- Margaret A. Carver, 90, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 16, 2022, following a lengthy illness. She was a member of Hunter First Baptist Church.
Margaret was born on September 12, 1931, a daughter of the late William Emmert Taylor and Flara Smith Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herve Carver Jr.; a brother, William W. Taylor; and seven sisters, Helen L. Taylor, Evelyn L. Taylor, Pauline Edwards, Betty J. Roten, all of whom were from Elizabethton, Edna Archer, Mildred Carriger, Johnson City, and Mary Bernholt, Versailles, Ohio.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jenny Harrison, and granddaughter, Abigail Harrison. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Margaret A. Carver will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, April 18, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Gerald Holly, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, in the Rittertown Baptist Church Cemetery with selective members of her church family at Hunter First Baptist Church conducting the service.
