JAMES TREADWAY
Elizabethton, June 9 - James Treadway, age 76, died at the home of his son, Arthur Treadway, Route 6, Elizabethton, Wednesday evening at 8:15 after a short illness.
Mr. Treadway was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sons, Arthur Treadway, Elizabethton, Robert L. Treadway, N.J.; one daughter, Mrs. Mae Hathaway, Elizabethton; four sisters, Mrs. John Henry, Limestone, Mrs. Laura Vanhuss, Mrs. Austin Nave, Mrs. Bill Hardin, Elizabethton; four brothers, Alex Treadway, Monroe Treadway, C. E. Treadway, Bowman Treadway, Elizabethton; 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Valley Forge Christian Church Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock with Rev. J. J. Musick and Rev. Carl Osborne officiating.
Burial will be made in Smith Cemetery.
Active pallbearers: Paul Headrick, Graham Hagy, Carl Treadway, Sanders Henry, Carl Williams, Roy Garrison, Ed Hathaway, W. E. Holtzclaw.
Flower bearers will be the nieces.
The body will be returned to the home of Arthur Treadway Friday morning.
