LUBERTA (nee DeLoach) SMITH

     Luberta Smith, 85, died Sunday, March 3, 1996, at Akron General Medical Center.

     She was born in Kennedy, Ala., and was an area resident for most of her life. She was a member of Grace Cathedral.

     She is survived by husband, Hartford of Cleveland; sons, Hartford (Maryann) and Johnny (Sally), all of Detroit, Mich.; daughters Gaytha Surgeon of Akron, Tyna Freeman of Cleveland, and Peggy Smith of Detroit, Mich.; brothers, James DeLoach of Cleveland and Arthur DeLoach of St. Louis, Mo.; sisters, Luvenia Dixon of St. Louis, Mo., and Mamie DeLoach of Detroit, Mich.; 19 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

     Funeral services will be held Monday, 1 p.m. at Ernest Angley's Bible College (formerly Grace Cathedral), Rev. Robert Hoffman and Rev. Chris Machamer officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, one hour prior to services at the church.
