    Notes:

    Tom McIntosh, age 77, Flag Pond, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a son of the late Samuel and Bessie Treadway McIntosh.

    Mr. McIntosh was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal and Rifle Badge Marksman. He served with the United States Marine Corp at Camp Lejeune, NC, Okinawa, Japan and Da Nang, Vietnam. Tom was one of the few that went into the Marine Corp by the way of the military draft. He was a Leatherneck, Jarhead and a Marine. Semper Fi Tom.

    Tom was a Machine Operator at Thomasville Furniture for sixteen years. He was a active member of Sweetwater Church of God. He sang with the quartet for many years. Tom health failed him in his last years but he still came to church as much as possible. It was such a treat to hear Tom. Brown Ray and Jane Ann Pate sing. He is displaying hes base voice with the Angels in Heave.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Foy McIntosh, N.J. McIntosh and infant brother Alexander McIntosh.

    He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of fifty-one years, Buryl McIntosh; one daughter, Dorene Tipton (James); two grandchildren: Breanna Sams and Samuel Cutshall; one brother, Jerry McIntosh; several nieces and nephews also survive.

    The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 PM on Sunday, December 15, 2019 in the McIntosh-Hensley Cemetery. Reverend Craig Shelton will officiate at the 3:00 PM graveside service. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow graveside service.
