, Connelly Springs, NC; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

    A service to honor the life of Mrs. Bradshaw will be conducted at Noon on Monday, April 24, 2017, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 11:00 AM '96 12:00 PM on Monday prior to the service.

    Interment will follow the funeral service in the Highland Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

    Pauline married Patton P. Bradshaw on 5 Jul 1947 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Patton (son of John Frank Bradshaw and Eva Hatcher) was born on 20 Dec 1921 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 28 Jan 1979 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Highland Cemetery, , Carter County, Tennessee.
