    Mrs. Cameron was a graduate of Science Hill High School. She had lived in Glen Burnie, Md., for 29 years before moving to Orlando in 1978. She retired as a clerk with the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company of Glen Burnie, where she had been employed for 29 years. She was a member of the Conway United Methodist Church of Orlando.

    Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, July 10, at Memorial Funeral Chapel.

    Graveside services and interment were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, at Happy Valley Memorial Park.

    ELIZABETHTON — James H. "Jim" Cox, 205 West "H" Street, Elizabethton, went to be with The Lord at 7:45 P.M. on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at his home following a lengthy illness.

    Mr. Cox was a native of Washington County, Tennessee, and the son of the late Earl T. and Georgia P. Jones Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Shirley Mae Adams Cox; an infant daughter, Donna Lee Cox; three sisters, Ina Cox Cameron, Edna Cox Stinett, Vera Cox Rogers; and one brother, Robert C. "Bob" Cox.

    Mr. Cox was a long time member of West Side Christian Church and was retired as a self-employed electrician. Many will remember Mr. Cox from his earlier years as a supervisor at the former Smithdeal's Super Market in Elizabethton. He was a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather who cherished his family and his church.

    Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Geddie Monroe; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Mary Cox, Sid and Cindy Cox and Tim and Cheri Cox, all of Elizabethton; grandchildren, Adam Monroe, of Jonesborough, Ryan Cox, of St. Augustine, Florida, Brooks Monroe, of Johnson City, Chelsie Cox, Courtney Cox, Chesnie Cox and Kaytlyn Cox, all of Elizabethton; Trenton Barnes and Danielle Barnes, of Jonesborough. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    The funeral service for Mr. Cox will be conducted at 5 P.M. Saturday, July 10, 2010, at West Side Christian Church with Mr. Greg Key, Minister, officiating.

    The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the church after the funeral service and at Mr. Cox's home, 205 West "H" Street, thereafter.

    The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to be at Tetrick Funeral Home at 1:15 P.M. on Sunday, will be Adam Monroe, Brooks Monroe, Ryan Cox, Geddie Monroe, Glen Rogers, Phil Rogers, Jeff Cox, Greg Cox, Donnie Cox, Brian Stinett, Alan Cameron and Mike Cameron. Honorary pallbearers will be Luther McKeehan, Doug Stair, L.E. Jones, Leon Overby and Elders and Deacons of West Side Christian Church.

    The Cox family expresses a special thank you for the love, kindness and compassion shown by his special care-givers, Joy Taylor, Tagan Hamm, David Jenkins and the Staff of Amedysis Hospice; and Dr. Jerry Gastineau and Dr. David Fenner.

    Graveside services and interment will be at 1 p.m. Friday, January 6, at Washington County Memory Gardens.
