Daniel Boone Potter
Daniel Boone Potter, age 81, Trade, Wallace Community, died at his home Sunday at 12:05 a.m. following a lengthy illness. Hhe[sic] was a native of Johnson County, a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Mary Potter, Trade; three daughters, Mrs. Fannie Roark, Shouns, Mrs. Sarah Main, Vilas, North Carolina, and Mrs. Ethel Mahala, Trade; a sister, Mrs. Lou Eggers, Trade; 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from the Evergreen Baptist Church, Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dolphus Foister and the Rev. Orville Wallace officiating. Burial was in Potter Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Hill Wallace, Howard Wallace, Glenn Bumgardner, Vaughn Potter, Ray Mains, Jake Snyder, Earl Roark, Martin Miller.
Lewis Gentry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
