Samuel DeLoach, the son of Thomas DeLoach and Patience ALLISON, was born about 1762 in Old Craven County, South Carolina. He married Ferriby BURTON about 1787 in Edgefield County, South Carolina, and they had four known children: Samuel DeLoach Jr. (1788), Thomas DeLoach (1799), James William DeLoach (1804), Mary DeLoach (1806).

Janie Holland is a descendant of Samuel's son Thomas, and found the Bibles of Thomas DeLoach and his son Samuel in the Mississippi archives.
